Good morning, everybody.
Good morning, and what a good morning it is.
We're all waking up in a good mood today for a very good reason.
We are decked out in our Brewer's finest.
I tried to grow a giant handlebar yellow
mustache overnight, but it did not work.
Interesting. I would have thought.
No shave November is what, on Sunday?
That's a good point.
There you go.
There might be a lot of Bernie Brewer
mustaches out there in a few weeks.
All right, let's take a look at our day today.
It is beautiful this morning. Everybody's in a spectacular mood.
It's 61 degrees right now in Milwaukee and Waukesha.
We have 60 as we check in with Kenosha.
We had some rain overnight. That has dried up.
We're going to continue to clear up.
Should be a great day for the kiddos at school today.
Focus levels, not so great.
Sorry about that, teachers, but also not sorry.
We should be in the mid to upper 60s for the day today.
And then looking ahead to parade day.
Looks amazing.
We'll get into this in more detail in just a few minutes.
All right, Rob, thank you so much.
Taking a very quick check now at your roads.
Things are looking, you know,
a little bit congested out there this morning.
But the good news is that there's no crashes to report.
So we'd love to see that.
Everybody's having a safe drive in this morning,
even though it might be a little bit slow in some areas.
Let's take a look now at your drive times.
94 headed east is really your slow spot this morning.
But we are seeing some delays on 43 headed north.
Late into downtown will take you 12 minutes,
21 minutes to go from Moreland to downtown.
Wherever you are headed this morning, please drive safe.
2-1 pitch. Palacios. Grounds one softly.
Man, what a time to be a Brewers fan.
The Brewers, for the first time in franchise history,
are World Series champions.
The crew ended the World Series
in Game 5 last night with a final score of 4-1.
You'll love to see it.
Yes, and the party in Milwaukee, it's really just getting started.
Erica Williams and Donovan Long are live outside AmFam Field,
the home of your 2026 World Series champions.
Good morning, guys.
Yeah, it feels so good to say that.
It feels good.
Oh, my gosh.
And I feel like now that the sun is up
and we can see what's happening around us,
it just makes it that much more real
that this behind us, this belongs to us,
this community, and it's the home of now the World Series champs.
sorry we were talking about last week how we saw them unfurl
that banner right there we were saying
we hope in a week or so we're gonna
be the champions they're gonna make another one uh that
and then some right i think they have really brought
this home not only for the ball club but
for all of the fans here the generations
who have been waiting decades for the brewers to bring this
home you're so right about 57 years
that the city has seen something like this yes and the first for
the brewers franchise it
is so meaningful you know 31 000 folks filled this ballpark behind us
sold out of course for the watch party and it's just
so cool to see their reactions as well as
the reactions from people from other watch parties erupting
in joy erupting with just
adoration for the crew it's been amazing to see
that even the crew to see their run their world
series run so i'm sure they were locked in obviously
when they were down there but i'm
interested for them to kind of come home
and get the love that we have been sharing amongst each
other as a community uh this was was packed here at AmFam Field
but watch parties all across the
even down in Florida I feel like Brewers
Nation has really taken over and it was
also nice seeing them kind of pop bottles
with their families names on it
and then that's also just them knowing
who stood behind them who helped them
make that sacrifice I just love the people
who they are too in addition to
being the players they are. You're
so right especially the family element you mentioned
speaking of William William Contreras his brother
who's also a player for the
Red Sox was there surprised him
on the ballparks at the ballpark in the field
Tropicana Field and just to see them embrace,
cry together, share that huge moment together,
it just goes to show that like William didn't get here alone.
He had a whole army of people behind
him, you know. It's been a long journey obviously in their careers,
an amazing push in this post
season, but for us fans it's been a long week.
You know it's been a really good week, but throughout
it all we're still showing up.
