Good afternoon guys and welcome back to another video here in India specifically in Kochi and in today's video guys we're actually gonna be cruising over to what's said to be one of the best barber shops in Kochi and what's said is basically based off of the amount of reviews that I found this place called Chop Shop Barber and Brand Kochi has a 4.8 rating out of 366 ratings so I was like you know what it's time to go ahead and try out one of the luxury barber shops here I like to test them out see their different procedures whenever I go to different cities and countries all over the world to see who can give me the best possible haircut so we're gonna be cruising over there right now I think they're gonna give us like a full treatment package I don't know what it is but it's gonna be something like yeah the haircut the beard trim because it's getting kind of long as you can see and then also we're going to get some sort of like head massage out of it so yeah it should be a pretty fun time oh we got some traffic coming in as you can hear behind me people are in a hurry it's about Thursday afternoon so everyone's getting themselves ready for the weekend in about 36 hours and commotion is on so full speed ahead we are going to be heading over here we've got our man Akil he's going to be driving us over thank you Akil you're from Kerala yeah it's very very nice city good people here and so yeah guys we're gonna heading over there probably maybe a 10 minute drive or so away and well let's say without the traffic the current traffic and yeah once we get there we'll give you a tour of the barber shop you'll come with us for the haircut and so let's head on into it I don't actually know what the cost is I didn't ask in advance but I'll share all that with you once we get over there so let's do it all right that's the chop shop right there oh yeah that's got to be at second floor then perfect my friend thank you so much see you all right guys we're arriving to the chop shop my guess is this way to the chop shop there it is first floor where we're going all right here we are chop shop hello hello hello hello all right we've arrived to the chop shop how's it going just a minute all right we'll take a seat right here ah all right hello my friend how are you ah we talked yeah so you hooked me up with the appointment just in time so this is the spy yeah your good name what was it mac nice to meet you yeah sweet so you mind if i uh film while i'm gonna have you all right perfect no problem my name is atif atif yes nice to meet you all right my name is mac so this is where the uh the magic happens yeah oh very nice that'll be great oh actually i need to grab my phone so i'll show you how i like my hair see you guys i always bring a photo with me so this is one of my favorite haircuts i ever got so you got the fade all the way out yeah but the uh i actually recently had a barber that uh when i was in sri lanka that used the blade all the way up to here like the okay the one you used to shave here okay and that gave it a nice look and then fade it up and then just a trim up top there okay and that'll do the trick perfectly yeah all right and shave is full clean shave full clean shave yeah yeah okay by razor by razor yeah perfect yeah so you guys we're gonna be all cleaned up there it's gonna be great our man's gonna take care of us is beginning now we're gonna have a full-on transformation here guys i'm excited for this i really like the uh layout to this place you got a lot of thought and design into this entire uh place here we got photos of various i want to say actors and from all over from many different uh movies that i recognize here you got the bronx vibe here with the brick walls here very much your uh gentleman's style barber shop good feel to it and you know it's the gentleman's barber shop when they've got the jack daniels spray bottle over there thank you my friend very comfortable thank you so much oh that's great it's probably been about uh two and a half weeks i got a haircut growing much faster than i thought and honestly getting a haircut right now is going to be quite nice because it's very hot here in kochi and so to have the head cooled down a couple degrees would be quite nice if i can say so myself would you look at this guys we just spun around and get the hair washed right here at the seat so that's pretty awesome oh yeah very comfortable thank you oh yeah warm is good thank you so much yeah thank you so yeah that's i've never seen a barber chair like this that converts literally you see that over there that's amazing so we're starting out a little hair washing so i got the gel in there oh perfect yeah thank you guys it's already starting off very nicely here got the shampoo cleaning out the entire scalp of the dirtiness of uh walking around this morning good smelling shampoo too oh very nice all cleaned up there guys haircut will be coming up next thank you as you guys can see this is the longest my hair has been in quite some time so that'll be nice to get it cleaned up even on the sides too thank you and there we go we're starting out with a nice fade line there it's a good height i love seeing the fade line at first because then it's like the initial initial design of how the fade's going to turn out as you guys can see we've got our lines all the way across goes all the way around as soon as he pulls all that off the head's going to cool down a few degrees in this video guys i've done a lot of haircut videos i'm going to talk slightly less than i normally do and show more since some of the feedback's been like that oh yeah fade's coming in very nicely you guys drop a comment below at the end of this video and let me know if you prefer when i guide you through kind of talk through what's happening in the haircuts or if you prefer to just kind of watch the process with a little less commentary my usual videos i do a lot more commentary as i was saying kind of through the process like this is level one two three four the fades but um and this one i'll show show the process a bit more and if you guys like that way that way better then i'll take whatever the uh most popular opinion is and continue that way forward oh yeah you gotta like the process here