We got college basketball right around the corner here.
I'm going to play a game with you here.
I'm going to throw some teams at you,
and you tell me their chances of winning
the national championship in college hoop.
The Florida Gators, as much as it pains me,
their odds of winning the national championship this year,
how good a basketball team do you think that's going to be this year?
I think it's absolutely fantastic.
I mean, they have the best front line in college basketball.
Thomas Howell and Ruben Chinelu and Alex Condon, right?
And then obviously Denzel Abridine is part of that lawsuit.
He's eligible to play.
Todd Golden won a national championship two years ago.
I think a big thing is consistency and teams bringing guys back.
That's why you see them and UConn near the top of the board,
even Duke, because of the talent they brought back.
I think that means more than people think.
When it comes to college basketball, winning a national championship.
Let me go over to another team here, Illinois.
You know, a good team a year ago, really a good basketball team.
The program is sensational, always has been.
What do you think their odds are in winning a national championship?
Their team, I think, is going to make a final four as well.
Brad Underwood is probably one of the most
underrated coaches in the country
and really gets that team to play well.
Eva Sitch is back, so they have a lot of talent.
So that's a team I think that could win a national championship.
And one quick thing before we get to the W.
Down that board, 30-1,
if St. John's can keep these kids eligible, right?
Keyshawn Hall is now eligible to transfer from Auburn.
Obviously, they have Yesifu.
They got the kid Ellis that's really watched
this kid at the point of attack.
They got him from Europe, really dynamic player.
I tell you this right now, 30-1, St. John's is a bargain
if they keep all these guys eligible.
If they're all eligible, I would put them at like 10-1, 20-1.
So you're already getting value
on St. John's if you jump in on them now.
Yeah, we're going to get Coach Calhoun on next week here.
You know how big a fan I am of UConn.
I love this basketball program,
what they've done up there with Hurley and them guys.
I mean, they've kind of just springboarded
into what they've done over the last 40 years.
UConn shot at winning the national championship.
Don't ever bet against a Hurley.
I mean, I coached against Mr. Hurley,
so I can tell you, don't ever bet against a Hurley.
And, you know, they have experience,
and they got a transfer, a.k.a. Baby Shaq.
Najee Hyde, remember that name?
Kid was at Seton Hall playing for Keenan Holloway.
No disrespect to Sean, I love him, that's my guy.
Couldn't pay him.
Couldn't pay him enough.
And that's the problem that we have
in college basketball is the have and the have not.
Almost in the same league.
Baby Shaq goes to stores.
He replaces Tyron Reed Jr.
He did a great job.
That's gone.
I'll tell you right now.
That's another team.
College basketball is going to be so good
because you got all those teams we've talked about.
Arizona with Tommy Lawrence.
It's going to be great.
Michigan State can get finally another championship.
Obviously, Sean Miller in Texas.
Louisville with Floyd Padunga bringing him in.
Calipari 25-1.
Virginia working its way back.
We haven't even talked about guys that are coming into the league.
Obviously, like the guy that went from Denver, Michael Malone.
It's with UNC.
College basketball.
And then 30-1 too.
Houston.
That's the lowest spot we've seen the Houston Cougars.
Maybe this is when they kind of bring it up now
when people don't expect as much out of Kelvin and Samson's crew.
