Northern Ontario town of Blind River has these new waterfront skeletons just in time for Halloween
Oct 30, 2026
This is our friend Crypto.
He is number one skeleton of four that are located on the Blind River.
And they are here as part of our tourism initiative,
which is sponsored by FedNAR.
And we're lucky to have these guys out every fall
so that our tourists and our residents can come and visit them.
And let me tell you, the kiddies get such a kick out of them
when they're walking around them because voices come out.
Don't you know it's impolite to stare?
Who said that? These are just big bones.
I'm not fat. Wanna guess my weight?
It's a skele-ton.
And they're scary voices, and when you're not expecting them,
you just don't know how to
react to these kinds of situations, but they are quite friendly.
They are a little bit funny,
and uh, we're just lucky to have them in our community.
Any more joke?
Why are skeletons so cold?
Because nothing gets under their skin.
Get it?
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
I think you're wrong.
I do.
I think that anything that brings joy to people
or brings discussion from people.
Uh, they are controversial,
because some people don't realize that the money did come from a grant,
and so they're concerned that these were dollars spent not on potholes.
But, all in all, I think that, uh,
our little friends here are adding to our Fall Festival,
and they're adding to our community, and what more can you ask for?
I've got a secret. Do you know what skeletons go to way to pay?
