With stories that matter to you, this is Fox 6 News at 9.
I'm going to have a beer for every single person here.
I'm having 100,000 beers. Let's go!
Now on Fox 6, Challenge accepted.
The World Series champion Brewers and the City
celebrating the team's first title in franchise history.
How you feeling, man?
This is amazing. This is awesome. So much fun.
And tonight, we're showing you the exclusive sights
and sounds of the iconic parade through Milwaukee
and the moments fans will remember and Brewers will remember forever.
It's a day of celebration in Milwaukee
with the World Series champion Brewers,
a parade taking over parts of downtown, making memories for a lifetime.
Milwaukee police estimate more than 750,000
fans took part in the celebrations.
That's more than the population of the city itself.
Fans camped out for hours just to see their world champion Brewers
and packed the streets, parking structures,
roofs, balconies, windows, you name it.
The parade featuring the players, both current and former.
Team staff, stadium staff, broadcasters, and more.
The route started at Vel Phillips
and Wisconsin before ending up at the Summerfest grounds.
And today was a moment decades in the making, a moment of a lifetime.
Some might say our Sam Kramer had the best seat in the house with Fox 6
proudly being the official broadcast partner
of the Brewers for the parade.
Sam was able to exclusively ride along in the buses with the team.
I think that's Aaron Ashby there with the Commissioner's Trophy.
The players were having the time of their lives,
and yes, the alcohol was definitely flowing for sure.
And it's estimated fans alone drank 250,000 cans
of beers on the Summerfest grounds,
and that's not counting what was consumed inside the amphitheater.
We'll hear from players throughout Fox 6 News at 9,
but let's start with NLCS MVP Jake Bowers.
What are you feeling right now?
Oh, man, this is electric.
This is electric.
I'm taking the trophy on the street.
I'm taking the trophy on the street right now.
You guys did so well.
You clinched everything on the road.
To get this moment at home, what's it mean to you?
Oh, this is everything.
This is everything.
This is why we play.
This is why we play right here for these people,
for this city.
This means everything to them.
It means everything to us as well.
The turnout, did you ever imagine it would be like this?
I knew it would be like this.
The people love the Brewers.
The Brewers love the people, man.
This is incredible.
Pretty incredible there,
Jake Bowers fielding the ball from Bryce Terang to make that final out,
and the parade route passed right
by the Bob Uecker Memorial at Jackson and Mason.
And this was the moment the team's buses got there,
the players all pointing at the mural,
getting off the buses and taking to the streets
to share the special moment with fans.
We brought that to you live on air and on Fox Local.
And after the parade came the cleanup.
For thousands of fans, though, they're keeping the party alive,
and you better believe it'll go right through this Halloween weekend.
Abril Preciado joins us live from downtown Milwaukee with the pulse
of the crowds. How are they feeling there tonight, Abril?
That's right, Bill. I mean, the parade route may be cleared now,
but folks out here tell me that they're getting ready
for an eventful weekend. Check it out.
Let's go!
Excitement that is felt in downtown Milwaukee after
the city wrapped up the Brewers Parade of Champions Friday morning.
It was a great celebration. It brought so many people together.
I think that was one of the best things to see.
The Milwaukee Police Department estimates three-quarters
of a million fans packed in for the parade and rally.
Excited to be with the city and celebrate with everybody.
It was a lot of fun baseball throughout the week, so it's good to see.
Following the parade,
the Department of Public Works wasted no time getting to work.
Getting things cleaned up just in time for a busy weekend.
It's Wisconsin tradition.
We got to keep the party going.
And bars like Who's on 3rd are ready.
We've gone through just an insane amount of beer,
an insane amount of beer.
Bottles, cans, kegs, but I mean our liquor reps,
God bless them because they're answering my phone calls and I'm like,
I need four more kegs and they're here. So we've made it work.
And while the work has been long and hard throughout the World Series,
then parade and now Halloween weekend.
We're still busy, but I think the excitement is just everybody's going
to be celebrating for like days. It's not the celebration is not over.
And that's right. And folks out here tell me that, you know, they're
just getting ready for to have a good time to continue celebrating.
