NEPAL TRAVEL DOCUMENTARY | From the Jungle to the Himalayan Peaks

Nepal is a country of extremes: the highest mountains in the world, tropical jungles, ancient traditions and chaotic streets. After four and a half years travelling around the world, we thought we knew what to expect. But for Mathilde, this journey is personal. She grew up in Nepal in the early 2000s, and 22 years later, she's returning to find her childhood home and her Nepali sister, Maya.

We cross from Tibet into Nepal, experience the spectacular Bisket Jatra New Year celebrations, reunite with old friends and explore the jungles of Chitwan. Then Mathilde sets off alone for 15 days trekking through the remote valleys of Manaslu, climbing towards the 5,000-metre Larke Pass with our incredible guide, Buddhi.

Months after we leave, a devastating disaster strikes a village where we spent time with local children. We dedicate this film to them and to everyone whose life was changed that day.
