You decide 2026, four familiar faces make their final push
to win over Georgia voters before election day.
Republican candidate for governor Rick Jackson
was in Forsyth County this evening rallying supporters.
Fox 5's Annie Mapp is live in Atlanta with the details. Annie.
Good evening. Dozens of people showed up
to coming to support Rick Jackson.
Their hope is that he will be next to lead the state of Georgia.
Wilson held his final campaign rally in Forsyth County Sunday night.
We're just, you know, hopeful that he can turn out a win.
He was surrounded by supporters,
including his wife and son, who both spoke at the event.
We also heard from several other Georgia Republican leaders
as the campaign enters its final days.
Billionaire health care executive and political newcomer is promising
to cut Georgia's state income tax in half and freeze property taxes.
We'll build on the things that brought opportunity here
and get after the challenges still holding families back.
He's running against Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms,
the former Atlanta mayor who has focused her campaign on affordability,
health care and housing.
The two candidates are offering different approaches
to the state's economy and cost of living as they compete
to succeed term-limited Governor Brian Kemp.
She had a chance to lead.
She had a chance to show what she does
when people are counting on her, and we saw it.
We cannot let her do to Georgia what she did to Atlanta,
because there is one simple truth.
She cannot campaign her way around.
Bad mayors don't make good governors.
And Jackson's campaign tells us he will be back on the road tomorrow
for a get out to vote tour where he will make stops
in places like Augusta, Albany and Perry.
On election night, we're told he will be in Sandy Springs.
Reporting live in Atlanta, Annie Mapp, Fox 5 News. That's right.
Voters have a lot to decide. Thank you very much, Annie.
