Hey everyone, it's Deja from CrochetEverAfter.com.
I'm just doing a little mini review on the
Clover Amour crochet hook.
If you read my blog, you know that I have been wanting to
buy these for quite a while
and I finally found a good deal on eBay and I snatched up
about six different sizes. I'm going to do a little...
side-by-side comparison of my favorite
clover hook which is the soft touch.
You'll see most of my videos are made with
these hooks.
These are both size E. You can see that the Amore is a little bit
lengthier.
The shaft has a little bit longer shaft.
Which can help you with stitches where you have
to put multiple loops on your hook, so
crochet togethers or bobbles, you know,
anything where you need a lot of loops, you're not
going to run out of room as quickly as you would with the soft touch.
The Amore is about a dollar more
on the Clover site than the Soft Touch hooks.
So far, I'm not sure if it's really worth it.
I like them, I love the colors,
but they're not super, you know, life-changing to me.
The rubber grip, it's an elastomer rubber,
which is from Clover's website, and it's a
It has a nice soft grip.
But I'm not sure how well it's going to hold up.
I don't know if it's going to get a weird texture after a while.
The hook does run all the way inside so it's rigid until you get
to about where the dot is and then the end of it will bend.
So, if my kids get a hold of this,
they might break the ends off of them, but we'll see
how well they hold up.
The size is engraved, not really engraved because it's rubber,
but it's imprinted on
the hook so you can find your sizes easily.
They're also color-coded, so if you remember,
pink is E, you can find it pretty quickly.
So far so good, I like crocheting with it.
It's a little bit heavier than the Soft Touch
but not enough to make a difference.
We'll see how well they hold up,
I'll do a review maybe in a month or so on how well
the rubber handles are holding up,
but so far so good, so if you want to try them out,
definitely go check out Clover website or look around Amazon,
eBay, they all have them.
And if you own them, let us know what you think,
leave some comments below, we'd love
to hear it, and yeah, thank you for checking this out!
