Jets Reveal HUGE Trade Update...
Nov 4, 2026
Video Summary
AI GeneratedDespite rumors and a 2-6 record, the New York Jets intend to keep star running back Breece Hall through the trade deadline. Head coach Aaron Glenn and internal reports indicate the team views Hall and Braelon Allen as a premier duo and has no current interest in trading Hall or Garrett Wilson, opting for stability over selling assets.
The New York Jets just revealed a huge trade report,
and the biggest news on a trade is
not a deal that's about to happen,
it's about a deal that's about to not happen.
And guys, Monday morning,
after a 38-33 loss to the Raiders dropped the Jets to 2-6, Aaron
Glenn walked up to the podium and got asked about one player,
his $45.75 million running
back.
Brees Hall has missed five straight games with a quad injury.
He deactivated his social media account after some cryptic posts,
and the trade deadline is next Tuesday, a week away on November 10th.
So Aaron Glenn answered, and he did not dodge it at all.
He said, quote,
Brees is still a part of this team.
Then, quote,
I've said it before.
We're in the business of keeping good players,
and he's one of our better players, so Brees will still be here.
That sounds like a case closed, but
There are three things in this report
that matter more than just Aaron Glenn's words,
and one of them is about a different Jet star
who is breaking out onto the scene.
Now, the first thing to notice here is that Aaron Glenn
was actually asked twice about this,
and the first answer was,
Brees will still be here.
Then a reporter asked if there was any scenario where Hall gets dealt,
and Glenn repeated himself saying,
we're in the process of keeping good players.
And that's a head coach's podium answer and not a contract.
Coaches say the right thing up until the phone rings,
and notice that the second answer was
keeping good players, not Brees is untouchable.
It's the same message, but the kind of phrase
you pick if you do want a little flexibility in case
of a trade where an offer comes up that just
cannot be denied, like what happened with Sauce Gardner.
But Glenn has been here before. Back in
October of 2025, when the Hall buzz was louder than ever,
he called the reports rumors and his
stance has not changed.
And Hall, he was never traded, even after it seemed like he really did
Did want to be traded a year ago.
And now, Hall helped feed it.
SNY said he posted some timely cryptic messages
on social media before he deactivated his account.
When a player does that in the middle of a season,
and especially in the middle of trade season,
people notice.
That's the noise that Aaron Glenn was talking about.
And then there's the contract.
Hall signed a three-year, $45.75 million extension in May.
That's about $15.25 million per year,
with a cap hit of $11.5 million this season,
$14.5 million next season, and
15.5 in 2028 the final year of his contract
and one of you saw this coming as NecroZak commented on
our Brees Hall trade video quote why would they trade him
when he just signed an extension and
That's a good question, NecroZak,
and according to SNY's Connor Hughes, the Jets are asking
it too.
And a quick thing before we get on,
we are at 8,136 subscribers at the time of me recording
this video, and the goal is 9,000 before the year ends.
If you want Jets coverage every day throughout
the deadline and the rest of the season, make

Now, here's the actual huge trade report part.
As SNY's Connor Hughes reports to the Jets at the time,
At this time, specifically,
have not had any serious internal discussions about moving Hall.
Not any at all.
They see him and Braylon Allen as one
of the best running back duos in the NFL,
and it's hard to argue with that.
And the way the Jets' TF media put Hughes' report, quote,
they love him as a one-two punch with Braylon Allen
and see him as a part of their future.
And it goes beyond Hall.
The expectation is that the Jets will
not be active in dealing players away
before next Tuesday's deadline like they were a year ago.
Last year, they dealt Sauce Gardner and Quinton Williams.
This year, a 2-6 team is expected to stand mostly still,
and that's unusual.
A 2-6 team usually sells.
The Jets are telling you that they're not sellers this year,
and even Garrett Wilson is off the table.
SNY says the team has expressed no interest in trading him,
and Wilson said last week he wants to remain with the organization
and has no plans to request a trade.
That doesn't mean other teams are encircling.
Jason LaCivita said today to keep an eye on the Pittsburgh Steelers,
who are 5-2.
He's told they're being, quote,
pretty ambitious behind the scenes
and would love to add another playmaker.
But also, with Aaron Rodgers once again, are we sure about that?
Interest from a buyer is not the same as a seller as well,
picking up the phone.
And right now, the Jets are not
But one of the main reasons
that this rumor won't die is because of
Braelon Allen, who has been awesome.
Against the Raiders,
Allen carried for 21 times for 147 yards and a touchdown.
That's seven yards per carry.
And since Hall went down, Allen has 504 yards and 95 carries.
5.4 per carry with two touchdowns.
And do the math on that.
