I had a beautiful, unmedicated, and natural birth with an incredible birthing team on March 16th, 2021. This is a RAW video of my labor and positive birth story with no active pushing. It was the birth experience of my life.

Wow, last night I had a bunch of surges all night long. Pretty much going all day
now and this could be it. The doula is on her way.
Just trying to breathe and be relaxed. Keep the oxytocin up. How are you feeling? Tired.
Surges are six minutes apart now. Yeah, a little less than that. I think you had two that were four and a half apart.
I've been doing this pretty much all day.
I've gotten sick a few times. Yeah, trying to keep down water and peanut butter and
crackers right now. We'll check in again.
Okay baby. We've been at this for a while so I'm just like, now it's mental
toughness and I keep telling myself I'm a tough bitch and thinking about all the
training that I've done for this with the hypnobirthing. My goal was to have a
positive, calm, confident birth and do it unmedicated and that's what we're doing.
I still feel confident about it even if it has been all day. I've still got fight left in me and I hope
Nudge comes down and joins the party soon. That would be lovely to do before the sunrise.
Breathe for it baby.
Good job baby. You're doing wonderful.
Good job on your breathing baby.
A little hard.
Maybe not. I think I got too excited.
We have a baby girl of 6'52".
Let's swivel you around a little bit here.
I'm going to get a couple pillows underneath you and sit you up a little bit sweetheart.
Hi baby.
Yeah we got a baby.
We almost had a baby.
Look at you. You're so cute.
We got her to pee and she said I feel the head.
Well that's really good.
I'm so happy she's here with you honey.
Your name is the same as my grandma's.
It's Mary Wallace.
I'm named after my grandma.
I'm getting chills.
I'm so happy I can be here with you.
I hope you remember me.
But I'm going to have a place in your heart now aren't I?
I go home and I have this really cute little shadow box where I drop a pink gem or a blue gem into it every day.
After I have a baby at work, this gem is going to be a special one.
We knew you were a girl somehow didn't we?
Yeah you did. You called it. I almost forgot.
Yeah she kept saying it's a tree.
You called her she all day long.
I've done this without you.
You could have but I'm glad I was here with you.
It's like I don't want you to leave.
I was like I'm going to have this baby before she leaves.
You didn't.
I was like I'm going to have this baby before she leaves.
It's true.
You're very welcome.
We're going to write our little birth story.
We just had a baby girl.
She's perfect.
She is so perfect.
And everything went by really fast in the last 10 minutes? 20 minutes?
No like 5 minutes.
Yeah.
And Kyle did not get it recorded.
I didn't get it recorded.
Maybe it was meant to be that you weren't supposed to record it and it was just going to be etched in our brains forever.
Well I had no idea that we were that close to...
I didn't know we were going to start pushing.
Me neither.
We didn't push. You didn't push.
I got up on my knees and I could feel the baby's head engage the entire time.
Because before it was like my body was just involuntarily pushing.
I could feel her head and then I could feel her head like suck back up.
And like this kept going.
And then finally when I sat up, from leaning forward to upright, she was engaged the entire time.
And then they asked when was the last time I emptied my bladder.
And I was like...
It's been forever.
And as soon as I got up and tried to stand, I felt like...
Excuse me.
It felt like a bowling ball.
In between my legs.
And then I started shaking uncontrollably.
And our nurse, Mary, she just held on to me and I held on to her.
And I think I was kind of hyperventilating at that point.
Yeah, I had to get in your ear.
Yeah, you did.
You said breathe it out, breathe it out.
Kind of freaking out.
And reasonably so.
You were standing and shaking so hard, baby.
It was hard to watch.
And then I tried to go sit on the toilet.
And I was like, oh boy, I can't.
I think you sat down for all of half a second.
And you stood back up.
And then you reached down there.
And I was like...
I feel the head.
And I was like, that's the head.
And then Mary checked and she was like, oh yeah.
She was like, well, let's just turn around and go back to the bed.
She wore her adult diaper the whole time during labor.
Because she didn't want to...
I didn't want to pee or poop.
I didn't poop.
I know.
And I didn't have to see it.
But I actually ripped those off of her.
Oh yeah.
I ripped them off of you.
Now, the part that you didn't see like...
Okay, well, let's finish the story.
So you stand up.
You feel a little baby crowning.
Yeah.
The baby was crowning.
And then we slowly walk back to the bed.
And you're just standing at the edge of the bed.
I didn't know if I could get back on the bed.
And Mary was like,
how do you want to push?
And I was like, uh...
She was like, you can do whatever you want to do.
And I did not have a choice.
I was doing it standing.
Because that's how...
Another surge came and you were just,
oh, there's a baby.
Yeah.
It was crazy. It was wild.
She slid right out.
Literally she did because
the nurses almost didn't catch her.
Yeah, did you?
Was your hand down there?
No.
So they literally were like...
They saw the head and then
they were like, oh, she's going to push a couple times.
Oh no, there's the baby.
They kind of all dodged for the baby.
It was pretty wild to see.
Yeah, it just came out.
Look at it split.
And then I saw...
I was just in complete shock and awe.
Crying.
Then they said,
we're going to...
Pass the baby between your legs.
And then I was like,
Oh my gosh.
Yeah, you were just...
It's a baby.
It was so cool.
Then they asked me,
hey, so dad,
what is it? Is it a boy or a girl?
The first thing I saw was
an umbilical cord hanging between
the baby's legs.
So the first thing I was like,
is that a nut sack?
Nope.
They lifted a leg so I could get a better view
And it's a girl.
We knew it was a girl.
Didn't we?
You did magical, babe.
The nurses just
complimented her left and right.
She did amazing.