And obviously, the vibes are definitely speaking for themselves
as well as we're out here. So reporting live from downtown Milwaukee,
Abriel Presiado, Fox Six News. All right.
Thanks a lot, Abriel. I know you will.
You'll be out there soon with all those other revelers. So, you know,
we'll see you at 10 and then go on and get out there. Have some fun.
Get out of here.
And this morning's parade wasn't the only part of the festivities.
Tens of thousands of people packed
the Henry Meyer Festival Park grounds
for a championship rally along the lake to celebrate the Brew Crew.
Our Derontae Matthews is here in studio
to take us through a look at the experience.
Hey there, Derontae.
Hey there, Bill. Now, it's 100% an experience
that no one there will forget. People called off work or skipped work,
schools were closed, or maybe you decided to play hooky.
Anyway, fans of all ages stood shoulder to shoulder showing their love
and support for the team.
And the championship rally kicked off around 12:30 this afternoon.
Fans crowded at American Family Insurance
Amphitheater at Summerfest Grounds.
Now, between the live music and entertainment, the brew crew got
a chance to address fans who waited so long for this moment.
The team hopped on stage and many clearly still partying
with beer cans in their hands while also showing off that trophy.
Now, this is where they got the chance to address their fans in person,
telling them just how much the support means.
I just want to say thank you.
Thank you to the city of Milwaukee, all these fans.
You guys have been amazing this whole year
and all the support you've given us. And just, I love you guys.
For me and my teammates,
this has been the most special day of our lives.
You guys showing up here and cheering us on.
This is better than anything we could ever imagine.
And the rally was also somewhat of a merging of generations.
Not only did we hear from current players and managers,
but also from some of the Brewers who were in the 1982 World Series.
The crew falling short in game seven with the Cardinals,
the city still held a parade for the team.
I know it's been 44 years.
I know back in 82 we had a chance.
But these guys, you guys are amazing.
I spent 17 years in the bullpen,
and this is one bad bullpen.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
And it was awesome. Now, of course,
to close out the celebration, there was a special moment
referencing Bob Uecker.
Robin Yount rolled out on the stage on Uecker's motorcycle. It
recreates an iconic moment from the 1982 World Series
when Uecker rolled that Harley
inside the County Stadium.
Yount says this was in better working condition,
thank goodness, than the first time he rode it years ago.
I've ridden this bike.
About 25 years ago, and it didn't have any brakes,
so I wasn't sure I wasn't going to
end up on the other end of the stage,
but thank God it stopped, it's here, and God bless
you, Bob Uecker.
What a way to end it. The celebration
also wrapped up with a photo that they called
the biggest selfie in Wisconsin,
including the team on stage as well as the tens of thousands
in the crowd. Bill? All right, thanks a lot, Durante.
So many memorable moments from all of
that. You can see the complete Brewers Championship celebration
that aired on Fox 6. We have it
scheduled on Fox Local and Fox Local Mobile
to stream starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m.
We'll be right back.
Four and a half hours of pure joy to start
your weekend days only on Fox Local.
And what a beautiful day it was today for that celebration
and a nice evening fall night tonight.
And it definitely feels like fall for sure.
Our weather expert, Holly Baker, joining us now.
And, oh, Holly, rain chances return here in the next couple days.
Boo! So scary!
Very.
That's perfect, right?
Spooky season is here and the weather looks spooky for this weekend.
Otherwise, though, we will have some dry time,
so it's not going to be a total washout.
I know a lot of people are wondering,
will I have time to be out on Halloween?
Yes, you will. Just got to kind of dodge a couple of showers
that will be widespread across the entire southeast of Wisconsin.
Now, look at our temperatures right now. We're at 52 degrees,
not really a lot of changes from what we've seen earlier today.
We even have some of those 30s in Marquette there, 34.
Degrees guys check that out 40 in Duluth 43 out in Bismarck
then we're looking at 67 so a bit
warmer just to our south there
and that's in St. Louis no 60s in our area we do got some 50s out
there but starting to fall more into the 40s especially
for some of those northern communities
we will get to the 40s a little bit later
on tonight for some of our communities that are
still seeing the 50s taking a look here
at our satellite and radar we're
It's pretty dry right now, but we do got a little bit more
of those stray showers that are further out
to our west that will continue to pass through.
