MEXICO'S NUDIST BEACH 🇲🇽 ZIPOLITE (OAXACA)

good morning everyone, it's an early start to the day today here from casa calma once again in zipolite. i don't know if you can hear that sound there of the ocean in the background, super nice sleeping right on the coast because you can just hear the waves crashing all night. especially out here because the ocean is always pretty wild and wavy and we got the rocks so yeah they're pretty much just smashing against the rocks all night. really nice around here as well you can always hear the the birds. so the plan for today is that we're going to explore the main area of zipolite the main beach and the main town but before we do that we need to get some breakfast so this is the breakfast that's included in our stay so we got guava, mango, pineapple and some nice melon juice. i don't think we've eaten guava before right? only the juice. yeah and the really nice view here of the pool, dogs chilling out. so we also got some yogurt, carol's with granola and i guess i'm going to put the yogurt on my fruit, greek yogurt so carol got a local dish here, what is it called again? chilaquiles. chilaquiles. it's like fried yeah something like that. i can see some avocado egg on top and i just got the toast and i got some homemade mango jam so that should be nice. so we're on our way to the beach now so i might as well show you how the roads are on the way there so pretty much everything in our area is kind of this, these dirt paths. it's pretty cool right? yeah it's like a natural vibe. yeah super natural and everywhere you're kind of surrounded by trees and then a lot of the places in this place have these palm thatched roofs. i think the majority of the buildings are like that. yeah so even that adds a cool natural vibe to the place. so check this out i'm not sure if people actually stay here but it's like a teepee tent, colorful one. loads of squirrels around here in the tree and roosters yeah. yeah look at these other kind of accommodations. i'm not sure if this is someone's house or a place you can stay. how cool does that look though? quite a few of them. so even on these roads there's like loads of cafes. check this out but they're all hidden away into the the trees there's hotels and stuff but you you can't tell right? like i think that's a hotel there. yeah there are so many trees and nature all around so you can see the building which is nice i think for me i like it. yeah so we forgot to bring our sunscreen so kao is just headed into the store here to buy some dogs everywhere here. it's like a rug look at that so i've actually gotta watch out on this beach because it's a nude beach. it's actually mexico's only legal nude beach so i'm pretty sure there's other beaches in mexico that you can get yeah nude with with no issues but this by law you're allowed to actually be nude here so yeah all around us there are naked people and i obviously can't put that on youtube. i don't think we've ever been to a nude beach before right? no it's the first time. yeah not a big one like this but we'll try and film some stuff and avoid the people. yeah we'll try to be careful. yeah we'll try and be careful, maybe get naked. so the place we're staying is on the top of that hill over there so yeah you have this beautiful beach area here even after these rocks and it is a super long beach. it goes all the way down there so we're gonna head down that way. got some surfers out there as well. it's another popular surf spot so pretty much all along the beach there's places you can stay like restaurants and stuff a lot of the places around here though they don't have ac, that was a difficult thing when me and carl were looking for places to stay because it's super boiling right now right? yeah and they don't have hot water which could be not okay, it's not a problem and also internet can be an issue. yeah but i think the ac is the hard part for for us, it gets really really hot so they're all like fan rooms pretty much. i think this is the hottest day. yeah. yeah we were going to walk all the way down there but we might do later on but not without getting in the water oh nice and cold. oh this is nice and cold, just like yesterday okay abort mission. yeah so since it's so hot i think we'll probably stop at one of the restaurant places where we decide to eat and see if they have the umbrellas and the sunbeds like we did in puerto escondido. yeah i think that's the best option today. you want to surf carol? no? the place has a surfboard where we stay and they said we could use it. yeah but there's nobody surfing so i don't think this is a good position. that's carol's kind of wave out there carol's level all right here we go it's too shallow oh man so we found the spot that we were looking for with the chairs and the much needed umbrella so it's the same deal as in puerto escondido, we've just gotta buy something like drink or food and we just ordered a fruit curry which is rice with fruit which seems weird but yeah we'll see how it tastes, i have no idea how that's going to be. so those are cool shack bars restaurants, there's people camping right? in the bars or something, i saw some tents. yeah i think it's a kind of accommodation, you can just go to one of these bars and do whatever you want hippie place. ready to try some fruit curry? yeah. whatever that is. it actually looks pretty nice so yeah the rice is yellow, some yellow sauce i guess, spices. curry. yeah curry and then we got avocado, tomatoes, so there are some vegetables on top but i don't know what's yeah i think he said mango, no idea. go on you do the honors first, see how good or bad it is i don't think she liked it. not my favorite. no? let me try. it's not bad but i can eat it but it's not my favorite. no. do you get mango? i got pineapple. oh yeah? pineapple and rice that sounds weird. it just tastes weird. yeah it's like salty but with fruit. yeah kind of salty but with fruit. some people like to mix fruits and just regular food but it's not my favorite. i'm kind of like carol, i'm not in love with it. i wouldn't say it's horrible but it's just very very weird. yeah yeah we have to eat it. yeah we can eat it. we're not eating it again. yeah so the food grew on me a bit, still kind of weird, i don't think i can get over the salty rice fruit mix but yeah it's not so bad. and the price is only 135 pesos which is just over six dollars and we can't even finish it so that's for two people. in general the prices around here are way cheaper than puertas escondidas so yeah one plate for two people six dollars right on the beach so really good price. so we've come to the far corner of the beach now, this is basically where all the surfers are so yeah we wanted to watch them see how good they are. looks like pretty crazy waves though, i don't think i could surf here but i'm thinking about it, we'll see. and on this side you got some cool rocks so there's actually a hostel up there which is pretty crazy, there's these rock stairs here, not sure if it's open or abandoned. so just some more information about this place, i read a bit on wikipedia about how it became this little like hippie nude community pretty much before the 70s i don't think there was anybody really living here at all and then yeah in the 70s i don't know how they chose this place, they found it like isolated or whatever and all these hippies came here and i think at that time obviously there was no law enforcement or anything so yeah it was pretty much free to do whatever they want and that's what hippies want right? and yeah ever since it's pretty much like a beach town but built around this hippie community. and we've really enjoyed the vibe here so far. yeah it's very calm and there are many families and even local families at the beach being nude or not, just wearing swimsuits as normal. it's just like a normal place but if you want to be like a nudist you can do that. yeah i think the locals obviously as i said the the town was built on this community right so they're completely used to it and yeah there's just like regular families as well like just people on normal vacations so yeah it seems like an area for everyone really, you've got to be open-minded. so we've come back to the hotel decided to get in the pool at sunset time. if you didn't see yesterday's video this is how the pool looks and it's a awesome infinity pool, amazing views. we were on that beach all the way down there about as far as it looks, chilling. i think later on we're going to go back into town or the village. yeah and hopefully they're playing some cool live music yeah like last night. yeah hope so so we've come to the main strip here as you can see it's a very fun lively place and we've come to a italian restaurant yeah italian food and these guys were playing yesterday they're awesome didn't have people dancing yesterday though only today, only today. we're newbies. yeah so that's it for this one, we're gonna go to sleep now, we're both really tired and i think the next video we're gonna head to mazunte which is another beach place nearby, you can visit there even if you're staying in zipolite it's only 10 minutes away in a car so yeah really close and i've heard good things about that as well it's supposed to be just as cool as this place so we'll find out. so if you like this video just drop a like as usual, subscribe if you like to see more videos like this, follow us on instagram and we'll see you around
