All right, so I figured I'd do things a little differently this time. I do kind of like a vlog
style. People have been asking about, you know, what do we have at our farm, what kind of animals,
things to do and see. So I thought I'd give you guys a little tour. Let's go.
Tom. This is Tom the turkey. He has many selfies taken with him. Hey Tom, you're quite the
attraction. Yeah, very friendly, little standoffish. You can get in there and you can pet his head.
Oh yes, you little boy. Hey. Oh, it's Blackie. Hi Blackie. Patches. Snow.
Hi Snow. Do you know your name? And Snow's little girls. Luna on the left and Stella on the right.
And then random chickens. Okay, so here we have the babies, the lambs and the calves.
And they're gonna come over because they think I have food, right? Yeah, no. Oh, what did you do?
What did you do, eh? Yes. And the cows. This one we're calling Midget. It was a little smaller
than the other one, which he is about four weeks old, I believe. And Mujo is about five weeks old.
Hey bud. Yes. You guys staying out of the hot sun. It's hot out there, eh? Yeah, it's hot.
I can't remember which one's which. I know this one is Turbo and then there's Tinker,
Tilly and there's another T in there. Tinker, Tilly, Turbo and I'm not sure.
Can't keep track of all these animals. All right, so we've got some Peking ducks here.
Hey, what are you guys doing? You guys should be in the pond.
And that is a Emden Goose. The pond's again full. We've been getting tons of rain.
Now, Tom is having a standoff with Little Tom, we'll call him. I guess it's kind of an alpha
thing. Tom here is about, oh, a year and a half to two years old. And the other one in there
is not even a year old yet. And you can tell by, there's a little tuft of hair right here.
And that you can see here is, it basically tells their age. So he's got a nice long,
a long one on him and he's got a shorter one. But yeah, they hang out at the fence there and
we put them together and they just fought and fought and we said, okay, that's enough. No more
fighting. So Prince is right here. This is the P-fowl cage. Hey, Prince. What are you doing,
bud? You gonna put your tail up? Hey? No, there's no girls out here. Where are the girls?
I guess the girls are inside. Ah, pigeon. That's one of the young pigeons. Hey, Prince. Yeah.
Yeah, that's one of the, that's one of the young ones. You can tell by their,
their beak is kind of, kind of got that little bump on it there. Prince is going in.
Ah, we'll go in and we'll see them out there. Now we put these, this mesh up here to protect,
protect them basically. We've had P-fowl in the past and they tend to wander and get eaten by
prey. So you can see here's the little house going into the inside. Oh, pigeon. And they are
probably, yeah, there's no, that's a pigeon. Okay. I can't really see much in there, but
oh, there's one there. Female. We'll go inside and have a look. And here's the rooster trying to
show off to me. He's like, yeah, look at me. I'm the rooster. Cock-a-doodle-doo.
So anyway, yeah, the mesh we had put up here, the pigeons as well, they had escaped.
Well, not escaped. We let them fly around actually. But crows tend to come around and eat
our birds. So we had to protect them. Two Muscovies, the Drake or the boy is on the right
and the female is on the left. Hi Drake. If you talk to him, he'll dance. Drake. He's got a little
Mohawk. Drake. Who's a pretty boy? Who's a pretty boy? Drake. Drake. What are you doing? Hey buddy.
No, you got nothing. Well, you got a little head. There's a little bit.
Hey, what are you doing? He usually puts his Mohawk up. And then there's three Pekins in there.
Looks like the boy is in the front here. He's got a little tuft on the top of his head.
So he is a tufted Pekin and his two girls. So Fred and his two girls. Let's see this boy.
This boy is kind of puffed up. Hey, oh yeah. Yeah, you're all flared, aren't you? But harmless.
A lot of people get scared because they puff up like that and I guess they can come and attack.
But the best thing to do is just stand your ground. You know, you come in and you can pet
him. Okay, all right. It's all right. You got to watch your step. All right, we'll just leave him
be then. How embarrassing. You fell right in front of your rival. All right, what do we got?
We have in here some bunny rabbits. Hey, bunny rabbits. Oh, mom doesn't like it.
Mom doesn't like me looking. These guys are Netherland Mini Rex Cross, I believe.
And some more random roosters. We have a Pekin duck sitting. She's not impressed that I'm here
and neither is this one. Hey, are you hiding? I can't see you, can I? Yeah. Oh, what do we got?
And then in this area, so this is the inside of the turkey area and you can see there's a female.
She's sitting on, oh, a dozen, 15, 18 eggs or so. I'm not exactly sure. But
she should be, they should be due to hatch, I would think, within the next week. Oh, some Cayuga
ducks. And, of course, Drake. Drake, what? Are you going to put on a show now? You're going to put
on a show now, are you? Hey, you're going to put on a show? What? What? You want some food? That's
what you probably want. And yeah, this one wants food for sure. She's like, uh, you got food?
Hey, guys, what are you guys doing? He's a black. He can't even see you guys very good.
They're very iridescent in color in the, uh, in the sunlight. Okay, guys, and then these are where
the boy rabbits are. Let's take a look here. They're just kind of relaxing. So, boy, there's our mini
Rex back there. Fur is really plush, eh? And, oh, what is it? I think that's one of his sons.
You can see the color resemblance. And this here is a little lop that we got. She was brought to
us. Somebody, uh, bailed out on their apartment and the cleaning crew came by and, um, and found
actually a guinea pig and, uh, the rabbit, the lop. Okay, good, good. Okay, guys, uh, feeding time
is this evening. Maybe we'll have to make a feeding time video because people ask, you know,
how do you feed everybody? You know, whatever. It must take a long time, but we've actually got it
down. Oh, Prince, there we go. There we go. Oh, he's going to turn around. Okay, so he's kind of
showing off. Come on. There we go. Can't see the beauty of it, though, unless you're,
unless I have the right angle to reflect the sunlight. Hey, Prince. It's a little peacock
and the females are called pea hens and the young are called pea chicks.
All right, guys, you guys enjoy this hot weather we're having. Hot and humid weather.
Oh, Drake's running after his girl. Love is in the air. All right, uh, so we have this,
what we call a duck door, so beside our gate. This allows the ducks to go through.
Example on cue. Boom. Now, if we don't want anybody to go in, maybe we're closing them
for the night and we just put that board down and it's nice and simple, nice and easy. Now,
we do have some of our smaller goats that can actually fit in there, but what do you do? You
just got to monitor, right? You just have to monitor them. These little guys can get in there
too when they're looking for food. All right. Um, so here's Mujo now out in the sun doing a
little sunbathing. Oh boy. Hey, what do you think? And the two Emden geese just kind of hanging out.
Hey. All right. All right. Let's go inside and give a little show to what we have in there.
All the babies. There is a, I don't know if you saw that. It's a barn swallow. Oh, there's
another one up there. So they made this nest. They're just cute little things. See how close
I can get before it takes off because I know it will take off. Oh, there we go.
So there's the nest. Let's have a look inside. Now we're here. Okay. Oh yeah.
We've got, I've got a few babies anyway. Yeah. There's I think two in there.
That's all I can see. Maybe the camera can see more. Anyway. So yeah, they've hatched.
Um, you know, just to point here, these things are great because they keep the hay down,
um, and off the ground for bedding. So these things, uh, these things are fantastic.
