And Jay-Z taking us into our weather today, taking a look at the
National Capital Wheel at the National Harbor or the Capital Wheel.
Okay, Taylor, it was rumored, it was speculated, like, why not?
He's, you know, I mean, he's been producing
and picking the artists for a couple of years now.
Like, why not just let himself be the headliner?
That makes sense.
I didn't realize, so I didn't understand
why he announced that he was doing it.
I didn't know he had so much involvement in everything.
Commissioner Roger Goodell in the NFL went together
and said we gotta like you know amp up
this yeah broad and Roc Nation to be able to try
and you know get the halftime show together and so
that's over the past few years that's
who's he's been picking but gotcha Jay-Z now says it's gonna
be me yeah no i'm excited it's gonna be good i mean
if only it was in New York right uh we all
fit together but uh yes SoFi Stadium is gonna
be incredible uh gonna be a nice day here locally if
you're heading out and about it is chilly
to start out we're in the mid 40s with the temperatures at
Dulles Airport, 53 right now at Reagan.
Again, cool to start out.
It's the same thing we've been dealing
with each and every morning this week.
We're in that season, of course.
Nice sunrise and sunset again for today.
Plenty of sunshine.
I do think it's going to be a fantastic day for outdoor plants.
Tomorrow we are going to see some more cloud
coverage actually finally roll back in.
So enjoy the sunshine today.
We'll warm into the mid-60s around noon, upper 60s by 5 p.m.
Julie?
Okay, let's take a look at your roads
for your morning commute in the Outer Loop and Forestville.
We have some construction that's going
on between Maryland 4 and Maryland 214.
So traffic is getting by in the right lane only at this hour
because there's not too much traffic.
It's only some minor delays
and hopefully soon we'll be clearing that up.
Well, it was quite the same last night.
Downtown D.C. would appear to be a broken water main sent
a guy shooting into the air.
This was at Pennsylvania Avenue
and 25th Street Northwest in the city's Foggy Bottom neighborhood.
No word yet what caused the break
or how long it's going to take to repair it.
Fairfax County police are investigating a double shooting in Herndon.
Officers found two men in an apartment building
on Astoria Circle last night.
Police say this was a domestic-related shooting
and that the suspect is known to one of the victims.
Both men suffered non-life-threatening injuries,
and so far there's been no arrests.
A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after she
was hit in a parking lot in Fairfax County.
It happened yesterday along Braddock Road near Kings Park West.
The driver of the vehicle that hit
her remained on scene and nobody was hurt.
Well, all Manassas Park schools will reopen today.
This is after police say a loaded
handgun shut down the schools yesterday.
Officials say an employee spotted
the weapon lying between two school vans.
A high school teacher, Veronica Gutre, is now facing firearm charges.
It's unclear why she allegedly brought the weapon on school grounds.
She has been placed on leave.
A Rockville man is facing first-degree
murder yesterday stabbing in Wheaton.
Police say 31-year-old Elder Blanco Zapata
attacked 25-year-old David Estrada Fuentes
during an argument behind an H Mart on George Avenue.
The victim died at the hospital.
Blanco Zapata is behind bars awaiting a bond hearing.
Over in the district, the search continues for a third suspect
wanted in connection to the deadly shootings
of two young boys in Northeast.
14-year-old Tail Coats and 12-year-old Milo Young
were killed in the shooting back in April on Kilnworth Avenue.
Investigators say the shooting stemmed
from a beef between two neighborhoods.
Two other suspects, Antonio Terry and Markel Woodings,
are charged with first-degree murder.
Montgomery County Board of Education held a public hearing last night
to discuss distributing funds for some much-needed school repairs.
This comes as local leaders question
the district's spending priorities.
They're working to determine which aging schools get fixed
and which projects will have to wait.
We spoke with one Rockville City Council member
who says the district's plans are raising some serious questions.
Of the five worst elementary schools and the five worst secondary
schools, 70% of them are from the Rockville and Gaithersburg region.
And yet, in this amendment for the CIP, none
of those top seven schools are going to have a rebuild or renovation.
Our high school has been promised to us for years.
In 2016, they said we were getting a new high school.
Then it was supposed to be done in 2027. Then it was 2029.
And it was completely taken off the CIP.
The district is taking another public testimony tonight
in a virtual meeting.
Now, the school board is expected to make decisions
on the capital budget and construction plan November 19th.
Former FBI Director James Comey is responding
to the Justice Department targeting him for a third time under
the Trump, second Trump administration.
Unsealed court papers reveal charges over
allegedly disclosed classified secrets.
Comey's lawyers are already pushing back,
arguing the case is flawed because prosecutors
bypassed a grand jury to bring the charges directly.
Well, they're back again.
It would almost be funny if it weren't such
an appalling abuse of the Department of Justice,
one that we cannot become numb to.
Nothing's changed with me.
I'm still innocent.
I'm still not afraid of these people
and I still believe in the independent federal judiciary.
And I'm still lucky to have an amazing family
and an incredible group of lawyers and will
stand up in court and fight the latest
and whatever comes after this. The next couple
years are gonna be hard for all of us.
It's really important that we stand straight and
keep the faith in America. Comey has been a vocal critic of President
Trump since firing him back in 2017.
It is 4-11 and it's not even November, but
hospitalizations and ER visits due to the flu are on the rise.
We're gonna have details ahead.
And a Fox Five exclusive, we're hearing from the grandmother
of baby boy that was allegedly killed by his own father,
how she is coping with the loss.
