Rian Johnson Explains Why The 'Knives Out' Films Give Us Very Little About Benoit Blanc's Personal Life

I'm curious about how much you choose to reveal about Benoit Blanc's personal life. We saw a little more of it in Glass Onion. He has a new haircut, which usually implies breakups. I hope they're all right. I love those two together. All right, let's do another. Yeah, I kind of have a real perspective on how they die. I mean, for me, I feel that Benoit Blanc will always be the detective in these murder mystery movies. And that means I want to learn more about him I'm him solving these cases, and that usually means him forming a relationship with the starting protagonist, you know, Josh O'Connor's character in this one, Janelle's character in the last one, Ana de Armas in the previous. Thank you very much. So it's relationship-based, to but it's very much him being the detective solving this speak case. I never can imagine going on, like, a little side street to learn more about him or doing a flashback or something. now. I think he's, ultimately, these are murder mysteries, and we want to see him show up and solve them.
