Mullen's Dairy Bar celebrates Brewers World Series win with free ice cream

Fans still riding the wave of this championship victory and who doesn't like to celebrate with some ice cream? That sounds good to me. We've got Matt and Adam Keepen joining us live from Mullins Dairy Bar where they have a special World Series promotion today. Guys, good morning to you. Good morning. Thanks for having us. Well, thank you for joining us. Okay, so walk us through. You're doing a free ice cream. Can you explain kind of the terms of this and how our viewers at home can redeem it sure so Mullins Dairy Bar has been around since 1932 next year will be our 95th year they've always had a tradition that when the weather is negative 20 or below as indicated by our poster back here we give away a free scoop of ice cream so yesterday we were sitting around we saw our phantom brewer's pennant sitting above that poster and thought well you know what is even more rare than negative 20 degrees how about a World Series win so we decided to turn our Mullins winter tradition into a Mullins World Series tradition and so today in Watertown from 11 a.m to 8 p.m we'll be giving away a free scoop of ice cream to everyone who comes out amazing oh my gosh um so i gotta ask you like how do you prepare for something like this because we have other businesses in our community who are doing you know free brats free beer and it seems like quite a lift and Brewers fans they show up they do yeah so um yeah we're definitely rolling out the barrels of ice cream here at Mullins uh here this afternoon we've got plenty of ice cream um if you can't make it out here to Watertown you can find their ice cream in all Sundex locations as well you'll have to pay for that but um we're not worried about running out maybe some flavors we might get a little bit of shy on later on today but um we'll have something cold and sweet for you if you stop out absolutely i mean what a sweet way to celebrate the victory here i imagine this has to be an exciting time for you guys are you big Brewers fans what were your reactions last night when we got that final out we did it very exciting uh yeah we've all waited a really long time for this you know this one's for our dad this one's for you know Gary Schwan this one's for a lot of good uh people that we've seen go before us that would greatly appreciate it so yeah we're excited we grew up Brewers fans absolutely oh my gosh so exciting time for you a really exciting time for your customers um absolutely what are the popular flavors anything blue or yellow maybe 11 we've got a blue moon you know i know at uh at at AmFam Stadium sometimes they they roll that retro ad on the two-fisted slobber uh we're gonna have a lot of two-fisted slobbers out here today on ice cream this is our dirt actually this is our dirt cake both scoops are this is our most popular flavor i imagine we'll be scooping a lot of blue moon too i know you mentioned the color blue we've got that but the cool thing about our ice cream is we don't use any artificial dyes right so there's no corn syrup no carrageenan this is a really healthy treat for families. So we look forward to seeing everybody out here today. Hey, sweet, sweet victory. Yes, of course. I love that you're doing this for the community. And I know those fans are going to go get that ice cream. It's too bad we can't put the ice cream through the screen because those cones look delicious. I want one. I know. Come on out for delicious burgers, homemade soup, a lot of good food. It's a plan. Oh, homemade soup too. That sounds so good. All right. Thanks, guys. I know they're busy preparing for all of these Brewers to go get their ice cream. It's going to be a party there. It's going to be a party here on Real Milwaukee. We got more coming up right after this break.