94 carries over those five games is about 19 a game.
That's a real...
Lead back workload right here, not just a fill-in player.
And on the full 2026 season, here's Hall against Allen.
Hall is 54.3 rushing yards a game,
3.2 yards per carry in one touchdown,
while Allen is 70.6 rushing yards per game,
5 per carry in three touchdowns.
Hall has played in a lot fewer games,
so it's a small sample, but it isn't close.
Allen's been better, and some of you are saying this
and are saying it pretty loudly as EDS783 wrote.
The most we would get for Brees is a fourth-round pick,
and in my opinion, Brees is not worth his contract.
I think Allen has shown that he belongs in the league
and deserves a shot at being a number one back,
and CallMeNino said it even blunter,
quote,
Fair, but also LunarPizza3778 had
the most interesting version of the argument,
It was so much better if we use him as the big pass catcher back,
but we pay him like
a workhorse back.
That's one worth sitting with
because Allen has 17 catches on 21 yards this season
and Hall has 10 catches on 10 targets.
Brees is an excellent receiving back.
So there is a way to use both these guys together
and Hall's numbers this season are not good
and I'm not going to pretend they are,
but he's 25 years old
and he's 29 rushing yards away
from passing Bill Mathis for ninth all time
on the Jets rushing list.
And guys, the Jets best bet
is that they have two good backs
and that beats one.
When your offense is struggling,
that's not the worst bet in the world to have here.
And obviously, it is expected to be another losing season
for the New York Jets right here,
as right now they have a 43% chance on Kalshi
to win six or more games this season.
I do want to thank Kalshi for sponsoring this video,
because on Kalshi,
you're trained directly against other users.
Not the house like traditional sportsbooks.
You're buying yes or no contracts
on the outcomes of events across sports,
politics, and even the weather.
For example, the New York Jets to go ahead
and win six or more games this season,
which again, they have a 43% chance to do.
So you would be getting a nice payout on there
if you are to trade $25 on the Jets pulling that off.
And guys, if you're interested in trying out Kalshi,
make sure to go ahead and click the link in our description.
It's also in our pinned comment.
Here is the other reason why
don't expect the Jets to go
and move on from Brees Hall.
The market for Hall is not a good one right now.
Think about the buyer.
They'd be taking a running back
who's missed five straight games with a quad injury.
He's averaging 3.2 yards per carry this season
and he's on the books for $14.5 million
against the cap in 2027 and 15.5 in 2028.
Teams don't pay full price for that.
And the Jets, who are two and six,
have no reason to take a discount
on one of their best players.
It's like trying to sell a car you just filled up
and is serviced in May,
but now the check engine light is on.
The dealer's just going to lowball you,
and you'd be better off just driving it around anyway.
I mean, honestly, I'd drive with my check
engine light on and put him out.
But Glenn even acknowledged the noise.
I understand how the noise happens,
and when things like this, it happens.
And add up the injury, the contract,
and the fact that they extended him in May,
and trading him now means admitting a six-month-old decision was wrong.
Teams rarely do that at two and six
at the deadline unless somebody overpays.
And I like Brees. I think he's still really talented.
Remember, this is the same team that did trade
Sauce Gardner and Quinton Williams a year ago, though.
They're not shy about pulling the trigger.
Everyone's available for a certain price.
So when a front office says it's standing still,
that does certainly mean something.
And even though the trade rumors are here,
and they were here last year as well,
I expect that Hall gets through November 10th as a Jet.
If I'm the Jets, I'm not selling.
I'm not waiting. I'm keeping a good player.
But keeping him in November is not the same as keeping him forever.
If Allen keeps running at 5.4 per carry and Hall can't get healthy,
the same rumor comes back in the offseason.
And Glenn's answer will be a lot harder if he's even still around then.
And here's what I keep coming back to. You don't have to pick.
Glenn's whole pitch is that when both are healthy,
this is one of the best running back duos in the NFL.
We'll find out if that's true or not.
And two things to watch over the next couple of days are,
first, whether Hall's quad lets him get back on the practice field.
Second, whether the quiet deadline stays quiet.
If Garrett Wilson's name starts moving,
every promise gets regraded right here, but I don't think we will.
And also, to the comment of the day,
I do want to shout out Abel Wolf, who did say right here,
For sure, Keith Brees, we knew the Jets were going to suck this season.
Shoot, sit them down.
Get that new young gunslinger we have our eyes on
and release these young offensive Jets players.
We have tons of talent, and we'll get this right.
And I honestly agree right here with Albie Wolfe.
I think it is the right call.
But tell me, should the Jets keep Brees hauling,
let the duo run, or hand the backfield to Braylon Allen?
Hall or Allen?
