We are very excited to meet everyone.
You still have time to come out.
It's a little warm and muggy, but that's OK.
We're hoping TJ Springer is going to fix it for us.
Come on, TJ.
There's some sun out here, at the very least.
I'm loving it
Thanks, guys.
I know I'm happy we have the sun.
I wish it was a little more refreshing.
We've had some fall-like feels, and of course,
For so many of us outside today,
whether it be for making strides or for trick-or-treating
later, it's not as refreshing.
We can see a few showers out there on storm tracker radar,
but the good news is we are
dry in downtown Orlando as we continue
to talk about this huge fight against breast
cancer and making strides.
So happy that we're a part of it today,
and we're with you in spirit as we continue to
bring you all the coverage.
From Lake Eola now today we are expecting temperatures
to warm up like we did yesterday.
So it is going to be a more dare I say summer like late summer like
a Halloween for us as temperatures get back
into the middle 80s around Orlando. A little cooler
on the coast around 81 in Daytona Palm Coast. But either way.
Warmer than average and certainly muggy out there.
And that trend continues tonight.
You could see a few showers, maybe a rumble of thunder
or two with temperatures falling back into the lower to middle 70s.
But lower 70s for the most part,
the farther you get away from the East Coast.
Now, as you're trick-or-treating,
you can see chances are still low, only around 30%.
So for the most part,
I'm thinking overall a dry trick-or-treating forecast.
But we can't rule out a stray shower or storm or two.
Temperatures do fall back into the middle of 70s through 9 o'clock.
So if you are getting out tonight,
maybe check the radar and maybe smart to,
if you're parking the car and heading out,
maybe bring the umbrella just in case,
just to be safe.
Don't want to get those costumes wet.
As you're out there, taking you through time,
we'll see that here with Futurecast, at least
the chances anyway with our Fox weather model.
Some spotty showers possible as we head closer
to 2 o'clock, but you can see they're quick
moving like we have been seeing from the east
to the west across the peninsula, holding
on to that slim chance through the...
Later evening hours and then through the overnight, same story.
But tomorrow, a disturbance is going
to dive our way from the northwest.
And with that, our rain chances start to increase.
So more numerous showers and thunderstorms tomorrow.
I'd say more showers and storms.
Not a complete washout, but grayer.
Gloomy and wetter as a whole across Central Florida.
Now, that's not the only system we are tracking.
I fast-forwarded the calendar to this upcoming Thursday.
And this front looks a little stronger.
You've heard us talk about what El Nino
is going to bring us this season.
And it looks like we could kind of see the beginnings of it here
as this storm system comes across the nation.
Not quite as far south, but either way,
a cold front brings the chance for showers
and thunderstorms on Thursday.
And then we start to see that cooler,
drier air taking over as we head through next weekend.
So it looks like more refreshing,
a little cooler and certainly comfier
as we head through the latter half of
our Fox 35,
seven day forecast.
But today we're going to hold onto
that slim chance for a few showers and
thunderstorms,
much higher Sunday and Monday.
Now,
if you're getting out and voting,
you can see a 40% chance of storms there,
but then looking a little drier as we head into mid weekend.
But I have to say,
I'm happy that at least for now,
things are dry and bright out there at Lake Eola.
You and I both, TJ.
Thank you, Jay.
