Found nothing working at all. Found no 24V to thermostat. Ended up being multiple broken wires. I was able to find one to use. Then the blower wasn’t working, and I was getting rained on. Got it done though. #hvac #hvaclife #lowvoltage #motors
this job is well there's
a elderly woman in here
and it's 84 degrees inside
they got it set to cool
and right now right now
nothing's happening
first
let's
make
sure
we got
power
because
we may
not 27
volts
so we
got
power
we got
low
voltage
something i saw
on the thermostat
was low battery but
what that 24 volts
if you're sweaty
and
get
you
all
right
i'm
gonna
check
between
red i
got no
call
on
anything
so
let's
go
into
the thermostat
no voltage i'll
try to i'll try
to swap wires
on this and see
if we can't get it
going
splicing
the wire
between
here
and there
they don't
connect all
the wires
so it's hit or
miss
whether
or not this
is gonna
work red
to black
light for
you sir or
anything
pretty
good
no sir
i got
it
Thank
you
there's
a dog
in
there
it's
okay
i'm not
gonna
hurt
you
it's
okay
this is
just how
i wanted
to
finish
my
Friday
coming
down
here
knowing
that if i
find
something
it's
going
to
require
another
trip
return
over
there
so
that's
where
i'll
start i
don't
know
if y'all can see that here's
my thermostat wire we just got
to follow that and see if we find
anything
i
ain't
got no
knee
pads
look
at
this
supply
at
least
you
hope
not I
seal
tight
I
didn't
see
nothing
wrong
with that
thermostat
where if I
can't test
it, it's
one solid
wire
though it
doesn't
seem
like
it's
spliced
anywhere.
New thermostat wire right now might
be my only option.
Sometimes when they build these houses,
they staple that thermostat wire
to the two by fours in there.
So sometimes pulling
the new wire
is
easier
said
than
done.
24
volts
on
my
through,
so
we're
gonna
try
it.
We're about to find out if there's any more damage.
You have your own.
You're
prepared,
aren't
you?
I think you got more problems.
it
can
uh
blow
her
we
got
24
volts
let's
check
it
and
see
this
this
has
been
a
hell
of
a
job
not
perfect
but I
think
it's
close
enough
so
they're
on
the
top
gonna
get a
module
called it in, y'all can't see them right now
but we got some really dark clouds headed
this way
and
season
and
thunderstorms
can
get
bad
in
a
hurry
one
thing
you
might
notice
these are a different size so this is my speed
selector and i got common that's gonna be brown
i can't reach it
this is line
this is l that's one
of my powers next is
g that's ground and
next is n that's going to be my orange
so these are my two power wires this is ground and this
is 24 volts common this is my signal you're supposed
to have 24 volts between here and here
so when i
turn this
on hopefully
this will
come
on right all
right i have
to look at the
Oh, no, I was just...
It
tells
me
the
pressure.
A lot better.
You'll see.
Getting done just
in time, Marlon.
Good
call.
Now, auto adjust for the blower.
See this weather.
Tornado weather over there.
That's what I was racing against, trying to get that job done.
Well, guys, that's the end of that one.
I'm on my way home.
Watching.