as you guys can see here we found the fade lines and we're starting to get the layering up top first before we take down the lower sideburns which is a unique way of doing it i'm uh intrigued by it quite a bit and so this is uh your shop my friend no no i'm just managing managing yeah oh very nice and uh he's the one by the day uh the you know the singer yes he's also oh very nice okay very nice for the movies oh that's very cool yeah it's a really nice design over here i like like the layout of the barber shop kind of got your new york feel to it you know so that's great yeah the bronze yeah yeah that's yeah it's very nice and you said uh one more time uh how many years have you guys had this place been one and a half years one and a oh okay just the reviews yeah wow yeah the reviews are great so that's how i came across the place oh yeah one coffee please thank you so much oh yeah perfect thank you so much wow amazing customer service here guys even getting a coffee while getting the haircut done that's amazing and actually guys you can probably see behind me on the other wall that's manhattan so i guess uh each barber station is set up as a different district inside of new york that's what i'm guessing all right the fade's coming along nicely all right guys so we're getting the shaving cream loaded up all around those areas gonna make for a nice clean shave perfect yeah thank you so much a fresh cup of coffee ready to go i love the uh delivery too i like the uh custom wooden tray right there that's amazing and the gentleman's uh coffee cup thank you so much thank you oh what luxury shave yeah oh yeah whatever is the best yeah perfect so we're getting the uh the specialty here so that'll be the their unique way to get the shave so i'm ready for that i always like trying out the new procedures or not new but procedures from specific barber shops all around the world see how they do things it's very uh interesting there we go we're getting the fresh razor on there popped right in oh yeah that's as fresh as as sharp as it gets for the perfected shave oh yeah that's a good feeling right to the skin oh yeah that looks fantastic oh it's such a nice feeling it just basically glides right off the super sharp razor just it's all gone yeah feeling nice and fresh there love that feeling no more hair the nice part is when you use the razor there it actually stays fresher for a longer period of time that's why when i had it done the first time um maybe i think that was in colombo when i got that one done in sri lanka and it lasted like two three days extra longer like longer when it stayed fresh like that so i gotta keep this up as a trend oh that's nice got like a lemony fruity loops type of smell to it very nice get all the shaving cream off oh yeah that's great perfected baby soft oh yeah very nice good fade right into it oh yeah perfected perfected yeah that looks fantastic oh yeah yep uh-huh love it thank you so much and it feels fantastic too nothing better than that feeling so you guys will get a lot of blending in the final blending basically connecting the skin fade to the top there coming along quite nicely very detailed i don't think there'll be a single hair that was missed is it possible to turn the music down just a little bit yeah thank you if it plays too loud in the background then it won't work on youtube yeah no problem no problem i love the music i wish it i wish youtube didn't do that but yeah the music in the background guys it's really nice it's new york music it fits the vibe but you guys know after you've seen all my videos there's a couple times i've had to take videos down because the music in the background is picked up by youtube's algorithm we're starting with the scissors now favorite sound to hear as you can see it really requires a lot of precision with basically the blend from the fade all the way up to the top of the head where the hair is much longer and the style he's got basically moves the comb while the thinning shears kind of just continuously move up too it gives it a really nice texture too because i have very thick hair so when it gets thinned it actually is much better especially in this humidity oh wait you can see the head shapes coming along much nicer now there we go oh yeah looks perfect fantastic oh yeah very very nice perfect love it thank you so much as you can see guys is looking very very nice here cleaned up nothing better than getting a haircut and just feeling refreshed it's so nice i'm from uh chicago area in the united states yeah america yeah new york's competitor chicago yeah both good cities though and you're from carola no i'm from delhi you're from where delhi from delhi ah very nice i've been to delhi before but it was eight years ago i went there in 2014 2014 yeah long time ago but i hope to go to delhi in two weeks two weeks yeah how many years have you lived in uh kochi one and a half years one and a half years ah new so since the barber shop opened you move here uh yeah oh very nice and you like living down here yes i like it but it's much hotter here the weather hotter the weather uh temperature is higher yeah it's very hot yeah very hot all right guys as you can see we're going to be starting out with the top no the top definitely needs to be trimmed down it's gotten quite long uh the top let's take off um yeah i'd say like maybe like that maybe half inch yeah half inch i think it'll be good i trust you yeah guys you know when it's getting long because i have this little like curl right there on my colic that just starts to like twist sideways and i feel like my hairline is actually starting to recede i think it's because i've been over the last like two years i've worn hats a lot more often basically i've been traveling for the last two and a half years non-stop but i've been wearing a hat for a lot of it some sources say wearing a hat doesn't make your hairline doesn't cause hair loss but i've read some sources that do say it so comment below if you have any factual information on that because to be honest with you my hairline on my head keeps getting further and further every couple months so is back there uh more haircut spots back there is more barber yeah hello my friend how are you fine sir