Yesterday people flooded into the streets, they also flooded into
stores trying to get merch um everybody is just proud
to show their gear especially uh one girl
right here who had something to say about
her fits yeah i've watched every single world series game
i'd like i've worn this jersey every single
day since we started playing it like
oh my god you're here with your family
the brewers just won the world series what was your first
reaction when you were in the stadium oh my god i just like jumped up
and i i didn't i honestly
i was like i didn't really i was like oh my gosh
this does not just happen and then i jumped up and
i hugged everybody and i immediately saw i cried
and she's not the only one who was so overcome
with emotion i mean it's an overwhelming moment for young
and old and it's just really nice to
see people reflect some people were crying sam kramer
our colleague was crying because the crew
has been through so much to get here that's right
and we were even waking up from texts from family
members who don't even look for like congratulations
so this is something obviously that we are
celebrating today decades and even years
to come well worth it too well worth the wait back to you
guys in the studio, Nicklin Haley, oh well worth
the wait for real, Donovan, I love your point there
about Wilson and William Contreras, the brothers
and how poetic they now are both World Series
champions exactly 10 years apart, what
a lucky family there, yes it's huge, it's so insane to
think about for them. Oh yeah, we know too, it really takes
a village, right? So you think about
their parents you know the people
who are driving them to all those practices all the games all the
things, so I'm sure a big congratulations for the Contreras family.
Okay so now let's go to the
place that has been dubbed Milwaukee South.
How does that sound? I love the sound of that. Our
Ashley Sears got to celebrate the historic win
with some Brewers fans in St. Petersburg last
night and now the party is at the beach, is that right Ash?
Yeah we're hanging out here on the
beach, the Brewers fans are just waking up, uh
and the celebration continues, waking up, oh well who
are you? They didn't go to bed, good morning, good
morning, yeah Ted, you said uh have you slept yet
not really, no, I mean I tried for like an hour
but no, I just couldn't, we we got back here we
celebrated a little bit and then we all have flights to catch
so it's it's just a beautiful
morning, I just kind of wanted to soak it
so I promised myself I would get in the ocean, so I
walked to the ocean and put my feet in and then said
that's good enough, it's cold, it's like Lake
Michigan cold, I didn't think the ocean was cold
but here we are, Ted, you've been a part of so many
big events uh at Fox Six in Milwaukee, where does this measure up
and what kind of emotions were
you feeling last night when this happened, I've
been trying to separate my emotions because we're
here to cover it and I'm also a fan
as you know i think it's going to take a couple days to think
and maybe the parade tomorrow like we're here
and being in the stadium last night was remarkable
the fans that were still in there there were some
in San Diego there were more in Los Angeles
but last night it was like a full house still
and that is the moment i'm going to remember
but then i look at parties from the Deer District
and Fiserv and Morans in South Milwaukee and i
I was watching all that video.
I couldn't sleep.
I'm going back and looking at our Fox 6 Now page,
and it's just so remarkable.
It hasn't sunk in for me yet as a fan
because I've been here on the job.
But I think the parade tomorrow is going
to be pretty emotional, actually.
Yeah, it was an emotional night for so many people.
We talked to some fans at Ferg's.
That's the bar down here that Brewers fans have taken over.
And we spoke with a woman who was in tears and said
her mother had passed but was still with her at yesterday's
game take a listen my dad my brother
months ago okay but she was here with us i've
been waiting i can't even explain it i really felt
from a month ago it was going to be brewers
and five um and it wasn't going to happen unless my
dad and i were in the stadium together
and if that happened in one of the later World Series games
because that's when it was going to happen.
Just such a memorable night.
Fans so excited to celebrate at that parade tomorrow.
Fans here are getting ready to get on the planes
so that they too can be a part of that celebration.
We'll send it back to you guys.
Man, I bet that coffee just tastes...
Go Brewers!
I bet that coffee tastes even better on the beach too.
I'm sure.
And she's earned many, many a coffee.
They're running off of like no sleep.
It's so impressive.
I think that should be...
We're calling it team coverage.
I'm going to call it team no sleep today.
