North Carolina State Answer No. 4

Number four, Wolfpack quarterback C.J. Bailey is the NC State star.
How would you assess how he's played this season?
So Bailey has played well at times,
and there are certainly outliers to where he didn't
bring his best in certain games,
but he has been a steady presence for the Wolfpack, and
as a returning captain, this team really looks
to him for his leadership, so there are some
things that he can do outside of this plane
that really has an impact on this team.
I will say that the turnovers have been concerning,
but we've seen C.J. Bailey perform at a high
level this season against Louisville.
Bailey set a career high in passing with 373 yards.
If he brings that effort each time out,
NC State will be unbeatable, but the issues
with the offensive line have been apparent,
and against Stanford, Bailey had his worst
completion percentage of the season.
He completed around 56.7% of his passes,
and he was sacked numerous times in that game,
and I don't think Stanford is a world-beater by any sense of the word,
but the injuries,
I think, certainly hurt NC State's chances,
at least on offense, and I think without that
That continuity on the line.
NC State just struggled in that game.
But C.J. Bailey overall, I think, has played well.
But there are certainly areas
of opportunities where he could play even better.
