Today begins the great American comeback.
But with this majority, Americans have given
we Democrats the opportunity to prove ourselves worthy of their trust.
Democrats on Tuesday riding a blue wave
to substantial majorities in both chambers of Congress.
Majorities that will likely get bigger as votes
are tabulated in still undecided races.
Panel, the looming certainty is that the Trump administration will have
a very difficult final two years of this ongoing presidency,
including likely impeachment hearings.
Thank you.
And therein lies the trap, Jordan.
Is there a balance here?
I mean, I think that there are people
who think that they're warranted, but
two years is coming.
Yeah, I don't think we're going to see two years of nonsense.
I think at most you get eight months
because you got to remember in both parties is going
to be presidential primaries are going to start.
So that's going to dominate the news wave.
Robert Garcia, the incoming chair of the Oversight Committee,
caught a lot of flak on election
night for his tweet that simply said lawyer up.
That is a preview of things to come that people don't want to see.
But when he broke down later on what he
was going to be looking into, it was things like
Surveillance pricing in Walmart, right?
Charging people different prices for the same goods.
That's going to be a very popular thing to look into.
We're going to see the Epstein files and you're going
to investigate the Kushners and the Trump children and whatnot.
But people do want to see accountability as well.
All right, we're looking at a potential 57.
Senators?
Mm-hm.
56, probably, yeah.
56?
56?
Yeah.
Okay, but that's still only four from impeachment.
Yeah.
Is there a trap there?
It could be two thirds for impeachment, two thirds, okay, sorry.
Thanks for the civics.
And for veto proof margin.
The first Trump term, the big takeaway was it doesn't matter,
it's about the economy, stupid, right?
And so this election taught us that same time
one more time, right? So Trump is a trap.
The House and the Senate have to pass laws,
they have to put the laws on Trump's desk
and then dare him to veto those laws.
Over and over and over and see what happens,
that's how democracy works and I think when
people start seeing that,
they're going to see the Democrats are working for us and that's
how they get reelected.
Do the Tejanos you talked to want to see impeachment
or do they want to see their
prices go down?
They want to see the Democrats deliver
and now they're in a position to not only
The only destined next phase is for them to deliver and
Hold them accountable,
but also deal with the affordability crisis and some immigration
reform.
And starting with the DACA and the DPS legal status of being here,
give them a pathway
to legal citizenship.
I'm looking at it in terms of piecemeal,
go after and hold them accountable for winning
corruption cases.
And then the last six months,
impeach Trump so on his way out, that's handing over his
head.
I have 30 seconds.
Well, the question is deliver what, right?
And so what are the policy specifics that we're going to see and
Played the clip of Schumer, well,
he's already got a little bit of trouble in his ranks because
not everybody is on board as supporting him.
And there are some of the more progressive members
that will be coming into office here
who don't like Schumer and they want to remove him from leadership
and want a very much more
far left progressive policy agenda that won't play well
if they take a lesson from the 2024
to 2026 on Republicans.
Same thing for Democrats, be very careful about going too far.
Still ahead, a clean...
sweep for Democrats in once purplish Harris County.
Will it mean more government and the heavy taxation needed to fund it?
