“They're two very different sets of intelligence reports. I have them both, but they're very different.” Now, former National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent is raising serious questions about the intelligence reaching the White House, alleging that information from Israel was presented as U.S. intelligence in the lead-up to the Iran war. “Intelligence community reform is long overdue,” Kent warned, calling for stronger oversight of the CIA and other intelligence agencies. LindellTV's Heather Mullins asks the question: If the president is receiving contradictory intelligence, WHO CAN HE TRUST?

President Trump recently admitted to receiving contradictory intelligence reports regarding Iran, sparking a discussion on the reliability of the U.S. intelligence community. This discrepancy supports claims made by former National Counterterrorism Director Joe Kent regarding the need for systemic reform and the importance of an empowered Director of National Intelligence (DNI).
President Trump was asked a question recently about
the situation in Iran, and he actually
admitted that he's getting two very different sets
of intelligence on the situation.
Take a listen.
on Iran.
Did that strike you as very different
from what you read on Iran before?
There are two very different sets of intelligence reports.
I have them both, but they're very different.
I mean, that's a huge data point
for the commander-in-chief of the United
States military to essentially say.
He's getting intelligence of two entirely different scenarios.
So you have to ask
yourself, if you're president, what do you do in that situation?
Someone is clearly giving you
bad intelligence because if they're contradicting,
if they're totally opposite.
Then they can't possibly both be honest, right?
Somebody has to be lying and giving the president bad intelligence.
And this is exactly what
the former National Counterterrorism Director Joe Kent said to
the president in his resignation,
probably a little less than a year ago.
But he resigned essentially saying that the Israelis,
this was his accusation, were giving
the president bad intelligence.
And that there was a problem with the intelligence channels.
And so he resigned.
And I wanna go ahead and put up this tweet that he shared in response
to that video of the president.
He said, intelligence community reform is long overdue.
President Trump set out to get it done
at the beginning of his second term.
But it seems those efforts have been abandoned.
The American people deserve a strong DNI who
is empowered by POTUS to provide legitimate oversight
of the intelligence community.
It's why the role was established
in the first place after the abject failures of 9-11,
appointing Tulsi Gabbard as DNI was a shot across
the bow that kicked the intelligence
community's machine into overdrive,
subverting and resisting any attempts for positive change
every step of the way.
Maybe POTUS got tired of the fight.
The DNI is meant to serve as the final check on any intelligence
coming from intelligence community elements like the CIA,
NSA, Department of War to ensure the intel
is presented to POTUS in its proper context.
For example, did we get this intel from a
partner nation? How did they collect it?
Why are they sharing it with us and why now?
In the lead up to the Iran war intelligence
was consistently presented to POTUS as
quote our intelligence
when in fact it came from the Israelis. This is why DNI
Gabbard's public testimony was at times different than
the CIA directors. She testified to the US
Congress the consensus of the US intelligence agencies
not a foreign nations.
Real Intelligence Committee reform cannot happen without
an empowered DNI who is able to exercise
the full scope of the role.
The CIA is too proficient at handling the president's appointed
directors. It's easy to get distracted once you're caught up
in the thrill of espionage
and covert operations. Conversely,
the DNI has the slightly more removed vantage point to assess
operations and intelligence without being part of the operations.
Without a DNI looking into all covert action
and special access programs to access whether they're aligned,
these programs will continue to operate in the shadows, out of sight
from POTUS, the public, and even most of the intelligence community,
all the while undermining the president's agenda.
So this is pretty...
Pretty powerful stuff here when you now have President Trump himself
saying he's getting two totally different sets of intelligence.
It actually adds some credibility
to what Joe Kent has been saying all along.
And this has to be something that we start to address
and we have to start asking the tough questions.
