Behavioral Health Network
and Common Care Alliance held a wellness celebration today
in Springfield. 22 News reporter Gabriela
Villas-Boas joins us live in studio with more
about the programs offered at the event.
That's right, community members in Springfield got to
take advantage of a fall wellness celebration today.
The event was an opportunity for visitors
to explore resources that support mental health and wellness.
The collaboration between Behavioral Health Network
and Common Care Alliance offered a
variety of activities and resources for those who stopped by.
Some of the resources included recovery and housing support,
as well as Medicaid renewal
assistance.
They're not alone in this, and so we have
our recovery coaching team and our access
navigators and other folks
who every day what they do is meet people where they are and
help them figure out how to take the next step
for their health and well-being.
Some other activities included a budget-friendly cooking class,
art therapy, grocery store raffles, and more.
Attendees got to take home some sanitary goodie bags, as well
as flyers with information about local assistance for all needs.
Varying from emergency shelters to recovery programs
and access navigation.
