Hey y'all, I'm Tabby and this is Tabby's treasured home.
You know what time it is.
It's time to go hunt for some treasures.
Today we are going to two thrift stores local to me
and I'm hoping to find a little bit of vintage Christmas,
maybe some things for the house,
but definitely sourcing for the shop.
Come on, let's go, let's go.
Alright y'all, we are at Classy's to start this video off.
This place has tons of different options
for decor and clothing
and they have a little section up at the front with the more expensive
items, but I always head toward the back to Furniture
and Home where some of their
clearance items are. Before we head toward
the back to check out the Christmas,
Of course I have to see what all of these aisles have to offer
and this peanut shaped
basket caught my eye and I definitely thought about my dad
who is a fan of boiled peanuts.
You can always find bowl filler type items here too like
this giant bucket full of lemons
and apples.
I like to use these in baskets
and bowls in the kitchen just to add some color and life. I loved
this creamer with the blue floral, but there was a chip on it,
so I did leave it behind. One thing
is for certain, if you're ever looking
for a decorative tray for somewhere in your home,
check the thrift store first.
You can find these pretty much everywhere and I know that
one was a little bit specific with the ornate detailing
and the grapes around the edges, but
I always find trays. No matter where I go, there's always a tray.
I absolutely loved this Rusty Krusty Jack-o'-lantern
and this Mickey Mouse lantern.
We are big Disney fans here. Do you guys love Disney?
Oh, I love it so much.
I did find this bow candle holder,
which I thought was perfect for Christmas.
It doesn't have to be for Christmas,
but the bow definitely reminded me of the holiday season.
And then, of course, they always have little pieces here
and there that have that cottagecore vibe.
That's what you love.
And these houses here reminded me of Christmas, too.
I thought you could put some twinkle lights in the top,
or you could put candles.
You could even use them to hold treats and snacks.
For your friends or family for gatherings,
I found this candle holder and later found
a matching one for it and put them together on the shelf
so someone could buy them.
It did get in my cart originally, but I decided to leave it.
I loved these right here, these tea light holders,
but I did not like how they were
individually priced.
I did think they would be pretty on a tablescape.
Our cart is looking good but we definitely need
to edit it down a little bit but before we do that
we're going to take another stroll around maybe once
or twice and check out things that we may
have missed
along the way.
Here they are
together again
and I even added
a candle
on top of the
shorter one just to make it a little bit more appealing
for whoever came by next. I did check
out a little bit more of the Christmas
and then I found this glass checkered board here and
Obviously, this pattern has been pretty popular
for a while now, and I almost got it.
I was thinking about putting it in a kitchen
and using it to display things on top of,
but it did have some chips on the edges, so I left it behind.
It would also be really cool in a family game room
or something like that.
For some reason, I really loved
this candle wall sconce.
I thought it was really beautiful.
I don't even know what design style this is, but you guys know
my likes are just all over the place.
I like a little bit of everything, so and somehow I blend
it all together and it works,
but I left that behind because I did not like the price of it
and I always find these types of things to put
my candles in just to make them a little bit
more fancier, make them a little bit more decorative.
All right, next stop is Habitat for Humanity Restore.
I love this place, the people are so nice.
But one thing about me though,
that buggy has gotta be right.
And I put that one right on back
because it was not rolling like I needed it to.
I loved this table and chairs just because of the chairs.
This store had so many gorgeous chairs this day,
and I cannot wait to show you all of them.
Some of them were a little damaged, but oh my goodness, so beautiful.
All I could think about holding this decorative DIY heart
was how much of their fingers did they have to sacrifice
to make that with those little pokey balls.
Very creative, you know, have to use all the supplies that you can,
even if they're just from your yard.
I loved this huge handmade.
I loved the color of it.
I loved everything about it.
I don't even know why I didn't get it.
So much work went into that, I felt.
I also have this weird fascination with iron.
I love this iron, very sculptural candlestick.
I thought it was beautiful.
And they had a lot of gorgeous candlesticks here today.
But we gotta get back to the house
so I can show you this haul.
Okay, we are back home
and I'm excited to share with you my haul,
give you some closeups of these things that I got
and maybe style a few things.
I wanna start with
Classies. Classies is local to me.
I am in the upstate of South Carolina and I love to go there.
