Here is a quick review of LanaMundi's Silver Spun yarn -- the yarn with actual silver in it! This lightweight yarn is made from cotton, lycra and actual silver.
See how this yarn works up into a pattern and how well it works with your touchscreen devices in the video.

Okay, so, I'm doing a little review on the Silver Spun yarn.
You can see I've wound this one into a cake and I've used it,
but you can see the picture
with the actual hank, what it looks like.
This yarn is really cool because it has silver actually in it,
and that's why it's called
Silver Spun.
It's a cotton yarn, and it has 87% combed cotton,
11% silver, and 2% lycra.
Why I wanted to show you it already wound up
is because I wanted to show you how stretchy
this yarn is.
You can see, I'll just pull it from right here
so you can see how much it stretches.
It's almost like working with elastic thread.
So the lycra and the silver is already spun
in and it makes it super stretchy.
So it's really soft, stretchy, and warm yarn.
The website for the Silver Spun talks about how
Silver is a great heat conductor, so even though it's made of cotton,
it's going to keep your hands warm.
And then the other cool thing about this yarn
is that because it has silver in it,
not only does silver have medicinal properties,
but you can use it with your touchscreen devices.
So any iPhones or Samsung Galaxies, whatever you have,
you can make something out of this yarn.
And you'll see in just a second when I show you how it works,
and you'll still be able
to use your touchscreen devices without having
to take off whatever you're wearing.
So I made some gloves out of this,
and I'm going to show you those in a second.
You can see the pattern, or the picture of it right now,
where you can check out the
pattern for that on my website,
but I'm going to show you how they work with my phone.
Okay, so I'm going to show you how cool the Silver Spun yarn is.
So this is, um, these are both the same glove.
This one's made in just regular wool,
so you can see that if I try to turn on my phone
and I try to do anything on it,
the wool does absolutely nothing, just like we would expect
it to do.
Now the Silver Spun, with the silver built in,
as you can see, I can now do pretty much
anything.
My information and use my phone while wearing my gloves.
So that's one of the really cool things about the Silver Spun.
Let me show you the frog test next.
Okay, so I'm going to do the frog test now.
This yarn is really easy to wind off of the hank.
It was very nicely wrapped. It just had one tie that you could untie.
You didn't even have to cut anything, so it was really nice
and easy to use my swift and my yarn winder to work it.
Now we're going to check out how it works out when we frog it.
So what I like to do is I like to do a little swatch,
and then I just like to frog the project.
to see if it's going to catch
and I didn't think that this would because it's cotton
but sometimes maybe the silver
or whatever other contents in it might cause it to catch but as you
can see that this frogs easily
so if you are experimenting with a pattern you can use this
Um, yarn with no problem, and you'll be able to,
um, reuse it if you need to frog it.
It's not going to catch where you have to cut it.
So I'm really enjoying this yarn.
Um, it's a great, great yarn,
and I encourage everyone to go check out their website to,
um...
To see more about the silver and what the silver does for you.
So if you just go to, you can just search
Lana Mundi Yarns Silver Spun and it will pop
right up.
But if you've made any projects with this let me know below
and thank you for watching.