Yes, absolutely.
good reason you know we'll never get that night back
and we'll remember those memories forever
for sure okay coming up on wake up we're going
to be diving into some fan reactions to the big
win last night we know that there were so many reactions
that were pouring in as well as taking
a look at some of the sweet new Brewers World Series merch
that you can buy today that's right
and we're taking a live look here
at Mitchell International Airport we know some of these
Brewers fans hopping on flights to come back to Milwaukee
and eventually so will your 2026 World
Series champs the players we're
on plane watch today you guys oh six wake up news Milwaukee's
most trusted morning news show well Wisconsin we
are waking up this morning buzzing as the reality
sets in the Brewers we are World Series champions
and I we got to get used to saying that because
it sounds so good our Andrew Muzio is joining us now live
as everybody is sharing their excitement
this morning Andrew I don't know about you
but the first thing I did when I rolled over out of bed
was went on my phone and was watching everybody's stories reading
the post because it was just fun
to kind of live this through other fans too
and kind of get their perspective it really has been
a joy and honestly from the different angles
that we've spoken about whether it's watch parties or
different stories that we've been able
to feature shout out Samson I mean there's so many different
angles that we've been able to cover on this run
and so it's been so cool something else that we've
The scene, of course, is the fashion, too.
So I like the blue and the gold that you guys
are sporting right there at the desk.
I got my tie here because when you win 4-1,
they call it a gentleman's sweep.
So technically, they still swept them, right?
A gentleman's sweep.
That's what we'll say now.
And I got my hat here, the division champs,
which I do feel is now a thing of the past
because they are more than just division champs.
They are World Series champs, as you guys mentioned.
So a lot of excitement we're seeing in person,
whether it's in Florida, Wisconsin, coast-to-coast,
but also in the world of social media, too.
Starting off with some Wisconsin royalty here.
Shout out J.J. Watt, who he is some,
or actually, we'll get to that later.
You're seeing a video right now, actually, from Father Edward Looney.
He's a Catholic priest and Milwaukee Brewers fan.
We've had him on our show before,
praying for the Brewers and their success and their guidance
as they complete this iconic run.
You're seeing that right there on the plane.
Let's take a listen into his footage that he recorded right
on the plane as he was heading back to Wisconsin.
And actually,
just listening to that now,
did someone just say, I hope
the Packers are following them
or I hope the Packers are to follow?
That's very interesting.
I mean, Wisconsin is only the third state in the United States
to have three teams win in the MLB, NBA and NFL since 2010.
Here you see that tweet from J.J. Watt, Wisconsin native,
World Series champions, Milwaukee Brewers.
He actually had a number of tweets throughout the night.
So definitely cheering on his home state team here.
Moving on to the next one,
Governor Tony Evers joining in on the fun as well.
So we have a whole lot of tweets as well.
There you see it right there.
He is jazzed up.
I've never even heard him say that.
That'd be really interesting to hear him say that too.
And last but not least, Hall of Famer CC Sabathia,
who is just a Brewers icon,
just a well-deserved for Pat Murphy and the entire Brewers team.
I think I would agree with CC Sabathia.
A lot of social media posts we'll get into later on this morning, guys.
Yeah, Andrew, I think that this became
a thing probably before you came to this market.
But I feel like jazzed
as hell has become Governor Tony Evers' tagline as governor.
I mean, jazzed? We've got to bring jazzed back.
We are jazzed. Absolutely.
like jazz hands yes governor evers
is making it cool again reminds me of like mean girls he's
making fetch happen he's doing it he's doing it
all right thanks andrew we'll check back in with
you shortly and of course keeping things close
to home we are checking back in with donovan and
derica who are out at AmFam Field i can't get enough
of these reactions you guys are you guys
jazzed I think we're happy as hell jazzed
as hell hyped up as hell keep on going that's right I
think there was all a sense we had to obviously sleep last night
but when you woke up the first
thing we did was look at social media look
at thoughts it's like we won we did it you know um
and that's just the sense that we're feeling all over
from fans here uh even in St. Petersburg but
it's also just nice being at AmFam Field where we know it
was rocking last night now we're talking
Come on, 31,000 people probably going crazy after that last out.
I mean, nothing gets better than seeing
your team reach the largest stage in baseball.
Yes, and we're going to get to see them
on a different stage come tomorrow with the parade, with the rally.
So I feel like the party's just getting started, guys.
It happens.
Woo!
We're so excited.
It looks like it's going to be such a good time.
Guys, we've got to do a line check here soon
because I feel like if I know our diehard fans,
they're already out there waiting for those tickets for tomorrow.
Yeah.
Oh, absolutely, for the parade, absolutely.
We'll check back in with you guys in just a little bit.
I thought we just need to do a check on all
the fans who were out partying last night.