This is kind of going to be the start of the pattern
that we will see at least for Saturday's forecast.
Now looking at our evening planner here in the 50s and that's going
to be up until midnight. Still going to keep those clouds around.
Not a lot of rain to be expected.
Just some stray showers here or there.
Not everybody will even see the rain as well,
but we'll talk about the timing of that rain.
That's going to be coming up next in the full forecast.
So stick with us. Back to you, Bill.
Thanks a lot, Holly. His play was astounding, and tonight,
the message from fan favorite and World Series MVP William Contreras
and manager Pat Murphy soaking it all in, taking up the role,
as we might say, of Santa Claus in the parade.
We hear from the skipper coming up.
This is, for me and my teammates,
this has been the most special day of our lives.
You guys showing up here.
And cheering us on, this is better than anything we could ever imagine,
and we love you guys
from the bottom of our heart.
You're watching Fox 6 News
with Bill Mister.
How are you feeling right now?
You're about to become a dad, you just won a World Series,
whole state of Wisconsin seems
to be here.
What are you feeling?
I mean, excitement.
Excitement because we were able to do it
for the fans, you know what I mean?
Yeah.
You come out here and you see how much it means
to all the people of Wisconsin and Milwaukee and
this is what we do it for.
And then to be a dad too, I mean what a blessing.
They're giving you beers, they're giving you zins,
like what do you think of the reaction?
As you look out behind you,
I mean you can't even see any concrete, like it's just all people.
It's great. Milwaukee showed out.
I mean there's still so much left, so many people left.
I mean this is why we do it, you know, for the people.
I mean, look, JV's got his shirt off right here.
JV's got his shirt off right here.
It's about celebrating with the people
and the people that mean a lot to us
and the fans and all that.
It's a great experience.
You guys clinched everything on the road, so to come back and do this,
I'm going to guess you haven't slept,
but is it sinking in what you guys have done?
Right now in this moment, yeah.
I mean, like I said, to be with all these people,
it's the most important thing.
I think it's really starting to sink in right now.
And obviously we had a tarps off situation following
that at one point as the buses neared
the Summerfest ground, several players taking their shirts off.
Yeah, it was a little chilly perhaps,
but no doubt a little bit of liquid courage flowing
through their veins and helping things out.
And I mean, who can blame them?
They're World Series champions,
so I'm not going to shame them about that.
Now, Howie.
Do you think we're going to have maybe
a tarps off situation like that, that we can experience
like throughout the weekend?
Um, no.
I was thinking, I mean, if I was thinking about,
you know, after work, you know, maybe
tarps off in my driveway when I get home.
I mean, if you got a liquid, a liquor coat on.
Okay.
All right.
These people have liquor coats on.
So honestly, I think that they probably didn't feel the cool.
It felt good out today though.
It felt okay for me.
It was chilly, but it was, it was sunny.
It was nice.
Yeah.
I will say that we did have nice weather for the parade,
but I think as far as what it felt like for me,
there's no way I would have been bundled up in a coat with hand warmers
and we're not even in winter yet folks. Okay. But I will say this,
we are going to drop the temperatures again tonight and
We are going to warm back up tomorrow,
going to be back in the 50s tomorrow.
We really won't see warmer weather than
would feel like I like until next week where
we're back in the 60s.
So Sunday is going to be our next day where we actually can see that.
But for those of you that were out there, I hope.
That you had a very great time.
Hopefully the weather wasn't too chilly for you.
We do have another chilly night ahead of us tonight.
We only got to 53 degrees today for a high temperature,
so just a little bit below our normal.
We're at 52 degrees now with our dew points at 46.
Wind is from the east at about 6 miles per hour.
Looking at those temperatures here across
the entire southeast Wisconsin,
we got the warmer temperatures to the south, of course, in the 50s.
We do start to see some areas fall into the 40s as well.
Our lowest spot is in Sheboygan right now at 41 degrees.
We got some warmer spots, though,
53 in Watertown as well as in Kenosha.
