Jacob, you mentioned the Chiefs.
This is two straight now that they've dropped.
I know they have to go up to Denver, a very tough place to play.
And they had a lead, and they couldn't hold the lead.
I mean, that's something that championship football teams do.
They put teams away.
Concerns on that, especially late in that ball game.
Denver was able to rally, come back, and win there.
I mean, Bo Nix, as we said, he's not really anybody special.
But the play caller on the other side.
He's a special play caller in Sean Payton.
What was your takeaway with that game?
Yeah. My main take on the Broncos side of it.
My main takeaway is Bo Nix can function as a game
manager and he'll occasionally make
those like high end plays where like, Oh, he threw on the
run, made a nice throw. Like he's not going
to beat you with spectacular plays all the time,
but because that team is so well coached and has a good defense,
the Broncos are just going to be
a tough and pesky team to beat.
You really don't want them to get that home field advantage in
Denver too. Cause it is so hard to win there
for the Chiefs side of this. I'm looking at this,
These last two wins have something very much in common.
Kenneth Walker has been bottled up by the Seahawks
and the Broncos more so than he was
early in the season. Now, that's not to say that he
was completely stymied this week against the
Broncos, but I think teams are proving and saying,
hey, if we take away Kenneth Walker
and make Patrick Mahomes have to beat us
with the receiving core he has, Mahomes is still capable
of doing that, but just not at the same consistent level we saw early
in his career. So I firmly
expect that Mahomes is going to continue to perform well
and keep the Chiefs competitive, but
If the game falls entirely on that passing game,
they just don't have the horses at receiver and tight end.
You know, Kelsey's still good at this point,
but he's not the same high-end option he once was.
They just don't have the horses needed to win games like that
consistently against top-tier talent.
