DIY Slime TESTED

Hey guys, it's Ashley. Today I'm here making some slime because I've seen these videos all over Instagram and I thought to myself I have to try making slime because those videos are literally my favorite videos to watch on Instagram because that slime looks so fun to play with. So I'm here to test it out and make some slime and I know this video is really really unoriginal because there's like millions of these videos on YouTube, but you know we're just going to go with it. Okay, so the first thing I'm going to do is take some of this glue all and we're just going to kind of pour some in, you know. Oh my gosh, I don't know how much to do so I'm kind of new at this. All right, we're just going to do like about half the bottle. You know, you can see it in there and what's next? So now what we're going to take is this cornstarch and we're just going to scoop some in here. We're not going to go by measurements around here and splitter splatter it everywhere. Holy! Um, good thing my mom's not home. She'll be killing me right now. But uh, this is what it looks like so far. Next up we have some shaving cream. Gillette foamy regular original shaving foam and um, I looked at the directions and there's no measurement for this really either. How the heck do you use this? Oh, there's a cap, all right. Sorry. Oh, look at this. Yo! Oh my god. Oh, smells really good. Now we got a big mountain of uh, shaving foam. Mix thoroughly. Look at this. All right. So we're mixing. I think I added like too much of everything. But you know, it's my first time making this. You can't expect everything to go too well. This is like clumpy central over here. Smells really good though. All right, let me mix this on up. I'm done mixing this and it just looks like, you know, some nice shaving cream mixed with glue and some corn starch and uh, now it says to add the activator and basically what the activator is is some Borax. Basically it says to use one teaspoon of this and two cups of warm water and just add it in and mix it on up. What the heck is borax? But basically it's like, it's like a cleaning supply or something, but we just added it in. So hopefully that does me good. Um, now let's add in the water. Here's the second cup of warm water. Holy, this looks like cottage cottage cheese. What is that? Cottage cheese. I think that's what this looks like. But uh, this kind of just looks like fluff and water and I don't really think I did this right. But let's just keep on mixing and see what happens. This mess everywhere. I'm not the cleanest person when it comes to this stuff, but yeah. So as you can see, it's kind of like gloopy and I guess that's what you want because it's slime, you know. But it also looks very watery to me. But it said after stirring it for a little bit, you can pick it up with your hands. So maybe after I pick it up with my hands, it will be good. But oh, look at this. Uh, but yeah, I'm gonna pick it up to see if I could like knead it together. So let's scrape it off this spoon and see what happens. All right. Look at this. All right. Pick this up. Oh my gosh. This is not what it's supposed to be like, but it's still cool. Oh my gosh. This is like oobleck or whatever. Like, you know, like that stuff that like this is so not right, but I love this. I need to get this together. So it's like really watery like I said. So maybe we should just what am I supposed to do now? Like should I add more cornstarch? But my hands are a mess right now. So yeah, I think that's what we have to do. Okay, what am I doing? Even though I followed the directions, it just didn't turn out. I mean, maybe I just have to keep going. It's not like watery anymore, but it's really sticky and I keep like adding cornstarch to like hope it'll take away the stick or whatever, but it's just not happening. But like when you make actual slime like that you see on Instagram and stuff, it's not supposed to be this messy. Like look at my hands. I finally got it to a somewhat good consistency. So now what I'm going to do is add in some red food coloring so that we can make this slime pink. So I'm going to drop in some little droplets of that. And then what I'm going to do is add some raspberry extract so that it smells really good. Mix this up. You know how we do. Just so you guys know I really suck at doing things like this because somehow I always mess it up. But that's what makes it interesting, I guess. So if I knew what I was doing, I'd just be like bada bing bada boom and it would turn out good. But like this way you can see like how it turns out and everything. We're going to add like one little drop in. Oh my god, that was not one little drop. All right. Well, it's just going to be like extra raspberry. Oh, that smells good though. This could be like a like if you're angry you could be like And it's like a Like look how loud that is. Big old belly. Um it's still fun to play with though like I could squish this like all day I swear. So that was it for this video. I hope you guys enjoyed. My sister mentioned to me that we should start like posting these type of slime videos on Instagram and I know there's like thousands of them already out there. But it'd be kind of cool if like we could make them and then maybe sell them or whatever and here's the username. But yeah, go check it out.
