Click 'show more' for full video description / pinned comment with important links. https://www.filterpro.co.uk - [email protected] - 07772848730 (Richard) I will never ask you to donate to the channel, I have nothing locked in a 'members only' section, no begging links but if you have a spare couple of minutes and have used Biohome filter media or FilterPro.co.uk please leave us a review here: https://g.page/r/CeoTgGNTeVWREAE/review It really means a lot since our business built on a value-for-value model and the more information you can include in a review the better it will be for someone new to the reality of a true full nitrogen cycle.
The Biohome Aquarium Back Panels are designed to help you achieve a 'living wall' whether that be via planting or fixing corals to it. Since the panels are made of Biohome filter media they are porous and support aerobic and anaerobic bacteria - helping you to achieve a full nitrogen cycle (natural reduction in nitrate even with no plants in the system). The panels are very much at the prototype stage but we are looking for people to test them long term in small tanks - get in touch if you are interested. All we ask is that you provide us with honest thoughts, photos and ideally short videos. Ideally we want to send test products to people who have a decent social media presence so their thoughts can be shared honestly with others. [email protected] If you have any further suggestions / ideas then we are very willing to listen.
*Water conditioners? Some help, some harm* I made a video on this subject ages ago but very few people listen... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YCtMYZQlig&t=6s The water conditioner I recommend: https://geni.us/vzqUMu Do. Not. Use. Seachem 'Prime'. Seachem Prime and similar products which mess with the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate actively starve the bacteria and prevent a full cycle (natural reduction in nitrate through bacterial processes). You will then be tricked into relying on other (unnecessary) products and large regular water changes to keep the water 'right' - doing so demonstrates a catastrophic ignorance of aquarium filtration and Natural systems but that is all that is promoted by (paid-for) online 'influencers'. Remember, they get paid every time someone buys a 'treatment' they don't need ..... surely it is better to make sure that the filter is as efficient as possible and the environment is tailored to the needs of the fish from day one? The link below explains the situation fully so feel free to share it anywhere online even if you copy and past it to pass off as your own thoughts - I don't mind as long as the information gets out there.
*Very important post* Our understanding (or lack thereof) of Nature is why aquarium filtration and the general Natural system either prospers or fails: https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxQR8CbpF8GxMbWmhjBk88kKKngpvo6d3G When it comes to setting up aquarium systems and aquatic environments one way results in less ongoing costs, less maintenance, happier fish and happier you. The other way results in a constant battle to keep the water 'right', massive weekly water changes and causes stress to the fish and you. It also results in you being bled dry by companies selling chemicals you don't need in a battle to keep the fish happy. Guess which one is promoted everywhere .... yup.
Thanks for watching and feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions regarding tank set-up and filtration. Answering emails, phone calls and replying to questions will always be free. [email protected] (Richard) 07772848730

These are experimental back panels for your tank.
They're basically made of a bio-home material
in various colours and patterns and so on,
with a backboard on, plastic backboard.
You just stick them to the back of your tank.
Now imagine if you can, that, or numerous of those, in a marine tank.
All sorts, corals, grown out of here.
It'll be like the side of a deep rock pool.
Or if you've got a tropical tank.
Ferns growing out of there, moss colonising it,
shrimps crawling all over it,
plecs eating all the moss.
There's another one,
that one's a little bit flatter.
As I say these are just prototypes
and in this video I really am just fishing for your thoughts,
so if you could put those in the comment section
that would be much appreciated,
because we don't want to make something that you guys don't want.
Yeah I think this one is my personal favourite,
it's almost like tree bark that one, beautiful.
Just imagine that with a down light on it as well,
you get all these little shadows being cast here,
plants growing out of it. Oh, or a marine tank,
the water shimmering, corals just pulsing on the side
of there. Absolutely beautiful.
And we can make these more or less any size within reason,
obviously not like six foot by two foot,
but we can make them a little bit bigger than this.
The only problem is the transport of them.
That's why we're having to put the plastic backs
on and pack them really, really well for transport.
We've been sending them backwards
and forwards through the Royal Mail, UPS, Parcel Force,
and we've had reasonable success.
So we're still tweaking the actual packaging for shipping
because we don't want to make something
that isn't going to survive the shipping process.
So what do you think? Do you think it's got legs?
Would you be interested in trialling some of these in a small tank?
Letting us know how you get on.
Ideally someone with shrimps, plex or a marine tank. That'll be
absolutely perfect.
If you want to test these please let me know.
My email is along the bottom
there. It'll also be in the video description
and in the pinned comment. Let me know what you think
and whether that's the sort of thing you could use
in your tank to trial it for us. I really like it.
I think it's great but I don't want to sway
your decision. If you think it's crap
Just tell us in the comment section.
That's what that section's there for.
Especially when we've got prototype products.
We want to hear from you guys
as to whether these are any good
or whether you think they're no good.
No idea on prices yet.
We're just looking into whether you would actually want them.
If you do want them
and you've got a small tank,
you want to fix one of these to the back of,
test it for us over a period of months,
just let us know and we'll make it happen.
Now, just like the breeding caves,
These backgrounds will
also count towards the filtration in your tank as well because they're
made from the porous bio home filter material
which supports aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
So you've basically got a living wall on the back
of your tank whether it's planted up or
corralled up or not that will only enhance it.
Even without that, even just with a bare wall
With the BioHome material,
you're still going to get a filter and effect from it.
So there you go. There's yet another product for you guys to judge.
We're just throwing the idea out there.
Let us know what you think in the comment section.
That's what it's there for.
Feel free to share this video wherever you want. Cut it up.
Put it on your own channel if you want. I don't care.
As long as we get the idea out there, that's all that matters.
Thanks very much for watching.
I shall see you next time, and if you're wanting any of the
bio home caves
In various sizes, shapes and colours.
The link below filterpro.co.uk
and also the links in the video description and in the pinned
comment because we're sending some of those out
to international distributors. Thanks again.