Everybody okay? Everybody hydrated? Getting to work?
A lot of those folks have waited a very, very long time.
44 years, I can vouch, is not, you know, a minute.
It goes by quickly, I suppose,
but it was not exactly speeding by for those Brewers fans,
and it feels like a wonderful, wonderful day today.
It looks like a wonderful, wonderful day today.
Look at this spectacular shot from Manitowoc.
Another great shot as we check in with Kenosha.
Time lapse from the Kenosha cam does show
a few showers that rolled through last night.
Had a couple of little puddles to wake up to this morning.
And we've had some sunny breaks, but generally cloudy so far.
We will get a lot more sunshine, though, by this afternoon.
You can see how things have really started
to clear up farther north and west.
The cold front is just starting to make its way through.
And obviously the air behind that is colder, but it's not cold.
It is late October at this point,
and it's still upper 30s, low to mid 40s,
even behind the front as we sit at 61 in Milwaukee.
So with the sunshine that follows today,
we'll still see temperatures in the mid 60s, upper 60s before sunset.
And then it will be a more seasonal night tonight,
and it looks really good throughout the day for the parade.
So let's go take a look ahead here with Sky Vision Plus.
We'll show you tomorrow's weather today.
Look at that beautiful clearing. A bit of a breezy northwest wind,
but we're dry throughout the afternoon.
Clear and dry tonight and into tomorrow morning.
Early morning prep. Things get set up for the parade.
As folks get down there and find a spot along the route as we get our
camera crews and all of our teams set up, it'll be pretty easy going.
And by the time the parade actually steps off at 10 a.m., looks good.
Sunshine, little northeast breeze, looks good right through
to the rally point there at noon down at Henry Meyer Festival Park.
And we stay dry throughout Friday afternoon into Friday evening.
Does kind of change up Friday night into Saturday.
And it's a statewide thing.
We clear out and we stay beautiful throughout the day Thursday
and most of the day on Friday as well here at home and up north.
But by later Friday night into Saturday morning,
some clouds and some showers do start to roll in.
We'll have a few more showers throughout the day Saturday,
which of course is Halloween.
It won't be a washout.
Just kind of follow the forecast, check out the app, pick a window
in there somewhere where it kind of settles down for your neighborhood
and the kids should be just fine to get out
and do some trick-or-treating.
But you will kind of have to pick your spots in between those showers.
But at least it's not snow.
It wasn't all that long ago that we had snow on Halloween.
In 2023, we picked up over three inches worth of snow.
So a few sprinkles isn't going to stop us, right?
Our Fox 6 Day Planner starting off here at 68 today,
58 tomorrow, and 60 on Saturday.
Should be 64 on Sunday.
Don't forget to fall back.
Yes, we set the clocks back an hour this weekend.
Also check the batteries in all of your alarms and detectors.
Mid-60s and back to some wet stuff Monday and Tuesday.

Fox 6 Wake Up News, Milwaukee's most trusted morning news show.
Welcome back, everybody.
I think it's safe to say that a Brewers World Series win calls
for a little bit of a wardrobe update
with, of course, some new sweet World Series merch.
