James Coughlin, World News Report, today. Army football player pulls man from burning car. We do have two videos. A West Point football player has been heralded as a hero for running towards a burning car to rescue the driver moments before the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The United States Military Academy posted on its Facebook page Sunday night. U.S.M.A. is proud of the heroic actions taken Saturday night by Cadet Larry Pickett, Jr., a second-year West Point cadet and Army West Point football player, and his father, Larry Pickett, Sr., who is seen pulling a driver to safety in a video online taken by the family. Running towards danger to save lives is the embroiderment. Of the Army Values and Warrior Ethics, football player Larry Pickett saved a man from a burning vehicle in Fort Montgomery last night. Please notice the electric wire strung across the streets and all over the car. This was the real hazard here that they just, well, had the bravery to ignore. the car went up in flames just after they pulled the victim out folks and well let's just say that uh larry reacted uh the same way he acted but with nothing but class how do you feel about all this i'm just i was just thinking i'm just grateful that that we got him out honestly because i i really don't think that anybody else was that because when we pulled up there's already somebody standing there but they saw the electric wire and i don't think that they wanted to go get Quebec could have gone a totally different direction. I'm thankful, honestly. That could have been really bad for him and his family. Look at that. I was just about to say, look. We have a fire in there. And that was the problem. I don't think this was him being ignorant. I think this was him and his father being heroes. Period. God bless you, too. I hope the victim thanks y'all to death.