Looking at those temperatures and how they'll trend throughout tonight,
what you'll notice here is that those temperatures will stay in the 50s
for majority of the night.
For Milwaukee, we could have some of those inland areas, though.
They could fall to the 40s tonight.
We do have a cool night ahead of us here,
not necessarily a mountain night.
It's going to be a little bit cooler than
what we've had over the past couple of days.
Now, looking at our satellite and radar here,
we are for the most part dry, but we do have
some spotty showers that are out there as well.
Those spotty and scattered showers will continue
to pretty much move into southeast Wisconsin
so we could see a little bit more of that rain in our area.
Now, again, everybody's not going to see rain,
but always prepare for, especially when it's
It's like this because this
This little cell could even move down towards the south.
You just never know, so just prepare for the rain
because we have more of that type of pattern on the way for Saturday.
Let's take a look at it here on our Sky Vision Plus.
We go throughout tonight. You'll notice
so scattered chance of showers heading into Saturday's forecast.
That's going to be Halloween. Halloween said Halloween.
It's going to be Halloween and things get a little spooky
for us as we continue with those showers throughout the day.
Now you notice here we do get a lot of dry time as well.
So it's not going to be a full blown washout.
However, there will be opportunity for rain,
especially during a time where some of those trick-or-treaters could
be out as we head overnight into Sunday could see maybe
A few stray showers. Otherwise, though,
Sunday is looking to be much better for us overall.
Looking at our six day planner here, what you'll notice,
too, is we've got time that's going to be falling back.
So we're going to gain an hour of sleep.
Don't forget to set your clock back an hour on Saturday night
so you can get an extra hour of sleep on Sunday.
But Saturday is looking to be pretty soggy for Halloween.
Sunday, we do have mostly cloudy sky conditions.
And as we start November,
we do warm back up to the 60s, keeping it in the 60s.
As we head towards the beginning of the week there,
you notice that we'll have a late chance
for showers to arrive again on Monday.
For the first start of the day of Monday,
though, we are looking to be dry.
It's just that afternoon and evening where things become wet again.
We do continue with a chance for showers on Tuesday,
Wednesday, and even perhaps Thursday.
Temperatures stay in the 60s as well,
and you look at those low temperatures.
We are going to be in the 50s before we know it,
so we don't have such a cold night on the way,
but we also have good weather at least after Saturday.
And that's all for your forecast.
Catch you on the other side of the break.
Brewers fans were on cloud nine today.
Many skipped work, many schools getting the day off,
all just to get a glimpse of the World Series champs.
I love Milwaukee. I love the Brewers. World Series champions!
The end!
That World Series trophy just came within inches
of you. Were you expecting that?
No, not at all. It was amazing.
They walked right on by, high-fiving. It was fantastic.
Seeing this in their lifetime,
we had to take advantage of it happening, so it took PTO
immediately.
This is our time, we won our way,
and we're World Series champions.
My kids didn't have school today,
my husband took the personal day, he's a teacher but
he's here, so we just had to be here
because it was a once-in-a-lifetime thing and it's
so amazing.
Oh man, amazing, best day of my life,
like, best day, almost speechless.
The suns are flowing, the bottles are going.
And we just saw somebody wait.
Did you ask for that?
I don't know.
I can't even believe my luck.
I got a picture of myself, a selfie with Sal.
I was in the tunnel somehow, unbelievably,
like when the police escort came with the buses
and a handful of the guys were walking through, high-fiving,
signing a couple of, you know, hats and things.
And I just grabbed him and I was like,
Sal!
I screamed like a 12-year-old at a Benson Boone concert.
What an ass!
Since 1 a.m.
What did you do all night?
We slept up in the parking garage.
That's right.
Shout out to Milwaukee!
Let's go!
You're watching Fox 6 News
with Bill Mister.
Well, it's a day Brewers fans waited their whole lives for.
A day they will never forget.
A World Series championship parade,
followed by a rally at the Summerfest grounds.
These are your people, Murph.
You're the manager of the people.
What would you like to say?
To the great city of Milwaukee
and the great state of Wisconsin and Brewers fans everywhere.
