How To Change Your Name In Roblox (Guide) | Change Your Roblox Username & Display Name

In this video I'll show you how to change your name and username in Roblox. So the first thing you need to do is come to Roblox and if you're using a Roblox mobile then I'll show you exactly how to do this as well. So once you're on the Roblox website all you need to do is go to the top right where you've got this gear icon or just a cog, tap on it here and then you need to go and press on settings. Now if you're on using your mobile phone for Roblox then all you need to do is open up the Roblox app then once you're in the app you'll be on the home screen and what you need to do is go and tap on the three dots in the bottom right of the navigation bar and this is going to take you to the more page and on the more page all you need to do is scroll down and so you can see the option for settings and go and tap on settings. Then you've got this list of options here and what you need to do is tap on account info. Now this is going to go and take you to the same section here on the desktop as it's both called account info and here we are so now we'll continue the guide on the desktop but the steps are exactly the same. So all you need to do is come into this section here called account info and as you can see we've got display name and username. Now at the moment these are both the same but they can be different I want to quickly explain what the difference is. So a Roblox username which is the second one here is the name associated with your account when you created it. This is required to log into your account or you can use your username but it's also the unique identifier of your account. No two players can have the same username and as such it's completely unique whereas the display name is how others just see you in game and your profile and people can have the same display name so two people could be called guide realm whereas only one person could have the username guide realm. So now let's go and change these now it's completely free to go and change the display name but you do need to go and pay to change your username. So to go and change your display name all you need to do is go and press this edit button here which says change display name and then it's going to go and launch this here and as you can see you can only change your display name once every seven days which is important to remember. So then you can just go and change this to whatever you'd like so I'm just going to have guide realm then tap save and it's going to take a moment to update and there we go. So now let's go and change the username and it is important to note that it does cost Robux and just a quick note you will need to add and verify an email to your Roblox account if you haven't already in order to go and change your username. So all you need to do is go and tap on the change username button and as you can see you do need 930 Robux to go and change your username but I'm going to go and put a screenshot of the screen what it actually looks like. So once you have a thousand Robux you're going to go and get this menu here saying would you like to change your username for a thousand Robux and you need to go and enter the new username you would like. It is important to note that this is going to cost you a thousand Robux every time you want to change it so make sure you spell it correctly and you're sure you want this username and then you can go and purchase that username and it's going to go and be changed and there you go that's exactly how you can go and change your name inside of Roblox and your username as well and your display name.