Our Brian Cramp is taking a closer look
at all of the new stuff that's coming in
Cramp, I am just loving all the designs
of everything the different logos the different
styles I mean they've got something for everybody at Dick's exactly
so I was going through the stuff
for kids as well as women I can't believe how uniquely different
the sizes are in the shape
of the shirt so if you're particular about the size
or your body type i mean they have everything
for everybody and that's one of the perks because
when you're coming to the dicks and you want some
merch you want that world series brewers
merchandise first uh they're gonna have you
covered i'm gonna say this again like i did before
in previous hits look be patient right this this
team is working overtime just like everybody else
and kyle from the from dicks knows that as well
swing on over here kyle you know the team
is phenomenal we talked about being up last night
um you were working you were cheering you're back
at it again what's it like i'm gonna ask this
because i don't know
in other states during championship runs isn't this bonkers like
depend on the team the atmosphere how often they're winning like
this hasn't happened in
44 years so everybody's pretty darn excited
and pretty i'm pretty willing to go to get this
merchandise yeah and they're getting a little bit
of everything everything i i saw a woman walk out
with five bags you know i'm seeing dads call
their wives to make sure that the kids are getting the
right size getting the right color uh we talked about
that and the importance of what this team
has created for the culture for the community of milwaukee
but it extends outward into wisconsin
and you're seeing that at stores across
the state yeah all 13 of our wisconsin stores opened up
immediately following the win last night they
were opened back again this morning at 7 a.m
it's not just milwaukee it's the entire state
this period are you ever surprised of how many
people show up before the doors open whether it's at night
or the morning and then continue to fill
the store and buy the merch it never surprises me yeah
um i think if you become surprised and
be taken over by it um never never be doubtful of fandom
and what can happen right come
to the woodland yeah and i appreciate you being here i know you're
a fan of the brewers and we've
been hearing chants of go brewers go morning i think
when the parade happens tomorrow all these
people are going to be very happy they got the merch
to show that off as well thanks for joining
us again kyle i'm here at dick's in brookfield guys they
are officially open with that world series
brewers merchandise there you go go brewers more
fox six wake up coming back after the break
well good morning
and welcome back to wake up you guys
if you're just waking up with us your
Brewers, our World Series champion. We did it, man.
I love hearing that. Yeah, it was quite the
night last night. An amazing game.
The city is electric this morning and things look great
heading into the parade forecast.
But one thing at a time here. Let's get your day started with
a live look from the top of the Mount Aaron
A little cloudy now. We'll get more sunshine later
on. Right now it's 61. It's a pretty mild start to our day today.
You see that beautiful clearing
north and west and that's going
to get us some very nice sunshine midday and into the afternoon
cold front doesn't do much to the temperatures
to be honest it'll knock them down a bit from
yesterday but we're already in the 60s we'll
be in the mid 60s most of the afternoon with tons
of sunshine so a beautiful day enjoy that it should
be an easygoing morning commute i'll take
a very quick check at your roads here a positive update uh
no crashes to report right now at 8 33
we love to see that we are still seeing some delays
on 94 in both directions uh right now
94 headed east is your slow spot 18 minutes to go
from Moreland to downtown this is right where
those lanes get reduced from three to two around
the ballpark um so yeah i know this morning we
were our crews were commenting on how people
were honking as they head past the American Family
Field today kind of giving
a little like too too we're world series champions usually they're
honking because they're mad about the construction right
not today today it's in celebration it's a
it's a celebratory honk okay
so the Brewers have finally done it you know they say the best things
in life are worth waiting for and nobody knows
that better than we do we're officially world
series champions this morning after winning game
five last night against the Rays four to one
Derek Williams
and Donovan Long they are live outside AmFam Field home of your 2026
world series champions good morning guys it's electric
in Milwaukee yes it is electric yes it
is so excited to be out here
because we're starting to see people line up for the World Series
merchandise for the team store that opens at 9 o'clock here.
That's right. I put my hat on,
but I think I may go get another one.
That line, as you saw from last night, wrapped around. It
was almost by like third base. So it's just been exciting.
I think this is a moment that we have
been waiting for for generations. And the Brewers delivered.
They delivered for themselves. They
delivered for the franchise and, of course, the city of Milwaukee.
And it's so impactful when you
think about how the magnitude
of this moment I mean the crew has not seen a
World Series ever title
and so to be in this moment to live in this moment in
relish in it is so meaningful
for so many people yeah and I just want to
obviously give a huge kudos kudos
to those players because they put their
bodies there's so much the practices the workouts
and it all paid off yeah and
I'm so glad you brought that up
because Sal Frelick had an injured shoulder an
an injured knee, and then he hurt his hand
when the pitcher at the time,
who was on the mound, I forget,
from the Rays, threw and it hit his hand.
And so that guy dealt with a lot of adversity
to win with his teammates the World Series title.
Yeah, they powered through it. They all showed athleticism.
It was just amazing.
Folks, obviously here at AmFam, 31,000 tickets were sold yesterday.
Folks poured into the parking lots, into the streets as well.
Everyone was just excited.