We came out this year with one goal,
and that's to be the last man standing.
And I think I speak for everybody
when I say there's no way they would have done it without you.
What was that like going down the parade route?
You've been in this game, and you've seen a lot in your life.
I want to know where that ranked among your experiences.
That was incredible.
Incredible.
The amount of people.
I kept thinking I saw the same people over and over.
We're just going in a circle.
There's no way there's that many people that live here.
And I had to pee as bad as anybody's ever had to pee.
He's got a going problem.
Good job holding it together.
No, I didn't say I held it together.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy, the reigning back-to-back MLB manager
of the year and likely in the running for a three-peat.
Murphy was one of the last vehicles in the parade,
you know, kind of like Santa in Christmas parades, right?
Our Mary Stoker-Smith caught up with Murphy discussing his work ethic
and mentality that pushed this team to become world champions.
How are you feeling today?
I'm just really grateful, you know,
it's really grateful to have such great people
come out and bring everybody together in the community,
you know, that's what's great about
team sports, you know, I mean,
that's the excitement of all, and as people on the field,
you just, you don't realize it sometimes until you
get them all together like this, it's amazing.
Did you ever think this day would come?
I mean, this city has been waiting,
you see the hats coming, 44 years.
Thank you, guys, thank you.
I'm just happy for the people of Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin.
You know, I'm just, I'm lucky.
I feel very lucky.
And today we also got the chance to hear
from World Series MVP catcher William Contreras.
Take a listen.
Milwaukee's newest MVP.
To hear them say that, what do you feel right now?
I love it. I love it, to be honest.
I don't even know what I feel right now.
I mean, I'm so glad to be Milwaukee Brewers.
I'm really happy for the city, and let's go.
Milwaukee Brewers, let's go!
You guys won everything on the road just to have this parade.
Can you, like, has it sunk in yet?
Yeah, yeah.
That's why we play hard.
That's why we play hard because we want
the people to feel like that in the city.
So now everybody's a champion.
How does it feel to be a World Series champion?
I feel great.
I feel like I'm number one.
And a big focus of today's celebration was also on the past,
the 1982 team that got to the World Series
but was never able to win it all.
Our Brian Poulsen caught up with Brewers legend Robin Yount.
What is this day like for you?
Well, it's what I expected.
I've known the fans of Milwaukee and Wisconsin
and Brewer fans for a long time.
And all of us have been waiting for this day.
And I expected nothing less of the fans.
You know, this means a lot to the Brewers, past Brewers,
Mr. Selig that brought the Brewers here to Milwaukee.
But I still say the fans of Wisconsin,
it means as much to them as any of us.
And that's why you have something like this.
The turnout the way it is, this is Wisconsin.
And I know it means a lot to fans that you are still so connected
and so a part of this organization and this community.
To see this finally happen after all of these years,
just for you personally,
how does that feel?
It's, to be honest, it's amazing.
A bit of a weight off our shoulders, you know, not just me,
but other players on that 82 team that got as close as we did
but fell one game short.
So, you know, we've carried that with us a long time.
And I've told some of the players
on this team that, you know,
they've made a lot of old Brewer players happy.
I almost feel like you know they've
They've put a little piece in our life that we've held for a long time.
You know, for 44 years, you and Paul Molitor and so many others
have been the legends of Brewers baseball,
and now there's going to be a new generation.
Forty-four
44 years from now, who do you think fans are going to be talking about
when they look back at Brewers greats?
Well, I hope a whole bunch of other world championship teams
that have happened, you know, since this one.
I hope this isn't the last by any means, you know.
Sometimes in sports and maybe in anything in life,
that first one's always the toughest.
And who knows, this may create some history here
in Milwaukee that won't take as long to repeat.
Now in that interview, Yount got choked up talking about his old pal,
the late, great Bob Uecker, Mr. Baseball.
We didn't lose you. He's here. He's here.
I know he's there. I threw out the first pitch.
I felt him all over me. Why do you think that
pitch went just a bit outside?
Now, Jahn's referring to game one of the World Series
when he threw out the first pitch, donning a plaid jacket,
and then as he walked to the mound,
taking that jacket off and pointing over to right center field.