It's one of my favorite places to visit.
It's a hit or miss. Some days are better than others.
It's like a little tin trick-or-treat bag
with a jack-o'-lantern face cut out. Honestly it looks
Homemade. And I love it. I love how rusty crusty it looks.
There is a little spot in there for you
to put a candle. So I thought that would be fun
to decorate with and I could pop it in anywhere
and it would blend in perfectly with what I already have.
I also found this for the shop.
Now this is a West Bend copper mold and it is indeed vintage
and apparently rare and hard to find.
And I was so glad that I took like three
more extra trips around the store.
Not that anybody was out there putting stuff out,
but sometimes you miss things, you know?
And this was over there near the cups and the plates.
And I definitely wouldn't have grabbed it
if I didn't make that extra trip around.
I'm going to put this in my booth
because I love adding these special things, these
special items in there, and I'll have all
the information about my booth in the description
box below if you're curious or interested,
but I found this metal candle holder bow,
and we all know that Christmas bows have been in,
have been so in style for many, many,
many, many years, but more recently, people have been bow crazy.
Including me!
I love the bows for Christmas because it's
so cutesy and fun and nostalgic.
And I thought this was so cool.
I loved the gold
and I loved that it was in the shape of a bow with the legs being what
looked like the end of the ribbon.
It has a spot here for a wax pillar candle,
so I was excited to grab one of those as well.
And I picked up this to pair with this candle holder
and I want to sell it just like this so
somebody can come in and grab it
and put it right on their entryway table or somewhere in their home
and it be the perfect addition to their Christmas decor.
Okay now for Habitat for Humanity.
I always find the best deals when I go to Habitat for Humanity which is
so great when it comes to sourcing for your own booth.
I did not even see these.
When I had walked around at first,
how could I have missed this gorgeous milk glass vase?
I just love these and I'm so happy that I was able to grab them.
I did find this sign, which I thought was really, really fun.
It does not look vintage at all,
but you cannot pass up a really good Christmas sign.
Free sleigh rides just ahead.
One mile in the shape of a little arrow with a little twisty.
Hang her up at the top.
You could put this on an accordion rack in your home.
You could hang it on your front door.
There are so many options for this,
and I just think it's a fun thing to decorate with
for the Christmas season.
I got a lot of smalls.
Which is what I really wanted anyway for my booth,
just Christmas things that I could sprinkle in
throughout. I did end up getting these glass dishes.
I thought they were so precious. The
little snowman and the etched glass and then the Christmas tree.
You could display these many ways.
You could prop them up and just use them as decor.
You could use them as a candy dish. They could be
a little catch-all by your front door on your entryway table.
You could put them by your kitchen
You can sync for your...
Your sponges, or maybe to hold your rings when you're doing the dishes.
So many options, and so cute for Christmas.
I got these bells, these Santa Claus bells.
I got both of them.
I did not want to take one without the other.
I thought they were really adorable
and felt like 90s Christmas, which I was right.
They were made in the 1980s and 1990s.
This little angel was so cute to me holding the bells in her blue gown.
I loved her.
I thought she was really sweet
and I was imagining her inside of a cloche in a Christmas display.
She of course is vintage
and gives again those Christmas nostalgic feels.
I got these Christmas primitive snowmen.
I loved how...
Cute and quirky they were.
I like how you can pair them together like this. You could put them
inside of a cloche as well with a little bit of fake snow.
That would be really fun. If you have
a pie safe like me, this would
also be really cute to put in a pie safe on your kitchen counter.
I did get this too. This is obviously a Christmas ornament,
but I was just thinking of so many
So many different crafts you could do and add this to.
It's one of those things that you could keep
in your stash and pull out if you wanted
to add a fun pop of Christmas to something.
So that's what I was thinking about for the booth.
I was like, you know what I could do is I could take
this with me and if there's something
there that I need to add Christmas to,
I could just add this wreath and it would be perfect.
And the last thing that I got was this ceramic lamp post candle holder.
Of course, this goes with a display of miniature figurines
and things like that.
But I just thought how cute this would be styled
on a shelf with a couple of Christmas items.
Even pairing it with one of those Santa clauses
and a really pretty Christmas arrangement.
You can't go wrong.
Well, that's going to do it for my thrift and style video today.