As we said, this was a win for generations to come,
especially for this person right here stay
with us guys check out we might have one of the youngest
here how old she's three months three months what's
her name audrey audrey and what's your
name lauren what do you feel i have
an eight month old home you guys are brave uh but why bring her
tonight um it's just exciting it's exciting
to be here it's exciting to celebrate milwaukee and
celebrate the Brewers so I want to be a part
who cares if we don't sleep huh I don't uh what's
the moment you guys are going to remember
from this one um probably just that last outfit when
the fireworks went off Betty came down it was just
so fun and so special to be here and celebrate
with our family oh man yeah and that's it
because those are the pictures those are the memories that
are going to last as we heard from people
who you know witnessed the one in 57 talking about
would happen then or even you know back in 82
when we thought we had a chance but this is it
guys we finally made it and we're going
to continue that celebration tomorrow Don it's
going to so it's going to be so cool
for that young toddler to like look up 27 years later
and be like I went to a World Series game with mom
and dad and maybe they took home some confetti
just to put in the pocket just as a like
a keepsake all the keepsakes so we're going to go
check on some other keepsakes in just a bit Nicola
and Hayley oh my gosh so sweet yeah I love to see
those little baby headphones yes protecting
the ears you have to figure those must really work
wonders you know yeah it was loud last night at AmFam yeah you're
so right all right guys thank
you well this morning we are all waking up
to a new reality Milwaukee is at the top of the baseball
world where we belong I know this is so exciting
and everybody is sharing that excitement not only
in person at the watch parties all week long
but also online our Andrew Amuzu has been following
along for us to give us some of the uh the best out
of your social media feeds today hey there
Andrew hey Nicola yeah it's definitely
been a memorable morning on social media just looking
at all of the different tweets
and uh even just all across social media Instagram Facebook you
name it the energy is alive and well i do also want to mention
though that this has been going
on all season long we have so many great memories i mean i forgot
who it was was it donovan or
Derek who even mentioned Sal Frelick you can just look
at this i mean when they rolled out
these jerseys those were iconic
and of course we have other iconic moments from when Maddie won
Maddie uh faced what was that Ben's Barrel battle
champion i mean we have so many different memories
here that we are continuing to just remember
on but of course on social media the social media
game is alive and well let's start with uh
the Milwaukee Fire Department because they of course
are fired up no pun intended
or maybe it was here with that helmet look at that the blue and gold
helmet and i love the front there too
of course it says Milwaukee Fire Department but you got the
logo it is a big splash there speaking of Milwaukee
though of course you can't think about the Brewers
without Miller Lite look
at those custom cans Miller Lite clinch cans those are really cool
as well moving on to the sports world of Milwaukee
the Milwaukee Bucks shouting out the champions of
Of course, they know how much Milwaukee rallies are behind
their sports teams just several years ago with Bucks in six.
Now it's Brewers in five.
And last but not least, I do also want to highlight the Baseball Hall
of Fame because they are saving a lot of the memorabilia
from this postseason run, especially the World Series.
Think about Bryce Terong's Game 5 cleats, the Miz's Game 5 cap.
I mean, those are just two of a handful of so many things
that you'll be able to find at the Baseball Hall of Fame.
And what a Hall of Fame run overall.
We'll continue to give you updates on social media,
what we're seeing, the excitement, all of that.
Not just coast to coast, but of course, online, guys.
All right. I'm sorry, really quickly.
Andrew, is that my Sal Frelick jersey that you took out of my purse?
It may or may not be your jersey.
I just heard Sal Frelick and
I'm like, oh, my gosh, yes, he was a champ,
and he was just a warrior through this.
So I was like, oh, jersey right there.
Andrew, what else did you take?
Did you take your breath mints?
Yeah, just going through our bags while we're anchoring.
I see.
This is how we do it.
Dude, you never go through a lady's purse.
Rule number one.
My mom, she told me about that.
Y'all are friends, so it's fine.
That's the last thing I thought I was going to pull out was my jersey.
But we're happy.
We're celebrating.
I'm going to allow it today.
She's like, that looks familiar for a good reason.
All right, Andrew.
Okay, so all the brewers we know are going to have
to fly back to Milwaukee at some point today
to make it in time for the parade that's early tomorrow.
Their plane is expected to land sometime later on this afternoon.
Well, our Stephanie Quirk is over at Mitchell International,
where some excited fans have already passed through the terminal.
How is the energy there, Steph?