As he gets ready to take the mound,
there he is pointing to right center field where there's
the tribute in the ballpark to Bob Uecker.
And it's been a wild couple of days for the world champs.
The day after the World Series win,
the Brewers were up at Lambeau Field.
Today, we caught up with fan favorite Sal Frelick,
fresh off his Lambeau Leap.
That's after the break.
And we're going to continue tracking a chance
with some scattered showers tonight and even more tomorrow.
I'll have the timing of it all coming up.
I did the Lambeau Leap. Yeah, it was like unbelievable.
It's been a dream of mine. I was in the end zone.
I saw it. I was like, I got to go. So I went.
Sal Frelick living his best life these past couple days.
He and his teammates have had a whirlwind.
48 hours, World Series win, a flight home yesterday afternoon,
then up to Lambeau last night.
As you can see, the Lambeau Leap right there,
and then the parade today we caught up with Sal
as he rode on the bus this morning.
Two nights ago,
Lambeau Leap last night,
World Championship parade today. What do you feel?
I'm on top of the world. It doesn't get any better.
Look at these people, man.
This is just so special.
James, did you expect to turn out
the World Series Commissioner's Trophy on your shoulder?
Is this real life? Has it sunk in?
Never in a million, James. Big win!
What an amazing moment today to just watch all that,
take it all in, and I know leading
into the day, there was a chance
for some maybe bad weather, but it turned out perfect.
Oh yeah, it definitely turned out perfect.
For the parade, it was going to be great, and it happened to be great.
It was just a little cooler.
You saw a lot of people out there, it's hoodie season for sure.
Oh yeah, bundled up, people in some winter hats too.
Oh yeah, and then now we're at the point where we have
a little bit of some showers we're
tracking, Bill, and it's not going to be that bad.
It's not going to be any severe weather, nothing like that,
but it is going to be some showers that are scattered.
So not even everybody will see the rain.
Some areas will see some rain for a split second
and then you'll dry out while another area will
then take over that rain. That's kind of going
to be the pattern that we are going to be watching
at least over the next 24 hours.
So tonight into Saturday's forecast. Now looking at our
almanac here, we got the 53 degrees today.
Our normal temperature is 55. This number just gets
lower and lower guys. And then we've had in the past a record of 78.
78 doesn't even feel like
Like, much, really, right?
Especially around this time of year, we would have.
Appreciate it.
But that is what's going to be setting our records now
if we start getting some of those 70s.
And that was back in 1901.
Now, waking up in the morning,
it was around 41 degrees for a low temperature.
And we will be back in the 40s again tonight,
especially for some of those inland areas.
Now, we do have daylight saving to end.
That is great. This couldn't have happened on a better weekend
considering a lot of people have not gotten a lot of sleep. Well,
don't forget to set your clocks back for an hour on Saturday night.
You will gain an hour of sleep. So this is all worth it.
All the celebrating is worth it,
especially to end the weekend with an extra hour of sleep.
Looking at our conditions right now,
we're at 52 degrees here in Milwaukee.
Our dew points are right at 46,
so they've started to bump up a little more.
We were a little bit lower yesterday in the 30s,
now in the 40s, but that's still on the lower side.
Pleasant outdoors.
Wind is from the east at 6 miles per hour. We did have more of a breeze
that took place as well when that cold front moved through.
That breeze really won't pick back up at this point until Tuesday.
Looking at our temperatures here across southeast Wisconsin,
we're seeing 40s, 44 in Fond du Lac, 49 in Juneau, 46 in West Bend,
and then 41 in Sheboygan. Everybody else in the 50s.
How long will we stay in the 50s, you wonder, right?
Well, some of those areas in the 50s will stay steady in the 50s,
especially areas lakeside here.
From Milwaukee down to Kenosha, but some of our inland areas
could start to flirt with those 40s at least after midnight.
Looking at those temperatures
and how they changed over the last 24 hours,
we've seen a lot of different changes where some areas
are warmer, some areas are cooler.
Starting with our cooler area, that is Sheboygan.
About 9 degrees cooler today than what they were yesterday.
Milwaukee's on the cooler side today versus inland.
