Still no clear winner in Israel, with both sides claiming victory.
Final results could come as early as today, two days after the vote.
Both Netanyahu and Gadi Eisenkot's bloc are unlikely
to have the 61 seats needed to form a government.
The role Arab parties could play remains
a big question after historic turnout on Tuesday.
For more on this story, here's Clovis Casale reporting from Jerusalem.
Winner here in Israel's election, but both sides are claiming victory
and believe they can get their man into the top job as prime minister.
Benjamin Netanyahu, who's the man in charge for the time being,
well, he says that he can form a strong right-wing government.
And he's even given reassurance
to his far-right partners and ministers,
Smotrich, Ben-Gvir, telling them, I won't abandon you.
Benjamin Netanyahu
also warning the nation that Arab parties, according to him,
are trying to steal the election.
Police has replied, police authorities saying there's
no evidence to support that claim by Benjamin Netanyahu.
Meanwhile, you have Gadi Eisenkot, who's the leader of the opposition,
the main contender, a centre-right figure,
who has said he is ready to form a Zionist government.
He wants all the partners to recognise that Israel is a Jewish state.
So we are in a situation of political stalemate for the time being,
with ongoing negotiations set to take place in the coming days,
possibly the coming weeks.