Oh, I see she's on the sky glider.
Well, that's where the parade's going to be, the grounds.
Perfect.
Exactly, you guys.
I'm just getting a little preview of the fun to come.
Haley, I will note that I almost, Andrew took your jersey,
I almost took your Brewers Take October t-shirt that I know you love
so much this morning when I was like,
what do I wear for the Brewers coverage?
Well, we're on the SkyGlider right now just getting a glimpse
of what this amazing parade is going to be like tomorrow,
but I want to show you what's happening right now.
I also, of course, brought my handy rally towel,
but take a look over here.
You wouldn't necessarily think, oh, let's go to the airport for gear.
But look at this, guys.
You guys, they have World Series champions gear already here
at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport.
Look at this.
T-shirts.
They got bears.
They got cups.
They have sweatshirts.
You name it.
Just awesome.
Rolling out the red carpet for the brew crew.
And they already got the banners up and everything.
I'll tell you guys.
I keep saying this, but it's so true.
We came with the idea to talk to fans who are landing, obviously,
who went to Florida to see the Brew Crew play in person
and win in person.
As they got off the plane,
just get their reaction and things like that.
But we ended up talking to fans
who were literally getting on a plane at like 4.30 in the morning
who were just so excited,
just reeling from last night and the win and coming here,
getting gear and cheering on the Brew Crew.
It is a magical time to be in Milwaukee.
And, hey, if you're looking for World Series championship gear,
come to the airport.
Back to you.
Good to know there's stuff.
Yeah, probably lines are a little bit slower.
I am curious.
They mentioned it last night.
I'm curious, the fans who are flying back today, how they're feeling.
Because they were out late.
They were partying.
Hopefully, they're just continuing the celebration.
Maybe a little hair of the dog on the plane there.
Yes.
Oh, my goodness.
A little nap.
Yes.
Yes.
A neck pillow, a Brewer's neck pillow.
I'm going to figure it out.
Quirk, thank you.
And even like the...
Oh, thank you.
We'll check back in with you later, Quirk.
Hey, this brings us to our Fox 6 Instapoll.
We asked, will you be attending
the Brewer's World Series Championship Parade?
Let's see.
Drum roll, please.
It's going to be...
Yes.
Nice.
63% of you guys making plans to go
and see the championship parade in person.
Now, 37% saying no.
Maybe you have work plans,
but that's the good news is that here at Fox 6,
we're the official broadcast partner.
We're going to have some exclusive access
for you, so if you can't go in person,
you can still tune in tomorrow.
We'll bring you that parade coverage.
But we also want to keep hearing from you guys,
so fox6now.com slash poll to vote in that.
Wonderful.
All right, time now to get you all set up for Fox 6 Wake Up at 9.
Yeah, this morning is going by quickly.
It is.
So ahead on your news at 9 o'clock.
We're taking a moment to remember
those that played for the first Brewers team
that made it to the World Series.
Everything from memorabilia to their thoughts
on this year's World Series champions.
Well, fans turned to the Bob Uecker
Memorial following Wednesday's victory
to honor the late broadcaster.
Gino is talking his legacy and showing us what fans have left
hours after the crew solidified themselves as world champions.
And a Brookfield woman shows us
her astonishing Brewer's-themed pumpkin.
That's a pumpkin.
You know, I see it.
You've got to look closely, though.
The best part is her entry into a pumpkin decorating competition
that her co-workers say that she's won for 12 years straight.
And, you know, Haley, I think she's got
a good chance at another year, 13 years straight.
We'll be right back.
Welcome back, everybody.
So as the parade planning begins for tomorrow,
one really important topic for all of us is safety, right?
So we caught up with a team over at the Milwaukee Police Department
that is tasked with preventing any widespread danger,
but also ensuring that everybody has a good time.
We, as officers, can also get lost in the mob a little bit, right?
And so to be able to have these officers
and sergeants out there in these vests
and be recognizable as somebody that should be grabbed, right?
You know they're not a regular fan
because they're not wearing the brewer's gear.
They're wearing this.
So that's really important.
And it helps us when we get in with the crowd, when we're near
to particular issues, to be able to help out as best we can.
Goodness.
And you know they're preparing right now for tomorrow, for that parade.
