Trump’s Big Midterm U-turn? “I Don’t Want to Veto Everything; I Will Work..." | Midterm Results

After major Republican setbacks in the US midterm elections, President Donald Trump is signalling that he is open to working with Democrats.

In an interview, Trump said he would be willing to do “anything good for the country” and added that he does not want to spend the next two years simply vetoing legislation. His remarks suggest a possible shift towards bipartisan deal-making as Democrats prepare to take control of the House.

Trump also sought to distance himself from the election outcome, saying he “wasn't on the ballot” and that he did not want to blame Republican candidates.

Can the White House and Democrats find common ground in a divided Washington?
