Mobile Caviar

Welcome back. You're in for a treat. And Julie, I think we're in for one, too. Caviar is getting a new and fun twist, and we're getting a taste of it right here in our studio. Yes, Kelly, owner of Caviar to You and caviar stylist Beverly is here to join us to show us their unique caviar belt and how to walk us through a live tasting. Thank you both for being here. You know, a lot of people think caviar, and first off, they think it's bougie and expensive. They do. It is bougie, right? But it's like, what do you put it on? How do you eat it? How do you really enjoy it to really maximize the flavor? So let's first off start with Caviar to You, how you came up with that concept and what it's all about. Yeah, so caviar to you basically got started because my husband and I had a love for caviar, going out and enjoying dinner and drinks and all that good stuff, and basically wanted to find a fun way to just kind of bring it and bring a tasting, interactive, and kind of just a different way to do it. Had a party with some local friends and neighbors and went down this rabbit hole of a caviar belt, and here we are. Yeah, and they recognize, wow, there are so many other ways. Because I always say, if you don't have it right the first way, it kind of messes up everything moving forward. You don't know until you know. And a lot of people just don't really understand caviar. A lot of people, oh, it tastes like fish. No, it really should not. It's supposed to be creamy and buttery and nutty and very light on the palate. Not supposed to be that briny over fishness, you know? Whenever I worked in restaurants, I said, if it smells like fish, it's not right. Fish should not smell like fish before you cook it. That's what it's like left over and it's been sitting out for way too long. I don't want to get sick. Caviar, it does have, and also we talked about what you put it on. Correct, the accoutrements. So the belt only has so much space, so we do an Italian potato chip, a petite toast, of course a creme fraiche, and we add a little bit of spray gold glitter and chives. Of course. Let's move around to the front of the table so our viewers can see your caviar belt, and I guess we can get our tasting on. Sure. You kind of walk us through how it would normally work. So we're going to do a toaster chip. And then face, yeah, this way. Toaster chip for you. Oh, my gosh. I'm going to do a chip. Okay, chip. All right. So we do a potato chip first. Okay. So I got a brand-new belt, too. So you guys are getting the brand-new belt. A little bit of creme fraiche here. How did you come up with the belt idea? So basically, they have the belt out in L.A., kind of Texas, New York. But no one in D.C. or an area had it. So I basically was able to find a local person, not local, but Texas person to do it. Oh, we're doing the gold. Sorry, I forgot. A little bit of fun. You got to make a bling bling. Yes, bling bling. There we go. Super fun, right? How about you? I'd like a chip as well, but do you want to do the other one for the sake of showing us what it looks like? Oh, it's totally up to you. Okay. We'll do you a chip. You want a chip. Yeah. Okay. It's okay. And sometimes you can do, you know, the fists as well and put it over. Yeah. So you're eating that way without them. We also do the caviar bumps, which are super fun. They're a fun way to kind of just taste the caviar directly. And, of course, as everyone knows, there's different tiered caviar. So having the different types of caviar and being able to taste it directly is super fun. And you get to learn about it while we're doing the event. So I have a question about the caviar. You talk about different kinds. Is there a certain fish or region that caviar comes from that's best? So it's all over. Iran is probably the most popular most people hear about caviar. We do the caviar company. They're a wholesaler out of San Francisco. So we get it all over from China, Italy, the U.S. So it's all over the place. Okay, I'm standing here with the patience of Jill because I was waiting on Julie to get her so we can try. And she has it freshly shipped overnight. It's a special chip for each event. For each event. And the chip is so important. This is an Italian potato chip. I've tried multiple different chips, and this seems to be the best one. It holds the caviar perfect. It holds the taste perfect. It's not too salty. Pringles are a huge hit, too. That's the new thing. What was the sauce that you added in? Creme fraiche. Okay. And I've also seen them doing, like, a little pancake. Yep. So the blini is, yep. I'm not a fan of blini. I feel like it gets a little too soft, especially if you do in the warmer months. And then for anyone that loves caviar, there's a lot of accoutrements. So typically egg whites, egg yolks, shallots. Yeah, so you put it all on there. And I have no more space. You can do it on chicken nuggets, too. I've seen it on chicken nuggets and, like, you know, like a, yes. Yeah, Rihanna started the chicken nuggets. Even on Doritos, it went viral. Yep, yep, yep. There's so many great ways to do it. So just have fun with it. Potato anything is super fun with caviar, too. And this is interactive, not on a table, so it makes it a lot more fun and personal.
