All right. I've made it to the weather center because we
are closely watching when we're going to see the falling temperatures
and when we're going to see the rain on this election day.
So rain coming our way. Lunchtime today.
Well, lunchtime for us is early.
Regular lunch, midday, noontime,
and then the cooler air comes in late afternoon, and
especially into this evening, as soon
as the sun goes down, it's really going to feel like
a whoosh of some cooler air coming in.
Ooh, I like it when we get the actual whoosh.
Yes, I like that, I like that too.
So here's a look, a stormy election day does lie ahead for us,
with just about everybody
getting in on rain.
Beginning around late morning
and extending through the middle part of the afternoon,
the rain is expected to shift
to the coastal counties coming up during the late part of the
afternoon, and that will all cool off really nicely.
So beginning of the election day and
end of the election day are looking pretty good,
but it's just that middle part, several hours
from mid-morning through mid-afternoon
that are not looking too great. It's warm this morning,
but it's quiet. We don't really have any rain across
the area currently. We will have rain
approaching the College Station area before very long,
and this is a look at the Futurecast
This is just one model, one of our other short-term models
is like a little bit more aggressive with some of the heavy rain,
but this one is no picnic either.
Notice what it's showing by noontime today, temperatures falling
into the 60s in rainy areas and rising into the 80s.
In areas to the south of I-10 where it isn't raining,
everybody should fall into the 70s by the late part of the day today.
And overall, some locations could pick up maybe two
or three inches of rain in some of the heavier spots.
This is where the rain is right now, so this isn't the Futurecast.
This is the current radar, and it hasn't made it to our area per se,
but it is getting closer to places like Somerville and Bryan
College Station over the next maybe hour, hour and a half or so.
This is the excessive rain outlook, so pretty much,
you know, where could we see rain that's enough to,
To produce some street flooding, things like that.
And it is mainly from Houston and Katy northward is where it
looks like there's going to be the most energy in the atmosphere.
So a hefty rain chance today with the FOX 26.
What's the name of the station?
The Fox 26 Storm Alert Day today.
Tomorrow looks great.
We're going to be heading into work
tomorrow with temperatures in the 50s
and then make it into the sunny mid-70s tomorrow.
And then after a brief round of showers on Thursday,
right back down to the 50s in the morning
and 70s during the day on Friday.
Love it.
All right, the rain is definitely a welcome sight,
but just wish it was another day, right?
Well, that's the way things work in Houston.
Any special day, any holiday, anything like that is always stormy.
It seems that way.
