What are your thoughts on this whole college football playoff rankings?
I know we were talking about it kind
of before the show about Alabama being
higher than UCLA.
I wasn't very happy about that,
but John made a good point where it's like Alabama.
I mean,
they're playing better competition,
UCLA.
Yeah.
They're,
they're winning here and there.
And they obviously they're undefeated,
but they're looking at strength of,
of competition.
Like,
where do you sit on that?
Where do you sit on them being over them and strength and the merit,
like we were talking about?
Bama could be three or five
and they'll still put them in number one.
I don't want to hear this strip of schedule stuff no more.
SEC bias, man.
Yeah, listen, man.
I love the SEC, but I'm tired of that.
Of course, when you're looking at these rankings,
I would say a team that will actually surprise everybody
is going to be that matchup between Utah and BYU.
That's going to set the tone
because that's going to let you know
what team is going to sit in
and what team is going to be out.
Outside of that,
every other team that's necessarily playing,
You're looking at, I would say, Wake Forest is not going to get in.
I would say Kentucky's going to be a good team to get in.
Um...
I would actually even go as far as UCLA getting in.
But UCLA have to take care of Minnesota,
and they have to put the icing on the cake
and beat USC in that final game that they play.
That has to be the icing on the cake.
And USC is not going to get in if they lose to UCLA.
But outside of that, the other teams
that we're looking at on the board,
I can't see Ohio State sneaking in there.
I could definitely see LSU probably sneaking in there,
but I don't see nobody else on that board.
I could see Ole Miss falling to 14 and LSU jumping up to 10.
Tennessee might be a team that's the only team that I can see
that fans will have a gripe if they don't make it into the playoffs.
It's Tennessee.
Everybody else can move and shuffle boards,
but Tennessee, and I would say one more,
but the winner and loser between Utah and BYU.
Ain't nobody going to be mad if Tennessee don't get in
outside of the people in Tennessee, man.
What are you talking about?
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
They ain't got no sway.
Man, they might be mad.
I think Tennessee has a shot.
Bro, no, no, no, no, no, no.
You said people might be mad if Tennessee don't get in.
I'm telling you, ain't nobody going to be mad
if Tennessee don't get in.
Just like ain't nobody going to be mad
if UCLA don't get in.
But what about the game they had against,
what was that, was it Georgia or Alabama
when they had a great game?
All right, let me paint a picture for you.
Here's the thing, okay?
Notre Dame is on one side with two losses.
Tennessee is on the other side with one loss.
Who do you think going?
Notre Dame.
Who noticed that?
Who's Notre Dame?
All right, we're looking at Notre Dame's schedule.
Who they play, that's really good.
Outside of the game we got this weekend.
Outside of the game we got this weekend.
Notre Dame has played all right teams,
but we see how Notre Dame is when they get into the playoffs.
They get cooked.
Because they haven't seen no competition like this all year.
They might be good enough recruiting-wise to get there,
but once they're in there, they can't do nothing.
You're not hearing what I'm saying.
I don't even disagree with you.
But I'm telling you the truth, okay?
The Golden Dome ain't getting left out, okay?
You ain't leaving out Notre Dame.
Rudy will play in the CFP, buddy.
I don't know what to tell you.
What are they, grandfathered in now?
It might be.
Read the fine print.
It might be.
How much money are they giving the committee
to keep putting them in there and lose?
I want to know.
The committee running a business.
And there's a couple teams that even
if you close, you good for business.
Notre Dame's one of them.
Alabama's the other one.
Because, again, everywhere these teams go, they sell the stadium out
and people watch it on television.
We keep acting like this is really just about football.
If you put it in the hands of the committee, they're going to,
as Ray Charles said, I'm going to make it do what it do, baby.
I'm going to get Notre Dame in this thing.
I just, I just, I will say this.
I wouldn't even say certain teams, certain conferences.
When you put them in there, it just ain't got no conference.
No, no, no.
I'll say as any, I would say any SEC team I put
in there is going to make it do what
they do.
For God's sake.
We have, we have, we have Kentucky on the board right now.
Well, they deserve it though.
I will say they deserve it.
No, they deserve it.
Kentucky and UCLA are in the same boat.
They're in the same boat.
Hold on.
Let me explain.
Let me explain.
They've had great years.
They're normally not in this position,
but because both those teams have had really great years,
they deserve to be there,
and at the end of it, shouldn't get snaked out of it.
I would say that's a great point.
But I would say Kentucky's in a whole
different ballgame compared to UCLA.
UCLA is winning games straight up off a straight, off a discipline.
Kentucky is winning games off of style points.
Did you see what they did to LSU in overtime win?
They are winning games because of their offensive coordinator, right?
They're winning games because
their offense is looking like how Oregon's
offense is supposed to be looking.
It's true.
The person that was at Oregon left and went to Kentucky.
And now Kentucky looking like Oregon.
Kentucky Ducks, that's what I'm going to start calling them.
That's how good that offense is looking right now.
