Replaced a TXV on a Carrier system I diagnosed a couple of days ago.
This morning we are we are back
on this one and we're going
to right now we're going to pump it
down and we're getting
ready to do a TXV on it.
Now I'm going to per her
suggestion I'm going to
pull this open and take a look at that piston right there
and blow everything out.
It
was
really
loose.
You
smell
smoke.
All
right
this
is
my
first
use
of
the
552i
as you can see i'm pulling down
pretty quick i was actually able
to read this from inside i know
it's not very far away about 10 15 feet
but um i was able to monitor this from inside and
while i'm doing my work all right i got it down
below 400 microns i still think i need to change
the oil in my vacuum pump
because normally it goes a good bit quicker than that that took about
10 15 minutes um with fresh hold i don't i don't take
that like five minutes just pulling on an
evaporator but i'm fixing
the valve at all
and um watch it all right
that's with it valved off
that's
excellent
see
if i
need
freon
let's
check
sub
cooling
yeah
one
degrees
out
here
Watch
it
just a second kind of information you can get
after using these probes is it's just phenomenal
The pressure, sub-cooling,
temperature, humidity,
wet bulb, it's just no mess.
Alright, in the end,
the pressures, sub-cooling,
all came out just fine.
They're right where they're supposed to be.
So, replacing that TXV was the right thing to do.
And by the way, the 552i is nice.
It's a nice addition to this set.
