Hi and welcome back to AFTV.
I've got my boy Josh in the building.
And Josh, Liverpool 0, Arsenal 1.
How good does that sound?
Finally, I don't, how many years?
I thought he was going to say something else.
No, no, I sense it for the children.
But no, so many years, 14 years,
like that was almost as bad as us going
and not winning the league for like 22 years.
I needed a win at Anfield every year, every year.
I look at AGT in the face, yeah,
and I say, this is going to be the year.
This is going to be the year.
And because we came so close in the last few years,
But it was draws, draws, draws.
The, um...
What's it called?
Zinchenko, Nutmeg, Trent, and then they draw.
The Szoboszlai free kick at the end.
The Szoboszlai free kick.
Do you know what I'm saying?
And that was it.
So we lost last year.
So last year was annoying
because it was like we hadn't lost there for so long.
But then we lost.
But now, now is the time in all your faces, especially FJ.
FJ.
I'll get you in a minute, mate.
No, man, I mean, where do we start?
I mean, let's talk about Kai Abbot.
Because in the week, he was getting a lot of stick.
And listen, you know, let's be fair.
He was crap.
He was poor.
He was poor.
But I did say to somebody today, I goes, you know how things work.
You'll probably score today.
And he did.
And wow.
Both you and I predicted him to score at the beginning of the game.
Because don't get it twisted.
After that last game, him and Jokers, I was like, no, I don't care.
Play Marino.
I don't care.
I don't want to see these men again.
They're annoying me.
But fair play to him.
He got the goal.
I wouldn't give him man of the match or anything
because he scored and it was at the beginning of the game.
And while he was still good defensively in moments
and he was nowhere near as poor as he was.
He wasn't amazing.
He wasn't the best man on the pitch.
Unlike man like Dekkers with the Tekkers.
Oh, man.
This guy today.
Declan Rice today, man.
I mean, wow.
Wow, what?
Amazing.
Elite.
I'm running out of superlatives.
Yeah.
The human thesaurus.
Yeah.
He was elite today, defensively, going forward,
being wherever he needs to be, challenging for second balls,
everything that you needed your midfielder
to do, Declan Rice was doing today.
He said today, he went, hey, do you know who I am?
You know, he put out that ad with the running glasses.
Yeah, that was practice for today.
Yeah, he was, need to get my stamina up, man,
because Anfield, I'm going to be running the place, fam.
Amazing. And we should also talk about the defenders today,
because I thought Konza and Gabriel today, again, amazing.
Yeah, Konza, this guy, like, I keep hearing everyone saying now,
like, do you even think about Saliba missing?
Do you know what I'm saying?
Now, this is a case where I'm going, oh, Saliba, don't get twisted.
Saliba, he doesn't walk straight back in.
Yeah, he's going to have to earn back his place
because Konza's earned the right to be the starting centre-back.
Do you know what I'm saying?
You know what?
I'll be interested to hear your thoughts now.
I was chatting to my guy, Stricto.
Shout out to Stricto.
He's saying, and he's saying it unequivocally,
that Konza is the best signing of the season
so far in the Premier League.
Well, this season is the best signing so far.
I'm just Rolodexing the other teams.
If you don't know what a Rolodex is...
No, I'm joking.
I'm joking.
I think that's a shout right now.
It is a shout.
Because attacking-wise, are we looking at anyone and going,
oh, they've been the most amazing?
Not that I can think of off the top of my head.
And other people that are having good seasons
are people that have already been signed,
not new signings.
And I think this guy's come in and he's
been absolutely elite from day dot.
It's literally like, you know
when you just want to buy a player and you go,
they're Premier League proven and they slot in and then it just works.
I feel like we haven't really got that with Bruno G yet.
Do you know what I'm saying?
But with Konza, he's stepped in and just been immense.
And tell me what you think of the significance of this win,
because to me...
This was a seismic moment in the season.
It wasn't just beating Liverpool
at Anfield for the first time in 14 years.
By doing so, we've gone top of the table.
And Josh, you can't have not noticed how the players and the manager
were celebrating that win after that game.
They were hungry for it.
And that's what I wanted.
Hunger.
Remember before the game, I said,
you lot, whoever, I think Marty asked,
would you take a draw?
Guaranteeing a draw.
And I said, no.
I want the win.
Go and get the win, because it's saying something.
You're saying, we're the champions.
All the other times when you moved to us, we weren't champions.
Now we've come here, it's different.
We're going to play how champions play.
Do you see what I'm saying?
Don't get it wrong.
Liverpool were not bad.
As much as they didn't get any shots on target,
in the first half, they were putting wave after wave of pressure on us.
We weren't able to get out of our third.
We were losing the ball, doing bad passes and stuff like that.
Defensively, we were stopping them
from doing whatever they needed to do.
So after we rolled out that attack, got into half-time at 1-0, we went,
Oi, second half, lads, let's have a go for it.
Timber was even better in the second half than he was in the first.
Well, we created more chances in the second half than they did.
A hundred percent.
And I think Odegaard had an immense game.
He was complete engine, pressing,
going back because I said I didn't want to see him
too far back because I wanted to just get the ball and make plays
and break up the lines and stuff like that.
We needed him to do that.
And he got back and he done.
He was everywhere he needed to be.
He was excellent today.
Thank you very much.
Ah, I forgot about this one guy, the disgrace, the cheat, McAllister.
Oh, my days.
No, no, no.
McAllister, you're an absolute disgrace.
You're a cheat.
I hope your team gets relegated.
No, no, no.
This guy, this guy, yeah, for one, he slapped Martin Odegaard
in the back of the head when he was on the floor.
Yeah, yeah, I saw that.
That's what I reckon he got booked for.
I don't know because we didn't have the commentary on or whatever.
He slapped him in the back of the head.
Then he was looking for the headbutt.
I forget who it was before he went to Nani,
but it was someone else before him.
He was basically stepping to him
and trying to get the contact so he could go down.
You are an absolute disgrace.
Yeah, you should be ashamed of yourself.
McAllister, return of the mat.
Get this guy out of here.
Get him out of here.
Yeah, that was so poor.
That was so poor, man.
Just go to Man City, fam.
That was disgraceful.
That was so poor.
And do you know what it was?
This is why it shows that we're different.
Because they were trying to make Xhaka part two.
Yeah, remember when Xhaka got them riled up
and then you get the cop on and they're all like,
but it didn't work.
It did not.
It didn't work.
And that goes to show we are not the same Arsenal as before.
This is champion settings, yeah?
Champions, FJ.
Yeah, you see when you defended your league, you didn't even defend it.
You basically just gave it to us, yeah?
Terrible.
Get your notepad out tomorrow, FJ.
Get your notepad out!
Verts! Where was he?
Hit the crossbar once and didn't do nothing!
Hurts when you support Verts. He's rubbish!
Rubbish!
Get him out of the Premier League, yeah?
I tell you, FJ, tomorrow
live at 5. I'm coming for
you, bro. I'm coming for you. Be ready!
Get your notepad! I wanna see the notes!
You're an absolute disgrace! You're a cheat!
God!
Couldn't put it any better myself.
That was Josh from AFTV and we're signing out.
