2,000 people hit the polls on Election Day in SLO County

We have about 2,000 voters that have gone to the polls to vote so far this morning, so I am really excited. I'm so thrilled that our turnout is the way it is right now on Election Day, and I just hope that the momentum keeps going. Normally, we receive about 4,000 to 5,000 after an entire day of... And voting and so for it to only have been the polls only open for the last three hours. This is incredible that we already have 2000 voters out of the polls. I've seen so many different people coming out and volunteering like so many different age ranges. I've seen people I go to school with but I've also seen older people that you know I've never met before. People are coming by. You can like drive by, drop off your ballot and then we can take it over here. Here we have the box. Right there and then there's another like slot so people have been dropping off slots since before the polls even opened today. People are also able to go inside, they're able to register for SLO County. People are also able to go inside and if maybe they lost their ballot, if maybe they wrote something wrong, wrote the wrong name, did the wrong signature, something like that, they're able to go inside get everything fixed and get a new ballot which I think is super amazing because accidents happen all the time. Because we need to be involved in what's happening in our lives. And the ballot was pretty big this time. And so it took a little reading through to sort of figure out how I wanted to vote. But it's important for everyone to have a say in our democracy.
