My Van Is About to Become ILLEGAL... So I'm Fixing It | Vanlife ALONE [ep 38]

My van is currently legal to drive, it comes in just under 3.5 tonnes. But I have to be really careful about payload, if I added anything extra or carried passengers, there's a real chance I could tip over the limit. That's exactly why I've decided to move forward with this upgrade now, rather than wait until it becomes a problem. With battery upgrades and other heavier additions planned later this year, I knew I'd eventually run out of headroom and not be able to carry anything extra, bikes, gear, you name it, or anyone travelling with me. So I knew the time would come to upgrade the air suspension and start the process of uprating the van to 4.5 tonnes.
This video covers the first step in that, fitting the rear air suspension. There'll be more videos following on from this over the next couple of months, covering the rest of the weight upgrade, before I head back up to Scotland at the end of September. As always, thanks for watching! :)