It's a good reminder that we can go, we can have fun, and we can know
that they're doing the nice precautions to keep us safe.
And we just need to follow the rules as well.
You're so right.
Yeah, we've got to think about all the people,
all the moving parts that go into planning a massive event like that.
And, you know, we're very happy to do it.
We're very happy to have the facilities to do it.
We've all been kind of like running high on adrenaline,
right, and like heart rate through the roof.
So here I present a moment of zen, a little cleansing breath.
This is gorgeous.
One of our live cameras.
It looks like it's some sort of, you know, fake thing
that your TV puts on when you stop looking at it long enough.
And the little, you know, like a screensaver.
Screensavers come up.
But it's not.
It's a live camera at Lakeville, Pennsylvania.
Spectacular image right there.
Back here at home, still looking pretty good
as we check out our live cam at North High School.
Got some pretty colors as we go to our new bird cam as well.
Still working on the clouds, but we should see those start to thin out
and break up pretty quickly here once this front clears.
The air in behind the front is, of course,
by definition colder, but it's not cold.
It's still seasonally warmer than average,
and that's how we kind of hang for the next little while here.
In fact, our forecast for the parade looks nearly perfect.
Let's go check it out on Sky Vision Plus.
So short term here, we're looking at some clouds
and then we get back to sunshine, breezy northwest wind.
But like I said, even though we're behind the cold front,
it's still an above average day today.
More of an average night tonight
as that cooler air settles in and clear skies.
And then again, perfect conditions for the parade.
All the setup, all the stuff we were just talking about
and getting the city ready for it.
That's going to happen with some very calm conditions
in the wee hours of the morning.
And then by the time the actual parade steps off,
sunny northeast breeze, comfortable temperatures.
and we stay dry right through the rally
at noon down at Henry Meyer Festival Park,
and we're still calm and clear right through Friday night.
The statewide point of view pretty much shows the exact same thing.
No matter where you are in the Badgerland today and tomorrow,
we get to have some great weather to celebrate our brewers.
And then Friday night into Saturday,
some clouds roll in and some showers too.
Now, timing is everything for Saturday
with the trick-or-treaters heading out.
And I think if you stay tuned and stay weather aware
and check out your app, you'll find a window where
the kids can get around the neighborhood without getting too soaked.
It's not going to be an all day rain,
but there will be scattered showers even into the trick or treat hours.
And then it settles down as we move into our Sunday.
Speaking of Halloween, yes,
we might see some rain this year, but this was just 2023.
It wasn't that long ago we were dealing with snow as the trick
or treaters were out there doing their thing.
It was a rough one back in 2023,
but we made some pretty cool memories going door to door,
trudging through the snow in our snow coats.
If we look ahead here,
we actually don't have any chance of getting snow in the forecast
because of the mild conditions not only today,
but for the next several days.
68 is well above the 56 degree average,
and we don't see any break in the above average air
even on into the first few days, maybe the first few weeks of November.
So our Fox 6-Day Planner starts off strong here at 68,
drops to 58 tomorrow and 60 on Saturday for Halloween.
64 Sunday, still well into the 60s,
but getting wetter by Monday and Tuesday.
Well, a Brewers World Series win calls
for a wardrobe update with some new merch.
Our Brian Cramp joins us live in Brookfield,
getting a closer look at some Brewers merch at Dick's Sporting Goods.
And I imagine this is flying off the tables.
Oh, they are, too.
It's been nonstop since they opened up at 7 o'clock.
In fact, Haley, it was last night at 10:15
that they actually had the stores open.
So that's pretty impressive.
As you can see, we got some footage of the shoppers.
The idea is to find the one that you like.
But there are so many people that are coming through the doors.
Look at this.
This is from last night at their Greendale location.
Brewers won the World Series,
and they immediately had to get their merchandise.
And people were running in just nonstop after each other.
and that's the type of support that the fans have given
this team the entire season and it's not
only at the stores there
but it's all across the state of Wisconsin we have four stores locally
one down in Kenosha those are all really accessible
to our area but you can also order
online now when it comes to the fans well that's
that's the best part right these are a few of the
fans that are here today
and i love this story guys let's talk to you guys we have Karen we have
Katie and we have John good morning
