It took all of one play for Lamar Jackson,
not because of an ankle, but because of a thumb
injury to wrap up his season here.
And then it didn't get any better from there in the quarterback
room with Snoop Huntley.
So what is the, what did we see in that game and why was the injury
so significant? Well, craziness, right?
We've all been waiting for him to come back and he comes back
And the first play, we don't even get to see his ankle.
We don't even get to see him move.
And he follows through on Greg Rousseau, hits his thumb, throwing hand,
and the deformity was obvious.
We talked about it on Twitter or X maybe.
The athletic trainer covered it with a towel,
and that's a fracture slash dislocation.
This is why surgery, that's why we rule them out immediately.
Look, if you can't grip it, you can't spin the ball,
you can't play quarterback with a throwing hand thumb injury,
as we've seen with Baker and other players recently, et cetera.
And then.
Tyler Huntley goes down, and by video, there's no official word yet.
This is not a mild turf toe.
This is going to be a significant turf toe.
At this point, there's no question he's not playing on Thursday.
We all know that.
But I'd be surprised if he doesn't get put on injured reserve
and you're out Tyler Huntley for four weeks.
Does Lamar Jackson have a chance to come back this season?
A chance, but, you know,
why come back if the Ravens are out of it, right?
I mean, by the end of the season,
he's got a chance to come back week 17, week 18 or something like that.
Maybe, but it just seems a little bit unlikely
from a practical standpoint.
