Hello guys, I just killed a pretty big bearded seal here, it's only myself so I've got to
try to get aboard the boat, I'm not sure how I'm going to turn him, oh dear Jesus, I'm
stuck man, be careful man, nothing easy, oh God, this is heavy, super heavy, we're coming,
there we go, holy freak, I'm winded, it's heavy, it's going to be a late night butchering
going up, but that's good, that's what we wanted, we've got lots of meat now for the
summer aboard the boat, oh man that's great, I'm going to get the boat level up here now,
getting down to pound and idle back to pick up the boys because it'll be late getting
home, if that oyster would have been a little bit higher there it would have actually made
it easier but it's pretty low and it's late in the evening, you know if this was earlier
in the day I would have just butchered him up on the oyster, this here is a bearded seal
and a tradition that we had in Williams Harbour is, especially if you've got one butchered
a bearded seal when you're going into the harbour you put up a flag and people will
know that you've got a bearded seal aboard your boat and that way they can come down
because these are heavy and they'll help you get the seal out and you're cutting up and
everyone will get some you know, so that's one of our old traditions we had there and
so it might be a little bit dark when we're going back but we're putting that flag up
anyway and if anyone does see us they know, they will know we've got a bearded seal aboard
the boat.
Well, we got him pelted off and we got the good out of him, now we're going to button
up there and race it in for the night, yeah we're getting halved up there.
