Action News reporter Brianna Gallagher has more now
on the disturbing allegations against him tonight.
Dr. Cech has been practicing for decades.
For some families, he's been a generational doctor.
I spoke with several women tonight who are in disbelief.
They got emotional. One woman even has an appointment later this month.
She's not sure what she's going to do. These women,
they are crediting him for either starting or growing their families.
I transferred two of them.
In January of 2025, and one of them stuck,
and he's sitting right next to me.
The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office announced
charges against 80-year-old Dr. Jerome Cech today.
He's accused of sexually assaulting three patients.
It's disappointing to hear this.
Authorities say the alleged assault took place at his office
in Mount Laurel between December of 2024 and March of 2025,
and occurred during appointments
when Cech was alone in exam rooms with patients.
Two of which victims told investigators
were supposed to be consultations.
It may be the same physical examination.
That these women are talking about, I found nothing wrong with it.
Patients we talked to have seen him at his office
in Mount Laurel and in Elkins Park.
Now he's, is my fertility guru.
I've gone to other clinics and Dr. Cech, whatever he did for me worked.
Cech was affiliated with Cooper until now.
They said his affiliations at Cooper Northcross Health have
been suspended effective immediately.
For years, he's been recognized as best doctor, top docs for women.
In 2008, Action News spoke with him about fertility practices.
Tremendously positive. I trust him. I sent countless women to him.
Women who travel hours, some crossing state lines.
One who was scheduled to see him November 16th.
Now, she's not sure what's next.
What I say may not change anything,
but I want to thank Dr. Cech for it.
From like I said, making my dreams come true.
Now we called the office here and they declined
to comment. Investigators,
they do believe that there may be more victims. They're asking anyone
who may have any information to please contact them.