You look at Madison there, 7 degrees warmer today.
Watertown, about 8 degrees warmer.
Looking at those temperatures and how they trend throughout tonight,
This is specifically for Milwaukee with our temperature trend.
Even after midnight, looking to kind of stay in the 50s.
Still going to be a rather chilly night,
so make sure you have those layers going out the door
and waking up tomorrow morning.
Looking at our satellite and radar.
We are nice and dry across southeast Wisconsin,
but we do have a few little spots that we have to keep our eyes on.
No severe weather expected, just some
scattered showers kind of passing through.
Looking at our Sky Vision Plus, I'll let you know when all that ends.
Not going to end tonight, though.
We continue throughout the night into Saturday.
We will continue with this pattern of scattered showers.
It is going to be a pretty soggy day for a Saturday.
More on the spooky side for Halloween, too, right?
But it's way better than snow, I'll tell you that.
We will have some dry time,
so it will be some breaks in between all of this.
This rain where you will have dry time to kind of enjoy Halloween
and then as we head towards the end of the day on Saturday going
into Sunday, we are still looking to be pretty dry.
Models right now are putting out more showers for Sunday,
but I do believe that Sunday is going to be mainly mostly cloudy for us
and then we may have a sprinkle or two.
Most of that rain returns Monday night into Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday where we're back in the 60s.
So keep that umbrella close because you will need it not just
for Saturday, but also for next week. Over to you, Bill.
And there's
no doubt just
a few beers were
consumed today.
They are the brewers after all.
There was one special guest at the rally before the team came out,
and he gave a special shout-out to the fans who were in St. Petersburg.
In three days, they sold out one month of beer supply in Florida
because of you guys.
That is an impressive stat.
How crazy was it down there in Tampa?
The Brewers also did a very Midwest nice thing.
They let them win one game.
So that was good.
That was good.
Oh, it was crazy down there.
They had a $130 steak.
You can just hear every Midwest dad going, no, you're not getting that.
Are you kidding me?
We got the backstraps at home.
What the heck is...
Oh, and what was going on with that mound?
The mound, you know, down there and forward.
The mound, it crumbled under...
The Miz has such a great pitch.
It crumbled underneath them.
It crumbled faster than the Cubs' chance in the playoffs.
It was wild.
And hey, look who else was in the parade today.
One call, that's all.
Milwaukee legend David Gruber, and of course,
very big sponsor and supporter of Wisconsin sports.
So many people in that parade,
and many considered him a very likely candidate for a World Series MVP.
Maybe, maybe not, but who knows.
Coming up next, our Sam Kramer speaks exclusively with
Brewers reliever Aaron Ashby aboard the parade bus,
what this title means for him and for the Cream City.
Coffee and the other?
That's it.
That's it.
That's the combination.
Yeah.
Going down Wisconsin Avenue, your World Series champs.
What are you feeling, Aaron?
This is one of the coolest things I've ever done in my entire life.
We got beers flying over.
Oh, my God.
These fans.
This is unbelievable.
This is awesome.
This is awesome.
There are people saying you could basically
be MVP with the month of October that you had.
To go from where you guys started.
Best regular season in franchise history,
you've got to get the postseason monkey off your back to confetti
and basically two straight days of celebration.
What's this mean to you?
This is so special to be able to,
this is this entire city and state championship.
It's not like everyone shares a part in this and that's what makes it
so special for this city and seeing how much it means to them.
The streets are packed from the center lines to the buildings
and this is incredibly special.
Amazing for these fans.
I was going to say, you guys with the top
seed and taking care of business,
you won and clinched everything on the road.
So to have this here now, what are you feeling?
Yeah, that's the only,
you always want to take care of business as fast as you can.
But to be able to come back and share this with the fans,
I can only imagine how crazy it would have
been if we had a game six or seven here.
Yeah, just to be able to celebrate it with them is incredible.
And then lastly, tell me about Lambeau last night.
What was that like?
Like, that, we...
I had no idea.
I had no idea that place got that crazy.
When we walked in there and were in the end zone
and did the Lambeau leap,
that was an incredible moment.
So certainly just enjoying every moment we can right now.
