To Texas campaigning for Ken Paxton who is the
best according to just about everybody,
the best attorney general in the history
of the
United
state of Texas. That's a big statement, but that's a true statement, and he's
one of the best in the country. He deserves to win this race.
So we'll be doing two stops and they're big stops and the crowds I hear
are tremendous. We look forward to it. We just had a consumer conf
idence report just came out. It's up at a record number.
A record increase, 7.5 percent, just came out, Steve.
So that's a great number.
You don't see that happen very often, not to that extent.
So I'll see you on the plane, and we're going to have a great trip.
The crowds are overwhelming.
They've been out for three days, and they're overwhelming.
So they like somebody.
I hope it's Ken.
But Ken Paxton deserves to be the next senator.
The other guy, he does not stand for Texas values.
Nothing.
Nothing.
From get rid of the oil, get rid of the guns, and
get rid of the meat.
Between the three things, it's ridiculous.
Yeah.
The Press: Are you going to visit this tanker
that's got Venezuelan oil on it?
Is that important to you?
The President Trumpson, Yeah.
We took over Venezuela very successfully, and
they've sent me, as a gift, a boatload of a
million barrels of oil, and I'm giving that to
the United States of America.
And Rubio is going to be with you?
I think so, yes.
The Press: Corpus?
Corpus, I believe.
The Press Corpus?
I believe.
The Press Corpus?
We're going to do it.
I think it's a third stop, basically.
The Press Okay.
The President We're going to accept a million
barrels of oil, and I'm going to give it to you
people to use it the way you want.
And we're going to have oil prices that are going
to be dropping very sharply very soon.
Thank you.
The Press Mr. President, if you do not prevail in
this election, despite having worked as hard as
you have, how do you intend to work with
with Democrats if they have control of the House
or the Senate?
The President.: We'll figure it out.
Look, I have strong veto.
I hope that that won't be the case.
But if it is, that's happened before with many
Presidents, and you have strong veto, and you end
up working out deals.
The Press.: And you'll respect the results,
whatever happens?
The President: I will, if they're honest elections,
yes.
Thank you.
The Press.: Mr. President, earlier this month,
you said you were worried about Texas.
Are you still worried about the Senate race?
The President.: I think it's going to be good.
You never know.
It's politics, but you never know.
But I think it's going to do very well.
The Press: Team Puerto Rico is hosting an event
night in Lubbock, same time as you're going
to be there tonight. What do you make of that?
SECRETARY KERRY, You know, they've been lined up for three days.
You've seen the
crowds. Nobody's ever seen anything like it.
So this is like it was for the regular election.
You know, a midterm is usually not that exciting.
This has become very exciting,
and the crowds are incredible.
Last night in Mississippi, we had 20,000 people waiting outside.
I couldn't get in. The place was incredible. Thank you very much.
