Do you like to be scared? How about with a little history thrown in?
Well, I'm in the dining car aboard the Newfie Bullet in Corner Brook,
where the members of the Graham Academy have transformed
this into the ghost train,
offering haunted experiences.
Engine 666, straight out of the Foggy Barrens
and now here at Humbermouth Station.
The fog came up off the gulf thick enough to carve with a sheath knife
An old six-six-six hit that stretch with the whistle-streaming,
full of mail, miners, young sweethearts, sleeping children,
even the recently departed in the baggage car.
A long time ago, back in the 40s, disappeared, basically.
And now it's finally reappeared in the 21st century.
And there are ghosts trapped on the train, basically,
who kind of disappeared with this train.
And now the people coming through have
to go through their kind of domain
and see what's happening and what the ghosts are up to, really.
So you get to walk down along the outside of the train
and there may be some ghouls
and ghosts that are attempting to reach you,
but once you board, then you're well within reach.
And it'll guide all the way through to actually this baggage car
is the finale of the show, of the experience.
Historically, bodies actually were transported in here,
so it is a space that there, you know, it was not unheard of
that there were corpses that were brought across in this very
car so it's a bit eerie so i'm just
kind of in a little chair hiding away spooking people
that don't even know i'm there it's
completely pitch black at all
and then as you kind of walk through we have the light set up so the
chair actually lights up nothing else around it
and we're gonna have like a little speaker or
something just kind of saying like what the ghosts are saying
and saying like they're sitting in this
chair and it'll be real cute
so we'll have some different people interacting with everyone
throughout the train as you go
so it should kind of give more of an eerie spooky creepy vibe as you
go through the train more of just like jump scares
i hurry i go pretty fast when i'm locking up this
train uh the staff do say that the the dining
car chairs tend to move so that car tends to have its
own you know but i think that makes sense people lived
the life on this railway so i hope if there
are uh spirits around that they enjoy what we're doing
with this fictional story if you dare the
ghost train the haunted train experience
is available to the public on thursday and friday
evening with a sensory friendly time
on saturday Colleen Connor's CBC News Corner Brook
