‘Our message resonated with voters’: Mark Sutcliffe speaks to supporters

Thank you all for being here tonight. It's another beautiful night in Ottawa. Across our city, residents came together and voted on the future of Ottawa and our message resonated with voters. Our message to continue to build our city and keep it moving forward. Whether you live in urban Ottawa, in our suburban communities or our rural villages, You chose to support a plan to build an even better city for our children and grandchildren. Tonight, I want to say thank you to the other mayoralty candidates. Tonight, I want to thank the other mayoralty candidates. To Jeff Leeper, Neil Saravanamutu, and Alex Lawson, thank you to each of you for serving our community by putting your names forward as candidates. Let's hear it for them. Throughout this campaign, I heard from passionate residents, some of whom voted for us and some of whom didn't. I heard your concerns about public transit, about public safety, about affordable housing, about building a better city for everyone. And I promise you, I will work hard every day to live up to all of your expectations.
