to the family's home to sexually assault his fiancee
All while their two young children were inside.
The attack happened October 16th.
Surveillance video captured the violent struggle
showing a Buckeye mother fighting off a man in her driveway.
She was able to provide police
with a description of the suspect vehicle,
a partial plate. And so that immediately gave
our investigators something to work off of.
The next day, police arrested 20-year-old Adrian Ayala,
who claimed he was sent by the victim's partner, Zarian Dyer.
My client...
Drawn to the home by the victim's boyfriend
and this is essentially a role play scenario.
Dyer appeared in court late last night where
prosecutors laid out chilling evidence
that he knew his fiance was completely unaware of the plan.
On the co-conspirators phone, police recovered the messages
Which is where the defendant was messaging with.
Apparently a stranger encouraging him to come
to the defendant's residence where his wife would
be alone and unsuspecting.
According to court records, Dyer also told Ayala his fiance would
not be okay with their agreement
and even told Ayala multiple times he would have to be okay
with forcing himself on her and would have
to threaten the kids if she tried to call 911.
Dyer then sent him their address
and explicit instructions to force his way inside,
choke the victim unconscious, and to FaceTime him as he raped her,
all while Dyer was out pretending to run errands.
When Dyer arrived home,
both surveillance and court records
show he delayed chasing after Ayala.
When confronted by detectives,
Dyer denied any involvement, claiming that he was scammed.
He's now facing multiple charges
as being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond.
Ayala has bonded out but is still facing charges.
Police say the victim
and her children are now receiving crisis and safety support.
