Today I will show you how to make ladybug sandwiches, its such a fun food for kids or even for adults. These are my favorite sandwiches in the world! You can change up the sandwich filling and ideas are endless. Its a fun way of serving the sandwiches at your dinner parties and for your kids.
Hi guys and welcome to my YouTube channel.
Today I'll show you how to make a Russian or Latvian Butcher Brodyky,
which is like mini sandwiches that I used to eat
when I was a kid and I used to love them.
And what I'm doing now is actually making them
with a ladybug out of vegetables
so your kids can have fun and you can have fun
and they look absolutely cute.
So today I'll show you how to do them.
The ingredients you're going to be needing are the following.
I'm using about 8 slices of ciabatta bread.
Now you can use any bread you have or like.
You can use baguettes, you can use paninis.
Anything you have in your kitchen.
Here I've got about 150 grams of kielbasa,
which is a Russian pork sausage.
You can use any other sausage or pork meat you want.
I've got about 100 grams of cheddar cheese,
4 cherry tomatoes, 6 black olives.
This is to decorate it at the end.
1 tablespoon of mayonnaise and 3 cloves of garlic.
Okay, so I've put my mayonnaise into a separate bowl,
and I've crushed my garlic into very thin,
use a garlic crusher if you can, or chop it very thinly,
and now we're just going to grate on a larger grater again,
all our cheese into this bowl, and then mix it all together.
Okay, so I've buttered my toasties, you don't have to do that,
but it tastes a lot, lot better, and now I've got my kielbasa,
and I'm going to put it on here, you can put a bit more if you want to,
depending on how much meat you like.
And now I'm going to put my mixture,
so this is grated cheese with garlic and mayonnaise
on top.
Okay, all done.
My butter bratiki are ready.
And now I'm just going to put them
in the grill until the cheese melts and starts to
brown.
If you do have a microwave,
I would suggest you use that because it's a lot, lot quicker.
I just don't have a microwave.
And then once they're done, I'm going to decorate it in the ladybugs.
Okay.
Okay, so we take our cherry tomato,
cut it in half, that's our base for the ladybug.
We take our olive, cut it in quarters,
like that, and this is going to be the head.
And then we do a cut in the middle, it's the bottom here.
And then we're going to chop small pieces of black olive
and put that on top to make it look like little dots there.
It's a lovely toasted bread, melted cheese,
smells garlicky, mini ladybugs on top.
I've put a bit of dill as well
to make it look like they're on the grass.
So, um.
Now, I don't know about you, but I think these are perfect
to serve for your dinner party or for your kids.
They look fun, you want to eat them and they're so cute.
