Welcome back. Today I want to talk about something so interesting and I hope you find it interesting also.
It's chakras. Chakras have a huge history in the natural medicine and
healing systems and even to this day many Eastern healers and Indian gurus incorporate
chakras within their healing systems and philosophy.
I know I say this in every video
but I still have people ask me what I'm doing at uni and I'm doing naturopathy, which is why I'm so
fascinated with this holistic view of healing. So meditation, spirituality,
balance between mind-body-soul, chakras, anything to do with healing, anything to do with philosophy, anything to do with energetics,
love. So the word chakra comes from the Sanskrit word meaning wheel. Literally translated from Hindi language
it means wheels of spinning energy. So I guess you can think of chakras as these invisible rechargeable batteries.
Each chakra is associated with a certain part of the body and a certain organ which it provides with the energy
it needs to function. The lower chakras are associated with fundamental emotions and needs as the energy there
vibrates at a lower frequency and therefore is denser in nature. The finer energies of the upper chakras
correspond to our higher mental and spiritual aspirations. The openness and flow of the energy throughout our chakras determines our
state of
emotional and mental health and physical health and balance. I guess also to make it easier you can also
relate this flow of energy to
circulation of blood all throughout your body. Blood carries nutrients and energy carries energy.
Pretty much all meditation and yoga systems seek to balance out the energy of their chakras.
So sometimes chakras can become blocked because of stress or emotional or physical problems. The
consequences of irregular energy flow may result in physical and mental illnesses.
So we actually have thousands of little chakras all throughout our body and outside of our bodies
but we have seven major ones which are the ones that I'm gonna discuss now.
The first chakra is root or base chakra, which is located at the base of our spine.
It's the chakra closest to earth and therefore represents most earth-centered energy.
It's the chakra of stability, security and basic needs. If your root chakra is balanced, you feel grounded, you feel independent, you feel
stable, you feel centered and you have that vitality and strength. Some of the health issues that can result in having a blocked root chakra
are joint pain, lower back ache, anorexia,
obesity and poor immune function. The second chakra, the sacral chakra, is located just below your belly button.
This chakra is about relationships, creativity, sexuality,
control and money. If this chakra is balanced, you feel compassionate, friendly, intuitive, vital, have a sense of humor and a sense of belonging.
Some of the health issues that can arise if this chakra is out of balance include uterine or bladder problems, sexual difficulties and lack of flexibility.
Flexibility in terms of both physical and mental. Third chakra,
which is yellow in color, is located above your navel and
connects us with the energy to take action and express personal power.
This chakra affects our relationship with the world around us and our beliefs about our place within it come from this chakra.
When your solar plexus chakra is balanced, you feel energetic, confident,
decisive, productive, you have good digestion. If this chakra is out of balance, some of the health issues that you can experience are diabetes,
hyperglycemia, nervousness, low energy, muscle cramps. The fourth chakra, the green chakra, is our heart chakra,
which is located within the heart. Heart chakra is right in the middle of all the seven chakras and therefore unites the chakras of matter,
which are below the heart chakra, and the upper chakras of spirit, which are all the chakras above the heart chakra.
Chakra. The heart chakra is a source of love and connection. When it's open,
we are able to forgive, our lungs are clear and our immune system is healthy. To me,
personally, heart chakra is one of my most important chakras because that is
exactly what allows me to feel
love and connect with other people. To have a healthy heart chakra,
you must allow all of your suppressed emotions to release. An unhealthy heart chakra causes feelings of
loneliness and despair. Some of the physical health issues that can arise from having a blocked heart chakra are high blood pressure,
breathing difficulties, circulation problems, chest pains, disorders of the heart and tension between the shoulders.
On to our fifth chakra, the throat chakra, which is located within the throat and is believed to be a blue color.
This chakra is all about choice, willpower and the right to speak and be heard.
It is through this chakra that we manifest what we want in life. When your throat chakra is balanced, you feel creative, you feel expressive,
you feel centered, you are able to communicate
constructively, you're conscious when you listen. Blocks in this chakra make it difficult to communicate
because we feel suppressed by our swallowed feelings and emotions. Some of the health issues that can arise if your throat chakra is blocked
include fever, thyroid problems, disorders of the throat,
hypothalamus and esophagus problems. Our sixth chakra is the third eye chakra, which is believed to be positioned
right here. It is the center of divine wisdom.
Intuition and our ability to see through vision comes from this chakra. A healthy third eye gives us the power to perceive every
reflection from the outer world as a direct call for us to accept it as ours. When our third eye chakra is balanced,
we are able to think reality into existence.
We have great intuition, great imagination, are able to concentrate and focus. If you guys are into the law of attraction,
I might make like a separate video about that actually.
But the third eye and the crown chakras are so important for the law of attraction because
this is how you put your thoughts out into the universe.
This is how you communicate with the
higher power, energy, universe, whatever you want to call it. Blocks in this chakra can cause us to become
delusional, unimaginative, indifferent. And some of the physical health issues that can arise include headaches, eye problems,
problems with your pituitary and pineal glands. On to our last chakra out of all the seven major ones,
chakra number seven, the crown chakra, the
chakra which is located just above your head.
This is our direct connection to the universe. Guidance from the universe comes through this chakra and
into our little brains. So I guess you can even say that this chakra like
processes it and
you can imagine if your crown chakra is blocked, you're not able to access
these thoughts or this guidance from the universe. If your crown chakra is balanced, you feel at one with the universe,
connected, open-minded,
intelligent, thoughtful, and you're able to understand and learn information more easily. Blocks in this chakra can cause confusion,
depression, fear of success and lack of inspiration. And some of the health issues are migraines, brain tumors, coma, amnesia,
nervous system and muscular disorders. So these are the seven major chakras. This is obviously just a brief overview,
but I do encourage you to
do more research, go more deeply into this because this is so interesting.
It's really fascinating how chakras are used in the healing systems like traditional Chinese medicine and Indian like Ayurveda.
And the interesting thing is it helps like if you
meditate and you open your chakras, it does help your physical and mental issues.
And I just find it crazy how the very like first cultures who discovered
these like chakras and energetics and healing through chakras, it amazes me how they just
knew that, like they just knew about it. But yeah, in the modern day, we have so much freaking information about
everything. Go on the internet, find it. It's amazing. Oh my god. I yeah, I'm yet to learn more myself.
These are just the basics. I hope you enjoyed this video. Nevertheless,
I'll see you soon.
Processes it, processes it, processes, processes. That's too many S's. Come across as a little, um,
I don't know, thousands of little...
