Video Summary
AI GeneratedFlorida is transitioning from unseasonably warm, humid November weather to a cooler fall pattern. After experiencing heat indices around 91°F, a cold front arriving Saturday morning will bring a significant drop in humidity and temperature, leading to highs in the 70s by early next week.
Feels like summer today, but Florida is finally going
to feel a little bit like fall this weekend.
A big cool front is coming in on Saturday.
And meteorologist Snow Bergeron is here to tell us all about it.
This is me, both cheering and warming up my hands for the cold weather.
Appropriate sound effects leading to that, yes.
Thank you very much.
Now, I don't know if we're going full out,
you know, sweatshirt hoodie weather,
but you'll probably be reaching for a long sleeve.
It ain't 86 and hot, so I'll take it.
It's how we're supposed to be, right?
Actually, today the heat index peaked at about 91 in some places.
It's too hot.
Yeah, it felt like summer.
For November here, yeah, that's pretty uncommon.
This time of the year tonight,
we've got a nice clear sky out there this time tomorrow.
We will have more clouds out there and maybe even a shower
or two coming on by. But for the most part,
this evening is going to stay pretty dry here around the Orlando area.
All right, so those morning lows over the next couple of days,
we're waking up to about 69 Friday, Saturday morning by Sunday morning,
64. Then by Tuesday morning next week, we're into about
the 63 range getting back closer to average and we'll continue that.
Trend down through next week.
Afternoon highs over the next couple.
86 tomorrow.
Average high is 80.
We'll be at 82 on Saturday.
80 on Sunday.
Then afternoon highs staying actually below average,
which we have not said a lot this year.
In the mid-70s, Monday, Tuesday and beyond.
of next week. All right, so the temperatures today,
very notable, very warm days.
I'm sure you noticed 88 was the official high in Orlando.
We peaked to the heat index in Orlando of 90.
Some places just south of town, Kissimmee, St. Cloud,
we're up to 91 or so today for the afternoon heat index.
And this looking forward will certainly
be the warmest day we have for a long while.
I look through the weekly models we have that go out about a month.
And I don't have anything to point at that says we're going
to be 88 to 90 again, at least from what I can tell tonight.
Temperature right now, 80 in Cocoa Beach,
84 in Orlando, 83 in Claremont.
It's 85 right now in the St. Cloud area.
Also, I'm sure you have noticed, it is very humid and very sticky,
especially for being in November now.
A dew point above 70 is very humid.
And that in November or the winter is uncommon.
We've had that basically now all week.
In fact, this graphic does not get pulled into my rundown,
my show here, to show you the forecast on TV.
We don't normally pull out heat index in November.
It's normally put out to the side.
So that tells you anything.
It's definitely very warm and humid out there.
Still a heat index in some places.
Closer to 90.
All right, we expected some showers tonight,
and they're down towards the Tampa area.
That's where they should stay.
You can see a couple showers here from Dade City down towards Holiday.
Those will move away from us.
There's the front.
That's going to come through very late tomorrow night,
really more so Saturday morning.
And there's the drop in temperature across the Midwest right now.
It's just 51 in Chicago, and it's
in the 30s tonight in the Twin Cities.
We're obviously not going to get to the 30s this go-around.
That's where the cooler air is moving from.
All right, wake-up temperatures Friday morning, upper 60s to low 70s,
with a good deal of clouds.
Highs tomorrow afternoon should be in the low to mid-80s,
not quite as warm as today,
but still there could be temperatures above average.
Now, heading into the weekend,
that front comes through Saturday morning.
And as soon as the front comes by, the sky clears out,
and we'll get a huge drop
in the humidity here Saturday afternoon and evening.
Saturday morning to Saturday night, very different feel.
It's still a little sticky.
Saturday morning, by dinnertime Saturday,
it's lovely and it's completely clear.
So humid tomorrow, maybe an afternoon or an evening shower or storm.
Dryer air, very nice Saturday, 82, just 80 on Sunday.
Afternoon highs in the 70s, Monday, Tuesday.
We're watching maybe a system the end of next week.
Could bring us some rain Wednesday, Thursday.
Right now, a little uncertain as to how much,
but we'll be watching it for you as we get a bit closer, Jack.
All right, Noah, thanks.
Coming up...