thank you very good yes sir we'll take a little coffee break here guys oh oh we've even got a nice little lid there to keep it fresh and one oh thank you very much thank you so much that's perfect as long as it's not too hot then oh yeah oh yeah i want the best of the best so whatever package is the nicest you have uh i'll take it thank you so much this you need the time for because that's how this takes almost like 2 hours 15 minutes less than like delicious it's good very delicious you need one more you can just that's a that's a strong one so i'll start with just one but yeah no problem two hours is great it's a very enjoyable service so far so thank you very much to you and the staff guys one thing i've learned with haircuts is like a lot of times you might look at just like a little bit taken off it's actually surprising how much a little bit is because when i was younger i used to like see the barber maybe take a little bit off and i'd be like all right let's do a little bit more and then after i'd always regret it so i learned my lesson when i was young might as well just do a small little bit and usually that little bit is enough to make a proper difference because i feel like the sides of my hair grow much much faster than the top but that just could be purely me making that up oh yeah that's the best part to cut that's where i oh yeah that is looking fantastic that brush is a nice tickle to the base there i had a couple hairs that were tickling my uh cheeks and much better very detailed you guys can see the way my uh hair's shaping much easier right now thinned out a bit makes it handle this weather a little bit more like i was telling you before the humidity really makes it puffy and now it's now it's able to be a little flatter which is quite nice yeah it looks fantastic perfect thank you so much that is perfected oh yeah very nice oh yeah perfect love it oh yeah what do you think looks good i look like a new man yeah there we go i love it exactly as i wanted it thank you so much and the best part guys it just feels nice too it's like smooth and then a light prickle and then soft up top oh yeah there we go as you guys can see we'll be getting rid of this beard very soon for the full freshness that razor for the final scraggly's some of those hairs thought they were gonna make it but nope we got you you're done the razor's nice it's almost like a light back scratch awesome thank you so much oh yeah oh i just stretched out the back there a little bit guys next step is gonna be the head massage and then shave i'm excited for this nothing like a good head massage especially after uh getting all the hair removed off my head gonna be directly on the scalp so guys the options we have coconut oil olive oil and almond oil oh all right i think i'm gonna go with almond yeah that's the best yeah yeah perfect we'll do almond then thank you all right we're getting the almond oil in there to start out that's great it's very nice got the temple massage going right now oh that was very nice teleported into a state of full relaxation guys altered the muscles in the head very very good almost fell asleep there such relaxation mode nice part just goes like all in your temples and everything like oh if you had any sort of headache before that it'll be cured after that oh there we go got a little back head massager there there we go and we're turning this way all right full relaxation mode my friends uh-huh very nice anything's good you can do anything and it probably won't hurt me vibrating the whole brain right now oh yeah that was nice feel the vibrations in my brain there in a good way that'll wake you up that is fantastic now it is warm cloths time oh yeah just warming up the scalp so we got the wig cap on now oh the shower cap sweet full clean shave all right it's shave time now perfect yeah say bye to the beard guys it's about to be gone oh yeah this is a steamer just got the face cleaned here and the steamer is going to be starting any second now we're getting the charcoal facial scrub on that'll be nice to clean out the pores oh and right then the uh steam is starting guys as you can see right there as you guys can see this steaming process basically opens up the pores and then the scrub together when the pores are being opened up you can get a deeper cleanse it'll also probably make a cleaner shave too because if the pores are opened up the hair follicles will stick out a little bit more oh that was very nice oh yeah guys getting the face all ready for a beard shave is coming soon just feel that steam going inside the uh body this is shaving cream we've got the shaving cream going on now now that the pores are wide open from that steam as you can see starting to look like santa claus here a thick layer of shaving cream good with the best part guys the shave as you guys can see nice fresh clean shave my face feels totally revitalized right now after getting the steam pores are open head's really relaxed it's really good order of events on how they do it you know the hair could first get the head cleaned up then you get the head massage then you get the uh pores opened we just finished off with a cold towel guys and that was really nice just woke me up again perfect way to get back at it and it closes up the pores again too so ah feels great guys i'll show you a quick sneak peek we only have like one minute left on the memory card but we're doing some moisturizing cream after the entire process here guys we only have like one minute left of recording but we just got a full shoulder and arm massage and that was really really nice oh it like literally like relaxed all the muscles especially holding up this camera for the last two hours it like just uh relieved all that pressure in the hands very nice very relaxing and here we go guys the last hair wash get all the extra hair out of there and towel dried we're back at it all right guys we're doing the last steps here blow drying it getting it all waxed up and we will be done guys i am a new man here look at that wow the face is shining the hair is perfectly trimmed the beard wow that's so so smooth there that looks great thank you so much thank you guys amazing stuff here thank you so much so guys for that entire
