Big Announcement for Cal Basketball

I wouldn't say Cal is the favorite to land Luis Uvuo, but they're certainly in contention. It looks like the three top teams, Kentucky, Baylor, and Cal, are all pretty much the same as far as their chances of landing the number one center prospect in the country, Luis Uvuo. He visited Cal during UCLA football weekend. Cal lost that game, but they had a big crowd, so maybe that impressed them. I don't know. This guy seems like a pretty assured guy. He's pretty raw. He's only been playing organized basketball for three years. Already a really great defensive player. He has really good athletic skills, which you can see on the offensive side. Hasn't really developed an offensive game yet, but a lot of schools are really impressed with him. Cal, along with Kentucky, Baylor, and Providence are the four finalists for him. He's scheduled to announce his choice on Wednesday on some streaming avenue. We'll just see. He's 6'10", 225 pounds, really athletic, really high energy guy, very highly rated. Number six overall prospect in the class, according to ESPN.
