Scale of Israeli assault emerges in Hebron

We're in Hebron in front of one of the homes of the two attackers who killed two Israeli soldiers right before this 10-day assault on Hebron. Now, the family members and the relatives of Ahmad al-Jabi have been cleaning up since the early hours of the day. This is a traumatic experience for them. They had to leave their home. They came back. They saw what the Israeli soldiers left behind. They saw their homes full of debris. A lot of things were destroyed. The Palestinian flag and anything in their home that was related to Palestine, they told me, was left. Thank you very much. across Palestine. There are all sorts of initiatives to help people clean up their homes, repair some of the windows, to organize cooking so that they could have lunch while they're doing all this labor to recover whatever they can from their destroyed homes. So Hebron has begun the recovery efforts. How much it can recover economically is a whole different question because at the gates of Hebron, Those gates are still closed. Economic life is still running at snail pace. The reality of occupation continues.
