Amazing birds come down from way far north and this is, it's kind
of like a like, oh it's winter now, like the first time I see them,
hear them, usually I'll hear them, we'll be walking at night
and I'll hear them, and then if you look up at night you can kind
of see the white of their wings just a little bit, but the first,
like I hear them I'll be like, oh winter is coming.
I mean...
And so that's, then I know, I don't know,
then I know they're here and then I want to come see
them because they're just, they're really cool.
Like they move as a flock in this really weird
way. They have little teeth on their beaks,
which is crazy looking. They look kind of like
scary up close, but they're like really charismatic and duck-like from
far away.
And I mean, I've lived
here for 30 years
with some breaks
in between, but yeah.
And I don't know, they're just like,
they're part of this place and it would be like really
weird if they didn't come back.
And it's really,
it's sort of reassuring
that they still do. Like,
I mean, it's kind of, you can hear them on there, right?
Like, it's kind of, they kind of are,
like, squeaking and calling to each other.
I think it kind of sounds like a party.
Like, you go into kind of, like,
a bar where a lot is happening, and everybody's talking
to each other, and it kind of feels like, oh,
I'm just going into, like, I'm going into
this group.
This thing, like, something's happening.
People are talking to each other.
It's kind of like that, only in goose language, I guess.
